A friend and I have been (very slowly) building guitars the last year. The inspiration came from your epoxy resin river guitar video. I always had an interest in building guitars, I even tried building one in high school and never finished the project. But after seeing your videos I realized that the world of guitar building is pretty limitless and that was the biggest motivating factor to give it another try. Thank you for exploring your curiosities and documenting it for us.

I've seen electric guitars made paper, pencils, cast iron, all kinds of wood, resin, pvc, polyester, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, mixed metals, nails, concrete, bricks, basalt, glass, plastic rain pipes, shovels, a car wheel and many more. With or without body. Remarkable they all sound very good. One has a little more sustain than the other, but thats all there is. With electric guitars it comes down to the quality of the pick ups, and probably mostly about how it is set up. The build materials dos not matter at all.

I love just how nonchalant you are. Many UA-cam guitar builds are multi episode epics, using thousands of dollars of tools and detailed discussions about material and design choices. Yet, you seem to be able to knock a stunning guitar out without much fanfare in less than ten minutes in your garage, including a tasteful demo that doesn't include any 'Guitar Olympics' shredding nonsense. I know these videos are heavily edited compilations of the entire process and I'm in no way criticising either what you do or make, you're obviously very skilled. It's just refreshing to see someone so understated in a world where hype has overtaken content in a lot of ways.

I think the Dan Armstrong lucite guitars did that many years ago. It seems to me that a body made of such uniform material makes for a sound without many overtones, which makes a lot of sense.
