      @@marsbarzartNah, I worked in a hospital and went an entire year without catching it. Did every precaution to the T. Then BOOM, I caught covid. I stopped being so careful afterwards. Things are gonna happen whether we prep for them or not. The key is to be able to adapt and adjust to what life throws at us(confidence), not prepare for every possibility (worrying).

      @@randomcharacter6501 I wasn’t talking about catching it, I was talking about making sure you had food water toilet paper once the announcements go off!
      No matter what you’re worrying about as long as it’s a reasonable worry, preparing yourself for worst case scenarios will never be wrong!!!
      I’d rather be that hypochondriac worrier w mountains of supplies
      Vs happy go lucky carefree “that shit isn’t happening to us” mentality
      with nothing besides hopes, dreams and candy canes.
      As long as you don’t make that your life purpose to prepare for everything .
      I’m going through and making sure that you have peace of mind for anything is over all important .

    "Anxiety hinders intelligence" is something that my counselor told me that I keep in mind every day. Looking back, if you take stress and anxiety from your decision making, you're more likely to make a good decision. Bad decisions are usually made from the place of fear. I have beaten social anxiety recently. For years I was afraid of what people thought of me or I was afraid I was in the wrong place and time, I was afraid I would be judged for the most simple things, especially when I do things alone. Last week it was really hot in my city and I decided I wanted to go swimming in a local community pool to cool down and normally going to a pool where other people would be in the pool would cause me to feel so much anxiety over fear of being made fun of for being at the pool on my own without a friend with me. Well the other day for some reason, I had absolutely ZERO social fears around all of the other people in the pool. It's almost like my desire to cool down outweighed my social fear. Since that day though, I have NO social anxiety anymore because I realized that everything I was afraid of wasn't actually true, my mind was just creating a false story that wasn't the truth at all. I ended up having an amazing time at the pool and it was great. Now I find I can actually talk to people without any fears of what they think. Anxiety can be helpful if you allow it to inspire the right change in you! I'm continuing to work on keeping my social anxiety down, it helps me so much to just not be afraid of what others think! This is a great video!

      @CibitiPro 4 місяці тому +2

      Your journey through social anxiety is incredibly inspiring. It’s remarkable how a simple desire, like cooling down on a hot day, can shift our mindset and dissolve long-held fears. Your experience at the pool demonstrates how confronting our anxieties, even unintentionally, can lead to profound personal growth. Realizing that our fears are often unfounded stories our minds create is liberating. By continuing to challenge these fears, you're not only reducing anxiety but also expanding your comfort zone and enriching your social experiences. Keep embracing these moments of courage!

    • @bullseye8841
      @bullseye8841 2 місяці тому

      @@whohoo-sz2uv It actually goes away faster than you expect. Not instantly, but within a few days or weeks, you forget about whatever bothered you about it to begin with. Then it just becomes specific things, like not wanting to go to the public pool. But since you've built momentum, you can more easily engage those moments.
      For me, one of the best things I did for my social anxiety was get an office job doing customer service calls. I was smart, stupid, fearless, knowledgeable, compassionate, and curt every single day to both customers and coworkers. By the time I left that job, I wasn't afraid to talk to anyone.
      Hope this helps!

    I once had a nurse who once suggested that when your brain has you in the grips of anxiety, try thanking it. Thank your brain for keeping you safe and move on. The internet may tell me it isn't foolproof but that won't make it any less of a useful tool for somebody.

      What a fascinating approach to anxiety! By thanking your brain for its protective intentions, you acknowledge the role it plays without letting it dominate your actions. This simple yet powerful gesture can shift your mindset from one of conflict to cooperation with your own mind. While it may not be foolproof, it's a valuable tool for many people. Embracing such techniques highlights the importance of self-compassion and mindfulness in managing anxiety. It's a reminder that even small mental shifts can make a big difference in how we experience and respond to our thoughts.

    I suffer from anxiety daily I stopped drinking in Jan. I used alcohol a lot to calm worries and anxieties. Anyway a few days ago I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I went to a karaoke night I knew no one there. When I sung karaoke in the past I always I thought I can never sing sober. Come this weekend I thought bugger it I'm getting up in front of these people sober and I'm gonna sing and I did. I'm so glad I did. Moral of the story no one cares if u can sing or not even if they did who cares not worth worrying about cos I guarantee they don't think about the next day.

      Your story is incredibly inspiring and a testament to the power of pushing through discomfort. The transition from using alcohol as a crutch to facing your fears head-on, sober, is a monumental step. Karaoke might seem trivial to some, but it symbolizes confronting vulnerability and societal judgment. Your realization that people's opinions are fleeting and inconsequential is liberating. By prioritizing your personal growth and enjoyment over fear of judgment, you're embracing a more authentic and courageous way of living. Keep celebrating these victories!

    Anxiety is the bi-product of uncertainty. An important test at school for example, can give people anxiety. The next day, you go to class and the teacher is putting everyone's test results upside down on their desk. You're sure you passed, but a few of those questions sounded like trick questions to get you to second guess yourself, and now your stress and anxiety is through the roof. You turn the test over and in big red writing you see 💯 Great Job! Just 10 seconds before that, you were worrying, and nothing else mattered, and now you are elated and excited.

      Shifting the narrative we tell ourselves can indeed be life-changing. Overcoming the limiting beliefs and negative stories tied to our past, especially those influenced by family, is a significant achievement. It’s empowering to realize that we have the agency to redefine our paths and not be confined by inherited trauma or past mistakes. Your journey forward, breaking free from these constraints, is a powerful reminder of resilience and self-determination. Each step you take towards a positive future is a testament to your strength.

    I've been diagnosed with Agoraphobia with Panicattacks
    about 20 years ago, and it got extremely severe.
    These are things that helped me turn my life into
    a happy one despite of it:
    1. Keep a sober mind.
    - if you are not sober, your stream of conciousness
    has it a lot easier to trick you into things you don't need
    2. Keep you body fit
    - in a fit body, anxiety and panic symptoms feel less severe
    3. Practice to rest effectively through meditation and yoga
    - this takes time and practice, but it will become natural
    eventually
    3. Make Plans and totally commit to them (small and achievable Plans
    if your anxiety state is very severe) and take your fears with you.
    - don't fight your anxiety, instead develop a mindset that
    your anxiety is a child that you take care of and take
    with you. Show the child step by step that everything is ok.
    4. If you encounter Toxic people, be polite but distant and try to keep
    them out of your life. Don't take their words personal, their toxicity
    is their way of suffering.
    5. Learn to say no, if you are exhausted and need to rest, then use 3.
    6. Be helpful to others as good as you can but 5.
    7. If you pray, don't pray for yourself, but for others.
    8. Don't take your stream of conciousness too serious.
    - instead try to observe it (point 3. helps a lot)
    and decide what is useful and what not. Say aloud
    "this is useful" or "this doesn't help"
    9. Learn to laugh about yourself.
    10. Read Books by the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius
    - you don't have to become a master stoic, but he has so many
    useful advises on how to life a simple but good life

    Totally! Been sleepless about "Monkey Problems" lately but then I tell myself to STFU and figure out new ways of making money. Yeah sure its easier to just drink alchohol and let go but that doesn't eliminate anxiety it just pauses it for later and gives you a bigger headache. Instead, I am just using my anxiety for good instead of stressful fear. I find you do more when fueled by fear then by hope.

    1:58 golden lines bro !. We predict that shits will happen to us but why can't we predict that even good things can also do happen. I mean if we are so good at predicting things then why it's not balanced prediction between good and bad. Why it's only dominant towards bad prediction.
    Great Thought bro

    I’ve had extreme anxiety in the past and all these are good tools. Especially the breathing technique. It doesn’t even have to be exactly 4, 7, 8. It works very well even the first time. Humming or ohming works too. I am a really happy person if I work out regularly and if I don’t I am extremely depressed.

  • @IFGchannel931
    @IFGchannel931 5 місяців тому +4

    The 4/7/8 breathing technique should be explained more as "Fill your lungs slowly, hold for a much as it's comfortable, breathe out fully and slowly". Timing the seconds is not a good basis, as it's harder to hold your breath if your heartrate is through the roof for instance.

    • @CibitiPro
      @CibitiPro 4 місяці тому

      Your point about the 4/7/8 breathing technique is very insightful. Indeed, focusing on the essence of the technique rather than strict timing can be more beneficial, especially during high-stress situations when our heart rate is elevated. Emphasizing the importance of filling the lungs slowly, holding the breath comfortably, and then fully and slowly exhaling aligns better with individual needs. This flexible approach allows people to adapt the technique to their current physical state, making it a more accessible and effective tool for managing anxiety. Thank you for sharing this valuable perspective!

    Your emotions always make sense, it's the thoughts behind it that might be irrational. Another thing is, don't try to control anxiety by doing different kinds of breathing exercises or meditating. It only creates more tension. I highly recommend watching Shaan Kassam. His advice helped me the most in dealing with anxiety.

  • @Kyoto99952
    @Kyoto99952 2 місяці тому

    Don't fight anxiety. Let it get on board with you on your journey. YOU hold its hand and show IT the way. And IT will learn to become brave. You need to externalize anxiety - separate it from you because it's not part of you. it's not you. It just lingers there. You thought the right thing to do was to give it your attention and listen to it, because it seems so urgent. But you'll realize after multiple times - it's always whining, it's always there in whatever shape or form, small or big, demanding you to attend to it. But you can make a compromise by attending to it later, after you took action. You take bold action first and then say ''see? you didn't die? good boy''.
