Him: Doesn't look great
*Proceeds to make the most wicked looking guitar ever*
LOL, artists... there's always that fine line between perfectionism (which is pretty impossible) and pure excellence, which this is.
It's so easy to be critical of oneself. But this guitar is truly a work of art. I'd be happy to own this guitar. It's damn beautiful!
Right? Shit.
Franco from Papa's Taco Mia then make this and let us all see your flawless work of art
Franco from Papa's Taco Mia I’ll wait for the video xD
Baritone, single bridge pickup, looks like lava. Definitely seems metal to me.
My thoughts exactly
Looks like wood to me
@BlissGore 100% RIP
But does it doom?
@@this_guy6965 doubtful, it needs at least two more strings for that.
When this dude starts a guitar company, the music world will never be the same.
I need the first song he played
The rot really works for the metal theme. A guitar made of death for music about death. It also goes well with the black
The dry rot gives the guitar character.
You mean tone....
You mean extra color....
One could say the precursor stage of death metal is rot wood.
@mushnoodle there are better places to spew your magic words
my soul is dry rotted does that mean i have character
Dude your builds are getting better and better. You better start selling
They'll probably be stupid expensive with all the materials, time and work that goes into them
Fernando Cabrera and fair enough! Lotta heart goes into these.
@@fernandocabrera6707 they'll probably worth it. But as you start producing large amounts of products you find out different ways how to cheapen the process without losing quality.
Fernando Cabrera idk he seems like the kind of guy to sell his art for cheap because he would be doing it for free anyway
this will cost a lot, like gibson expensive
I thought he's going to play "Eruption" 😅
i was searching for this comment
* makes volcanic guitar * * doesnt play Eruption solo *
All jokes aside, this is the most amazing guitar I've seen. Love the build 👌
Burls art: I’m not really comfortable playing a baritone guitar:
Then plays demo and slays it.....
Man, I want some more of that first demo song! Absolute slay!
Same thing happened with the shovel slide guitar lol
This guitar is for a new genre of music: “Earth-Core”
You mean Gojira?
BlissGore Right I stayed awake in hopes to see that comment ;)
You mean “Hell-Core”...? 🤣
Drone doom isn’t compatible with -core.
It’s probably pretty djent.
Good God that's the nicest guitar I've ever seen in my entire life. Looks like the kinda thing someone would sell their soul for.
I definitely would
That’s it, I’m writing a Crossroads-like story about that now
wish i had a soul
You would be a major simp if u sold your soul for that. Don’t talk stupid
i would
Burl: builds metal lava baritone
Also Burl: plays Human Nature on it (like a friggin champ, btw)
is that a Micheal Jackson song?
@@nicolassabo1289 yes
Definitely the best looking guitar you’ve made so far but what’s your favourite one to play
It is a good looking guitar but the best is the epoxy river
Ivan Orozco The jawbreaker Flying V is in my opinion the best it looks really cool.
Hardwired nah man the paper one is
My favourite is the horizontal pencil tele that he made.
Nehemiah Zo def not the paper one, it’s cool but far from the coolest
Damn! That thing is mesmerizing! You really need to have your own guitar store with your custom designs.
I don't think it'd be much of a store :D
would just be empty all the time haha
Tom, he could sell merch as well
Hi noypi haha
Marc Cooloot haha, Apir, Kakampi!
@@PutingPinoy apir! Haha
Holy shit dude. You're making some of the sweetest guitars on the planet.
You should play through the fire and flames on this thing.
Love how humble you are but dude this build is a brilliant one of a kind amazing instrument. Making it a baritone was a stroke of genius.
This dude is so plainly spoken and humble about his work. Just shows, still waters run deep. He's more articulate with wood and apoxy than I am with words.
A LED light inside the epoxy would make the lava pop big time. Would look badass 🤘
“Has a metal vibe”
*dig this smooth jazz*
Me: oh look, it's a lava looking baritone guitar, with single bridge pick up. It sounds pretty heavy
Also me: he's goin' to SMASH OUT THE MOST METAL SHIT POSSIBLE!
He: plays a chill demo
Just kiddin', that guitar is just beautiful, i don't care what you play on it
It's Michael Jackson.
Human Nature by Michael Jackson. Killer song though.
This guitar looks like it was crafted in the flames of Mount Doom
This guitar is worthy for saroun himself to shred on!
That Human Nature cover for the demo sounds dope man
By far your most awesome build.
I think the imperfections just adds to the soul of the guitar.
Making It stand out as if it had been alive for a thousand years !
Someone get this man some funding for his own company
Right
I think that's the most metal looking guitar that MJ's Human Nature has ever been played on. Beautiful work man!
I love all of your guitar builds. Each one is so distinctive in its own way. This one being no exception as it turned out fantastic. Awesome job!!!
All your work here is GORGEOUS! The details that you didn’t think makes the guitar unique and like organic looking and That’s wonderful! Great job!
"Baritone guitars are used a lot more for country..."
*gestures broadly at buckethead*
Baritone is used alot in country music. Alot of those low end twang riffs you hear in E are baritone guitars.
@@misterknightowlandco im well aware, i just find it comical that a guy who has referenced Buckethead before didn't mention his use of a baritone
I didn't even know this, I'm a metal guy and have always associated baritones with the bands tuning down to drop A and what not lol
@@patrickftw8464 Just Drop A? What the hell? That's way too high, that's basically standard.
@@freezingjazzy haha right
Imagine making something this gorgeous and then criticizing yourself because of a couple unnoticeable spots in the wood.
Take it easy man, this guitar is incredible!
its too push himself further because anyone can always get better
Agreed. The guitar looks cool as hell. I just wonder, does the dry rot affect like the structure or anything of the wood? Like will it spread or something? I don’t really know anything about woodworking and guitar making, but I think the guitar looks awesome, if anything I think the dry rot adds to the overall burnt aesthetic and such, I just wonder if there’s like a structural reason or anything he was upset about is all
To be honest once he was done with it the dry rot looked amazing on it
Awesome build .
Lovely playing on it at the end.
That is an absolutely stunning work of art. I love the neck wood coloring. Sounds nice too! Good job.
I'd love to see him make a guitar out of ramen noodles.
Dark Skull that would be putrid I would hate that
this is a great idea!
someone did it.
@@RomanDark who?
@Short For A Stormtrooper Big For Your Mom joe who? ;)
That wood cost a mint I bet and the rot adds to the character of the guitar and it plays sweet, thx for your video ,,waiting on the next project you come up with ..peace
SO enjoying these videos, thank you...and please watch your hands!
My favorite guitar of yours so far. Looks and sounds great
This might just be my favorite of all that you've made. The design is stunning and the overall look is just fantastic. It pays homage to some classic styles, but you've set your own course, so it's not a copy of any one of those inspirations. I can't wait to see the next piece of art your mind comes up with. God bless and rock on 😎🎸 and
Me: that’s the most amazing guitar I’ve ever seen!!!
Him: it came out pretty good.
Understatement of the year
I've been following this channel since the first guitar. And I just wanted to say, its really cool to see that you are turning this hobby into a legacy. Keep it up dude 👌
Dude, that thing can totally rock. It may not get the shrill wails we're used to from metal or solo shreds, but it's got a bluesy vibe to it and feels so smooth to the ear.
You are one brilliant man. Your imagination and creativity is crazy! That "Human Nature " cover though. Man, you are unbelievably talented.
Are you playing “human nature” by Michael Jackson!!???
Yes (2)
Yup
Sure is
It sounds like the the John Mayer cover but he threw in his own style and killed it!
This is one of the sickest guitars I've seen. I would most definitely play this on stage.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You are an artist!!!
9:08 don't know if that's what you're trying to say, but baritone guitars are very much common in metal music as well. The shape looks very metal-y as well, similar to a BC Rich guitar. Wouldn't be surprised if you got more buy requests from metal musicians than anybody else lol
This guitar NEEDS to belong to a metal musician. No other genre lives up to the cutthroat build of this monster.
@@charlespate5639 would be so nice for some Lotus Eater type stuff for example
@@charlespate5639 well, Lotus Eater might not be the right type of metal considering the body shape lol
Yeah I defy anyone to play Meshuggah on a standard scale. Except Kmac, he could probably play it on a banjo lol
It's like Jhon Christ BC rich from Danzig
Bro, you're a genius.
Please, PLEASE, make an Epiphone Coronet PLEAAAAAASE
Man this AXE is absolutely beautiful! You're such an amazing luthier! Your craft is truly brilliant! You definitely have a gift! The colors are so striking sounds beautiful as well!
Beautiful workmanship, the guitar looks amazing 👌
can already tell this is going to be a great guitar 🥴
i'm always like "duuuuuuuuude" when you reveal the final product
That is absolutely stunning. Great job mate.
Absolute gorgeous build. That is the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen.
As they say, only the artist knows if his piece is perfect. Loved that you made something similar to the river canyon guitar. Can’t wait to see more of your progress for making amazing guitars.
I'm surprised your jigsaw didn't take one look at that redwood and just go "nope"
I will definitely be calling this guy when I grow up and get my own house. I need one of his pieces on my wall. This is awesome.
It’s over Metalheads. He has the high ground
Because the guitar looks like Mustafar
maybe guitar making, definitely not in playing
@@noahbones1221 I’m pretty sure it was just a Star Wars reference because of the look of the guitar
@@mattmeberg3382 it was
What I would give to commission a guitar from you (alas, could never afford it). I always enjoy watching your videos and marvel at the way you innovate with design, the use of resin and different materials to create something that is both practical/playable and stands alone as a work of art.
And a baritone guitar too?! Fan-bloody-tastic!
Love your work, love your channel!
And was that Michael Jackson's "Human Nature" at the end?! =D
You might be the first person I've seen who has pointed out baritone guitars' use in country rather than metal. Huh.
Jimmy Vaughn
@@zeusapollo8688 Jimmie Vaughan*
Yeah I found that out a few years ago, was a bit surprised. Thought they were directly catered towards metal
There are tons of baritone guitar in country music.
That is absolutely gorgeous and wicked looking at the same time. You are a master craftsman, sir.
Stunning guitar, man. Love your work.
The second demo... reminds me of the clear epoxy guitar demo that I continuously go back to,there’s just something about it that I love so much
From the thumbnail to the end
I love this guitar
I don't know how to play a guitar and until I saw your craftsmanship I wasn't the least bit interested, but I'm now hooked on every single build.... Incredible!
Its a beauty!! You could channel an L.E.D near the P.U. To enrage and illuminate the Lava! Sounds great too!
Good work! Congratulations!
Finally a demo with some distortion 😂🙏🏼
This is spectacular. Possibly my favourite so far
Beautiful build man, the combo of only orange and black is the best lava recipe i've seen yet. And love the way you played human nature!
Honestly his guitar designs I love so much if I had money and I saw a guitar like this I'd buy it no questions asked! Keep up the good work!
Stunning, bad ass build. Love the 30' scale.
Your guitars are pieces of Art. Well done man!
Pretty cool friend!
Keep up building those beauty's.
I love when people get lava pours right, they are so satisfying to look at🤘 awesome job as always
Love the look of this guitar, and the guitar playing.
What if there was a light put inside the guitar, so that the 'lava' will always glow?
I would love to see you make another guitar where a stream of 'lava' starts at the top of the neck (headstock being the crater of the volcano?), and weaves its way down to the body, which is the pool of 'lava'.
I can't imagine how proud you are of yourself. That is the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen.
Nice! It pops that’s for sure. Keep creating. Sky the limit it only stops where you stop it. Thumbs up 👍🏼!
Dude, that guitar rules.
Between the Lava top and the SD pickup I dub it the LaVader :P
Seriously though is there nothing you can't make awesome?
H Bomb Mustafar Guitar...
11:00 Do you have tabs for this arrangement of Human Nature by Michael Jackson? You played it awesome!
pbft.j im wondering the same thing!
Yeah me too, it sounds so nice. Definitely want to learn this arrangement!
ua-cam.com/video/y-LvNc0e7oM/v-deo.html I think this might be the one that comes closest, but i'm not completely sure
or this one ua-cam.com/video/pu9AiPGBzbc/v-deo.html
blackje11 still Haven’t found anything good.. thanks for your help though !
Gorgeous as always. Keep experimenting dude!
You are honestly out here making some of the most unique looking guitars. I used to dream of being a Luthier, I don't even know where I'd start
I have a request for the next video: when playing a demo, could you show the left hand aswell?
The arrangement of human nature at 11:00 sounds so awesome and I would love to play it! But I cannot find a tab that sounds like this and I can't play by ear yet..
Can you play by ear now
If not, I wish you luck :))
"It's made to hang on a wall with some backlight"
Dude
It's a guitar. It's made to be PLAYED! :-D
I really like the soft sound!
This guitar looks the sickest of all your builds. Great Job!
watchin this give me damn chills
If you read this, I hpe you will stay healthy ^^
This is a masterpiece of a guitar. I tripped over my jaw when the finished product was revealed!!! And.. Did I detect a little Michael Jackson in that demo? 👍
This about the 4th build of his i've watched. Almost speechless, i can issue forth 1 solitary word: *ENVY!*
very nice , looks comfortable too...Rock onnn Burl
Robert
Make a guitar where the body is shaped like a headstock and the headstock is shaped and finished like a body
This
Gibson already beat him to it, I'm pretty sure.
Or maybe like, one of the funky fusion sitar guitar or harp guitars if that's even possible
That wouldn't work.... The neck body i guess wouldn't be able to hild the strings and then the Body Neck... woulf be too top heavy
Mike G which guitar
Damn it's just amazing...ever tought of buildig a Hollowbody Guitar??
I am absolutely in love with this guitar.
Dude you knock it out of the park on this one so cool and sound great.
When you see a video like this has any dislikes it really makes you wonder what kind of people are out there in the world..
This is the perfect guitar to play Eruption by Van Halen on. Tribute to the master
Hey man that is a stunning looking guitar btw I think the dry rot just adds to its uniqueness and character. Of all your builds this is definitely my fave.
Awesome build and look! Sounds nice too. Well done sir.
It looks like Kerry King's essence was turned into a guitar
Missed an opportunity to make a headless so clooooooosssssseeeeee
I would love to have that guitar! It looks amazing! Great job.
That neck is awesome! Easy to miss with that body. This guitar is amazing all the way around.
