USAF TACP 2002-2009. 2007 my patrol hit an IED. 6 killed, me and one other injured. Took me from 2007 to 2009 to learn to walk again and recover. The other guy that survived took his life last year. Thanks for your service sir.
As a former radio operator in the Marines, I got mad respect for you TACPs. That’s some crazy shit though man but you keep fighting the fight brother. Always remember we got you 👊🏼 we can’t all relate to what you’ve been through but I know I speak for all of us when I say we would move mountains for you if requested. Semper fi brother.
Terrible, man. Don't give in to the 18 a day, brothers. Yes, I know, it used to be 22 a day, and 23 before. That number dwindling... isn't necessarily a good sign.
Lost my best friend over there... and have been through 12 years of therapy dealing with PTSD. I love this band, and heard that the lead singer was a Marine combat vet also.
It is a tough video to watch if you are connected to it. We used to say the only thing that was as tough to be military was to be the parents of or married to one. Thank you for you family's service.
Well done Whiskey. As a fellow veteran I'd like to say thank you for your service to our country. I served as an MP in the US Air Force 1986-1990. I am now a retired police officer but the years spent serving my country remains my greatest achievement. I too never faced times of combat but would have been ready and willing to do so in a blink of an eye. Gotta love and love Five Finger Death Punch for thier patriotism. 👊🇺🇸
FFDP knows how to make us choke up, and they definitely support veterans. Sometimes, all people need some support. Guy Sebastian has a song - Standing With You - with lyrics that explores this need beautifully. It is basically saying that I may not always be at your side, but I am with you. We all deserve soothing music, especially after videos like this.
First time I heard and saw this video, I couldn't stop crying and I say that without any shame. And the view of Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia is so chilling and horrifying. War is one of the most tragedy and act of cruelty that humankind can do, because they are no winner, only death, broken people of both side (either soldiers or the family they left behind, or civilians whom have nothing do to with it, but became victims.)
No need to apologize for 'rambling'. Everything you said is true and needs to be said, again and again, by many. Our vets deserve better! Thank you for your service.
I served in 93-2000. USMC Force Recon. I was overseas for five years straight. We were the ones who had started making the early push into Afghanistan. We were in contact everyday. Some firefights lasted for what seemed like days. We lost a lot of good men. I'd like to thank you for your service, Sir. SEMPER FI
There are many, many of us out here that feel every death, every pain that war inflicts upon our soldiers. We cry for them. We scream in rage and sorrow for them. And we feel impotent to help make it STOP! It will never stop. So we live our lives and keep that pain of reality inside where all the hopeless feelings are kept and try to find enough peace to smile at something, anything each day. The sun does come out eventually.. really!
Thank you for serving your country 🇺🇸 I'm a Canadian 🇨🇦 & my wife is Filipina - Philippines 🇵🇭- so you being a Marine REALLY means a lot to me- thank YOU to the Marines for liberating her homeland in 1944-1945. Peace be with you, your families & loved ones 🇺🇸🪖🙏🇵🇭✈️🙏⚓️🇨🇦 I've been a history nerd 🤓 📚 my entire life & I'm just SOO thankful, gratefull, fortunate, etc., to the American military & veterans & I forever will be
Just seen your 2 reactions to 5 finger death punch.. wrong side of heaven and Gone away this morning. I appreciate your attention to the veterans and I appreciate all the veterans that have served. My husband and I both served in the Army and I did my time 1990-1994 during desert storm. I was honorable discharged 1994 all messed up and only discharged at that time 30% disability. It took 26 years to fight to get the 100% disability that should have been given when discharged in 1994. Soon I will get my service dog but it took so much support from my family to help where the government did not at the time. My family would help me get through to the next day by choosing life. PTSD never goes away. It is like a movie.. seeing the trauma in replay all the time due to a gesture, a tone in voice, a movement, and other triggers. PLUS all the injuries that occurred during our time of service in the military. They can not replace my spine/back, they can not erase the ptsd/depression/anxiety from the trauma. Now as a disabled veteran that has experienced what military life has given, I would like to thank all my fellow veterans and all the active soldiers for their service as well. Veteran is a person who wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount of up to and including One's life. I will never forget the sacrifices made by all soldiers that made it home and that did not make it home. I do love Five Finger Death Punch music and one song I'm not sure if you heard that also hits home is called "Remember Everything" and also a song by Linkin Park called "Castle of Glass" if you get the chance to react to those 2 songs/vidoes would love to hear your opinions as well.
I was a combat medic for 21 years active duty, joined in 1998, deployed plenty of times (did a lot of missions with the Marines ❤) was also on a TST (time sensitive target team), seen some horrible sh$& in combat, I have 4 little ones and wifey and I are both still together on our first marriage❤ love FFDP but almost all their videos are hard to watch because they are so damn accurate. Ty for you service and ty FFDP, amazing as always ❤
I'm in my 50s now. When I was a young teenager, I was in army cadets. I attended with a another kid my age, and we became friends. I went to his place a few times where I got to meet his dad. He was a Vietnam vet who had done at least 1 tour of duty on the ground. Even at my young age, I could see that this man was deeply, deeply haunted by his past. As a single parent, he was a good man but very, very quiet and seldom went into public. The memory of him has stuck with me for the last 40 some odd years. I thank everyone who has served but maybe more so, everyone who has served on the front lines. What you did means something and I at least will not forget...
Big Hugs Whiskey! You are so right about we need to do better! I don't know what is going on with your channel. I came over to watch Dan Vasc videos and noticed this video. I got no notification on it and it is a day old. Again, BIG HUGS!
I get goosebumps everytime I listen to this song. I lost my parents when i was young and losing my mom hit really hard and that's what this song is for me but It still my favorite song
I was born on camp Lajuun NC and I wanted to become a marine like all my family around me but as soon as we found out I had epilepsy I was devastated. I'm now 20 and I just wish there was a direct way I could support the ones in combat, but since I can't I will try to support the ones in bad situations on the home front.
Brother i cry every time with this video and wrong side of heaven also nakes me bawl like a baby cuz my brothers and sisters deal with this I'm lucky i have a support system in place but can't forget this is the consequences of being a veteran
FFDP is one of my fav bands. I worked in max security prison as a correction officer, for 23 yrs, and have ptsd. Their music has carried me through some tough days and nights. IGY6💙
This is the first time I am watching you--so I will definitely check out FFDP Wrong Side.... I am a Navy vet, served back in the late 70s early 80s. Much love and respect to all my brothers and sister who served and who are serving. Rgise who survived war......words cannot express the joy you survived and much thanks to you during that STRESSful time. I cry everytime I watch this video. The realsim to their videos is amazing.
New sub. Sorry I didn't find your channel sooner! Also, this is actually a cover of the Offspring song. It is hard to watch, but at the same time, it's bringing awareness to a lot of people who have no idea. Thanks for the reaction.
imma be honest, when i pick videos to watch its cause one video was recommended and then i end up spiraling down a rabbit hole of videos of different people doing the same thing, a while back i was watching reactions to wrong side of heaven and youtube decided to pop up some recent ones so i did my rabbit hole thing
This is emotional for me because the day after 9-11 I visited all 4 branches of military but because of my history none would accept me. Wish I could have had the opportunity to serve my country
I highly recommend a song from Australia from a band called Redgum, I was only 19. This song is iconic in Australia. Just FYI, this a cover of The Offspring's song.
I have naval tatt's that people claim are me trying to steal valor, but they are to repsect my father that was in the navy and they are related to the ships he served on and his service. He was was kidnapped and mudurder in 2016 and they are a way for me too keep him in my heart and let people know he was important too.
Folks need to mind their own business or at least ask before they go apeshit. Family was all Navy, and I was medically discharged in basic due to an issue we didn't know about, and folks live to tell me "you don't deserve those"
@@ArgentLeftovers I couldn't join because I have a metal rod in the middle of my femur due to a motorcycle accident so I understand entirely. I don't ever claim to have served, hell both of these ships were retired when I was a child it would be foolish to claim I served on them. However I did call the Naval office and go the very last 2 prints of sketches done of them. They had to get approval from an admiral and I provide reason and my dad's service record to get them though, it took weeks.
FFDP- Coming Down is a song that tackles bullying and suicide, and comes with a suicide trigger off the top, so be aware of that The Bleeding is another great song that tackles relashonships
This song made even more impact with the use of 9/11, of I ever served I don’t know if I’d be able to handle telling my comrades wives or husbands their husbands or wives were killed in action, I always get effected when people cry even when people fake crying, so this would effect my emotions way way more cause what I’d told them would be the reason they are crying
I don't serve hell I can't due to what I was born with but allot of my best friends are Veterans and my friend Mike..He just lost two brothers in arms two Christmases ago
Sir! I have not seen any reaction video about this song or the Wrong side of heaven without sad emotions. My throat always choking and my eyes are always wet when I seeing them. I think you have to see the One from Metallica (Official music video) and The day that never comes (Official music video). Heavier music but they worth a review.
Well I hope all is well haven’t seen a vid in 5 days and you still haven’t looked at Dan Vascs new masterpiece my heart will go on when you can join the hundreds of thousands that have freaked out over this one well it’s on everyone’s Playlist now lol and we have heard a 100 time or more over and look n to Dans I quit making vidios love dude God bless
