I met both nick and Phil back in 2016 when my friends band opened for wovenwar and unearth. Got pictures taken with both of them. Such nice guys, it was an awesome experience and something I’ll always remember for the rest of my life.
I met Nick back in 08 at a bar in San Marcos. He was really nice about taking a picture with me. Sad to see him go but not surprised he had differences with the band. I also met Phil at a ice cream shop in Oceanside also a really nice dude.
Dude I met him in like ‘09 ans he sat and talked to me for like 30 minutes, gave me his email. Dude is choice
I saw him bartending in SD i think at the Brick by Brick or possibly Soma awhile back. I forgot whi exactly I went to see, possibly a Darkest Hour headliner.

He was too good of a guy to be in the band with the issues of the past. If he’s happy I’m happy however their new music is sick . Phil has always been the riff master of aild

He made the solos and some riffs as well but yeah, it was mainly Phil.
I think Nicks thing is he is extremely emotional and he took the breakup the hardest. I don’t think he knows how to cope with everything that’s happened. Tim has changed a lot and if it was really as bad as Nick implied in his post, the rest of the band would’ve quit too or wouldn’t be promoting the tour.
I think so too. Even if he’s seeing things that are not there, he is very strong in his beliefs and would probably walk away over something like this.
Sure they would it's called money. I'd like to see the rest bail on Tim and bring Wovenwar back.

Look, I agree that Nick was a huge part of the band…but someone here said something like nick was 80% of what made them great. That’s not true nor a fare statement. Phil writes almost all the riffs (which is really what gives them their sound that we all have grown to love). Here is what we are going to miss in the sound… the solos. Nick wrote his solos and was a huge positive energy for them. Now ,if he is having issues with forgiveness or anything of the sort then maybe it’s good he gets away from what is causing him issues so he can go sort things out. AILD is my favorite metal band period. Iv been a die hard sense shadows. I even bought an album that I didn’t care for (frail words, back when CD was a thing) maybe out of some self sense of supporting them. I also agree shaped by fire is one of if not the best body of work they ever did. For me it’s between that and an ocean between us. I just want what’s best for all of em…if that means a split so be it. But let’s be fare to the rest of the group…Nick was not 80% of what made them great
Shaped by fire is so meh. Sounds like typical generic overproduced metalcore. So many other better bands in their genre and similar bands

Yo if this is right AILD is fucked…he's one of the heaviest elements on the band's sound :/…i never looked at them till Shaped by Fire (ya, tell me that i missed something in my metal discovery but i liked other stuff) and now i consider the band one of the most important for modern metal, it was a very motivational album
Phil writes almost everything. I think they'll be fine.
Not sure what he thinks the official account for the band should be posting... It'd be nice if they would give some specifics because given what Tim did the natural assumption for why he left is pretty dark. They're entitled to their privacy but the circumstances are pretty unique and the inevitable speculation is bad for everyone. It was a difficult pill to swallow when they reunited but Tim more than any public figure I have ever seen actually seems to be genuine in changing for the better and now I'm back to wondering if I should really be supporting them.
Same man. That last AILD was solid but at the same time nothing Tim has done since he's gotten out of prison has sat right with me. Every now and then I look at his Instagram and he just seems like he put on a better mask than the one before. Who knows though. I mean shoot, the whole band wasn't even genuine before Tim went to prison. Dudes were praying with fans before shows and then going to strip clubs after shows lmao

I hope this is not truth..but , yes I am not complety surprised as Tim is not the best guy ..I loved Wovenwar because the rest of the band was able to express themselves and those two lPs where excelent music pieces!!
But I love AILD too so..I cannot belive this..so sad..Love you Nick you are great and a humble person..The best wishes for you!!
Sounds like everyone else in the band forgave and moved on and Nick is the one who needs therapy now

I've made eye contact with Nick at a show. That dude was amazing, during the show I had so much fun watching him play. It seems they are having a falling out. Fuck..... Dude.... this sucks.
But Nick didn't write any of the music, if I recall was he only a "studio gun" please correct me if I'm wrong but Tim is the center of the band. Tim has turned his life around as far as I am concerned. I have seen them live going back to the next to last ozzfest back in the early 2000's. Totally I have seen them live 4-5 times. But the last time was live in Greensboro, NC. Nick was there, I made eye contact, he was a baddass. May God bless him.

Nick is nowhere near a founding member of the band. There were several guitarists before him. If he bailed because of what went down with Tim then that's on Nick. If he left to explore new avenues and be with his family then I wish him the best. He isn't irreplaceable.
Wish nick would join all that remains, seems such a waste of musical talent. He would be a good replacement for Oli Herbert.

Tim is narcissistic and was abusive towards Nick in the past. When the band reunited they touched basis on this in an interview. Tim said he was sorry and that he had changed, but narcissist cannot change, only manage or act in a different manner and only for so long. It seems that the bad and hostile behavior returned and he chose to not be treated as a door mat. Props to Nick for moving on.

I obviously don't know anymore than anyone else does but I have seen people online say Nick is a super emotional guy(like very sensitive). I'm bummed out that this is happening but it sounds like this is what is best either way. I hope Nick can find happiness in other endeavors and at least, eventually, mend his friendships.
How can you make the claim that Tim is a narcissist, let alone still one with out any sources?

Many are going to call me an idiot etc etc. But here's a the thing first off lets stop with the whole separating the person from the art excuse. What Tim did was wrong and obviously still has no remorse for what he did, I dont care what he says etc. the Bible says know them by the fruits. And him and the rest of the band now bear bad fruit. And yet the band brings him back despite the evil he committed. Well who's to say he wont ever do that again? Then what? Just act like oh well even if he kills someone we gotta keep on? From a christian point of view, being full of the word of God. The Bible says your sin will find you out, and once that happens things fall apart in life. And this band knowingly as Christians took Tim back just because he's the original voice despite he tried to have his wife killed. Well when you claim youre Christian and yet accept evil, it all falls apart. Im not saying be unforgiving, even myself am forgiving towards anybody. But you cant allow a chance for something like that to happen more then once. The band knows as Christians you cant be bad examples and except evil, and once you do that when God has blessed you with an amazing music ministry that has inspired and blessed many peoples hearts, of course things will fall apart. Because God cant and wont bless that. Again im forgiving towards these guys, but they did it to themselves. Thats exactly what happens. God is a loving God. He is a just God, and also a merciful God. And if there are people claiming to be Christians as a band or whatever and they accept evil. Well Gods going to be like "I don't think so". Enough said.
sucks but I think you'll find phils the riff master... on a seriouse note though tim is completely replaceable. I wish they'd just find another balls to the wall screamer and move on. Imagin as i lay dying with CJ Mcreery on dirty vocals.
Micah Kinard would've been my choice to replace Tim.
that would sound terrible. CJ has a deathcore death metal style of screaming also has a limited range. Not metalcore. you are obviously not a vocalist.
