I have a bottom end Pacifica, a 112v, and it punches well above its weight. These guitars look and sound incredible, and the craftmanship....just awesome!
Yamaha is and has been perceived as being underrated, and this one is no exception. My 1st guitar was a Pacifica. I have a Revstar Standard, and it's amazing. This new Pacifica is amazing also! You rock Dagan!
I’ve still got a ‘94 Pacifica 112 that was my first guitar 28 years ago that I bought from a friend. Such a fantastic guitar for the price. The fret work was better on that guitar than the PRS McCarty 594 SE I just bought. Hopefully, people pay attention to these new model Pacificas, they sound fantastic!
I've played Pacificas since the early 90s. A fantastic line of instruments. They avoid the gimmickry of Ibanez, Jackson and all the shredstick companies, and just make solid, practical guitars are good prices.
I've been using a PAC 212 for recording for years. It's unbeatable. I have the utmost respect for their quality products. The best music company in the world IMHO and this guitar sounds and looks amazing. I can''t wait to try one out at some point.
I remember seeing the awesome US band Firehouse at the Renfrew Ferry in Glasgow almost 20 years ago, guitar player used a top end Pacifica which sounded and looked superb!
I've been playing a 721 for years ..I absolutely love Yamaha guitars .your right people just don't know how incredible these instruments are. The Jaoanese designers luthiers workers builders do an awesome job..I wouldn't trade or sell my 721..I want one of these so bad ...I.
Can't wait to try the Professional. I did get a chance to play the Standard Plus and the pickups sounded absurdly good. I can't seem to bond with flat necks, otherwise I would have picked it up. Hoping that the compound radius of the Professional will feel better to my very Strat trained left hand.
I've watched both videos on the new Pacifica guitars. They sound excellent. The pick ups are not a strat sound but a Yamaha strat sound if that makes sense ? Awesome guitars. I think these along with the Revstar, could well cause a problem for the SG and the Strat. I for one now, will be looking at Yamaha.
Pacífica puede ser perfectamente la guitarra más versátil que se haya construido. Desde mi punto de vista, la mejor guitarra de la historia en relación calidad - precio.
Isn’t that like saying your first guitar was a Squier Strat so you won’t go back to buying a Fender Stratocaster? There’s a huge difference between a 012 and either of these new Pacificas, what do you mean? (I’m actually considering a Pacifica, not sure at which of the several price points, so curious to know why you wouldn’t buy the entire brand “again”)
People who want cool-looking guitars aren't going to spend 4K for a guitar with fugly design elements like this one, no matter how well it plays or sounds. Yamahas are never sexy.
@@razzledingle millions of us think they are very sexy and get a clue on prices it's 1350 and 2199. Why are you even on here if you don't like Yamaha. Can't wait til I get my sexy Yamaha!

This sounds ridiculously good!
They really are!
Best sounding guitar I've ever heard
i am obsessed with that maple fretboard model....so nice!

That Blackstar 6L6 sounds glorious 🎉
Just got a 112vm and I am binge watching all the videos that justify my decision lol.
I bought a used 112v (130$) during covid. It was justified 😂😂
The clean tone on the rosewood sounds like a hug from your Nana. Beautiful!

I think Bill's was a 1221 .yellow..I love that he knew the quality and had no desire or need to change to another brand
Thanks yamaha! now is time to update the entry level versions with a 42mm nut! and that's it!
Hopefully everyone figure out how cruelly underrated Pacificas are
Quiet! It’s our little secret, you want the prices to skyrocket!

Yamaha Japan acoustics are unreal
Недооценены? Это при их то цене? Помоему нормально они оценены, даже слишком. Не каждый сможет себе позволить.
@@0megalul309Just played one today and was shocked at the playability for the price.
I think these guitars look amazing
I'll most definetly get one soon. I just bought 3 guitars before watching this review..my next strat will be this Pacifica

Those pickups sound great
Fantastic video. Could you do a comparison between the Professional and the last model Yamaha Pacifica 612? I think they sound similar. Thanks!
Still waiting patiently….. this video helped guide me to purchase one, unfortunately the delivery dates keeps getting pushed back. 😢
Hopefully, they will release the 24 frets Pacifica.
i have made in indonesia pac 212, its good quailty with amazing price, mij looks great
Still kinda surprised Yamaha never released a Scotti Hill signature Pacifica.
That would have been awesome!
Love my 112v.

Cool Stuff
I want one, Rosewood neck in white or sunburst:-)
My first electric was a second hand pacifica!
I read somewhere the Standard plus was also built in Japan ?
There is quite confusion on these guitars for now, even on the prices
The Standard Plus is built in Indonesia 👍
Yamaha is redefining the strat style guitar.
I'd like to see a Japanese made 611
I have 112v, I uninstalled the middle pickup because it annoyed me when picking. I bought it used, and it was so cheap, the best $130 spent
このギターが私の所有する最後のギターになっても後悔がない!そう思う私は無知ですか?
Yamaha guitars are great but try FGN (Fujigen) - best in the world.
16:32 - 16:50 "Educated..." 😂
Rupert Neve is dead, so the pickups are a collaboration with his company.
The pickups sound much like the Ibanez AZ’s. At least that’s what I hear.
I owned an Ibanez AZ with hyperion pickups, they sound totally different. Those in yamaha pacifica are all the way better😉
@@valentinodania7956 if you say so. Can't really tell over UA-cam. Both sound very stringy, clear and balanced. Idk.
Please everyone buy them so they make it left handed and I can buy one 😫
the ultra tap hb had a better output : Fender told me it was more powerful than this one
38 soec. Hold on loosely. 😊
🤘🏿🤘🏿
👍👍🤘🤘
My first guitar was a Pacifica and it served me well. Now I wouldn't go back to buying Yamaha again. This one is also very expensive.

beautifully crafted but 4 grand its out of alot of peoples price range
It’s $2,200, so like half of what you’re saying
@@ChidOki $1345 for the standard

Muy cara. Por El precio tan elevado mejor una Fender estratocaster méxico 800€
no boost = not perfect
maple neck = not perfect for the yellow model
Aesthetics matter. They're gonna have to do something about that pick guard and those mismatching pick ups.
Pickguard is great and refreshing

Only Instagram posers care about asthetics. Recording and label musicians care about sound
@@razzledingleI agree, but they might buy it for half that amount, because these cost $2,200 not 4 grand
Sounds like high end stray.
The price just...😟Yamaha against the boutiques😢
Loved Pacificas for their quality on a budget. But almost £2,000? Nah.
its £1,089 for the standard
Pickups are very clear but totally sterile !
$3.700 🗿
Yeah….really screwed up that one in the video. They’re $2,200

The whole Japanese made BS is just that bs
Like made in America fenders with 99% of the workers being Mexican immigrants
Agreed. It’s as BS as the whole American made BS, Indonesian made BS, and Mexican made BS
Yeah, same with American made BS, just that bs.

It’s not BS, they really are made in Japan.
