Amazing build! I heard some minor issues in the demo but nothing that can't be fixed at home. Given that you built it in the woods with hand tools the finished guitar is more than impressive though.
The reason the bone has chipped might that it has not been boiled, Lignum showed that in a video on their channel.

This is insane. When I read the title I thought you’d be collecting the wood then using powered tools on it, not hand tools.

I know this video is 2 years old bu just ran acrossed it every guitar you have built has been amazing. I built a carvin bolt kit many years ago and it was a challenge just getting a finish on it I was happy with. If you still read these my wife and I are retired in Quartzsite Az and love watching working viedos at night. Please let us see the man behind all these great works of art in the future.

Day 1: Wow, nature is so beautiful!
Day 5: Wow, I miss power tools and flushing toilets!
Great work. Love the spalting pattern on the alder. Only ever seen that on European beech before.

I actually kind of like the way it sounds! Especially with the small amp, it sounds like a banjo almost

After jawbreakers, skateboards, salt and coffee beans, wood is one of the last things I thought he’d make a guitar out of.

Your skill with hand tools is very impressive. The guitar looks and sounds great! The tune you played through your mini amp sounded very early "Opry" radio from Nashville. Very impressive project!

Absolutely amazing. I wonder how many people told you that.. You cant do that.. You wont be able to make a guitar from scratch out there..
Again absolutely amazing. Congratulations... It looks awesome

Maybe the most satisfying thing I have ever seen on the internet. I have thought of doing the same thing for sometime now every time I run across a nice piece of wood on a hike. Glad you didn't run out of food!

I make guitars on the road using only traditional hand tools so I can appreciate all the hard work involved. Gotta say that's an impressive build for less than a week! Bravo

Because of this mans channel I get recommended all kinds of other guitar build videos. I actively choose not to watch them though because burls is the OG and it’s because of his original colored pencil vid that this style of video got any traction. So I’m loyal to the goat. Keep doing you brother.

question: is this going to remain stable or is it going to warp/become unstable over time since you took logs out of the woods rather than lumber that has been treated for moisture and stuff? Very impressive build, makes me wanna go live out in the woods. great work

    His friends: what's this guitar?
    Burl: It's a wood guitar.
Friends: Duh, we know it's a wood guitar...
Burl: No I mean it's a wood guitar as in I built it in the woods
    Friends: Ohhhhhh!
