I came in fully dilated at 32 weeks. But instead of being told I was big for 32 weeks the nurse didn't even believe I was pregnant because I wasn't showing. So she sent me to triage for "stomach pains." Triage comes in and I tell her to check me, she lifts us the blanket then yells "get her out of here!!" They rushed me down the hall back over to labor and delivery. Passed the nurse that didn't believe me and the look of shock on her face was priceless 😂 Got in the room, 2 pushes and she was out. She had to spend a few days in NICU for observation then we went home 😊
That's crazy. I'm glad the first nurse actually saw you and seems to have taken it to heart because she was so surprised. I don't think she'll be making that mistake again any time soon
When they told me they had to take my pre-term baby to the NICU. I said “absolutely, of course, I completely understand, he should go get checked out” but my arms literally wouldn’t move to let him go. She kept saying you need to give him to me mom and I keep saying “yes, of course I understand” and not moving. Eventually, the midwife had to just pry him out of my arms. 10yo now and he is still the best to hold onto.
When they took my daughter she’d had to be resuscitated twice already and I was like, “Yes! Take her!” But I also couldn’t let her go. They had to grab her, I didn’t resist but I couldn’t hand her over. She’s a spunky 8 year old now
I wonder if it's just kind of instinctual to a degree, I don't have kids personally but I've heard of this exact scenario so many times. I can't imagine it's very easy to hand over your newborn to anyone in any scenario honestly 😂 The important thing is though that they all know they're loved, even when they're in the NICU or being looked over my medical professionals instead of being cuddled for any amount of time. They know they're loved before they're even born. I'm glad you still got a little bit of cuddle time before your son went to the NICU
It's kinda stupid but I was shocked to see my baby naked when he came. 😂 I don't know why I was that stupid in that moment XD I don't know what I expected. I guess I was just very tired after giving birth.
I told the nurse who was monitoring me that I had to push. Ahe said I just checked you, you arent dilated enough." You dont need to push. I told her again and she yelled at me and told me to relax it wasn't time. Then there was a baby boy on the table 2 min later and she was screaming for a doctor stat!
I feel like every time you have a fully dilated pregnant mama you should say BEFORE you deliver the baby “ It’s a beautiful day to have a birthday” or Let’s have a birthday! Edit) MOM IM FAMOUS!!
Yup, been there, done that. 32 week preemie, Only in NICU 3 weeks. No physical, mental, cognitive or lung issues, came home with no monitors, etc. He is now 31 and has a 2 year old daughter. God is good!!
With my first son i went into premature labor months before he was supposed to be born (due date was in January, went into premature labore in October). Everyone in my husband's family kept telling me it was braxton hicks to not worry. Contrations got worse so i went to the hospital thankfully they were able to stop them but did confirm i was going into labor
My water broke at 31.5 weeks. Drs tried to keep me from delivering with Magnesium. That didn't work. I was alternating between progressing and stalling out for 3 days... Baby finally came and was less than 4.5 lbs. They let her stay on my chest for a minute and then whisked her off to the NICU. Staff was amazing. She was there for 2 months but is totally fine and growing and developing just like she should!
When I had my 2nd child this past March, my beautiful baby girl, my nurse didn’t believe me when I told them that my water broke (I was there for an induction) & an hour later, the same nurse (who spent the last hour denying me pain medicine because I’d gotten numbing done but no meds) refused to believe me when I told her that my daughter was ACTIVELY MOVING DOWN MY BIRTH CANAL, & when she was able to put her *entire hand up there,* she went to get the other nurse “for a second opinion.” That nurse came in & put her fingers in & looked at the other nurse like she was stupid & then said “she’s crowning.” They went to grab the midwife & I grabbed the rails of the bed & told the nurse who’d refused to believe me this whole time that I could physically feel my daughter coming out & my body was pushing & it was officially out of my control. She said “no, no, you can’t push yet,” & I looked at her and said “DOES IT LOOK LIKE I CAN FUCKING CONTROL IT?!?!” She looked stunned & then the other nurse came back with the midwife, they put me in stirrups, and my daughter was born in 25 mins. 😂 Needless to say, I didn’t need the induction & I didn’t get any pain meds, but as bad as the pain was in the moment, I can look back on it now & I am so grateful to have been lucky enough to feel my daughter’s every movement. It sounds weird & gross & it was, but it was also incredibly beautiful, just like my baby girl is. :)
So amazing! That happened to my best friend too. She said she was going into active labour and all her labours were fast this was her 3rd baby. The doctor told her, no it was going to be a while he was literally walking out of the room, her mom looked and said she’s crowning… baby in less than 20 mins.
Happened with my 6th and only son. Born so fast 1) nurse was frozen 2) student trailing the nurse had a look of horror don't think she will be a nurse 3) no doctor present showed up 15 minutes later 4) warmer wasn't even turned on an bassinet was still in sterile plastic 5)my husband "What time was he born?" 6) my response to my husband "12:24am 😂.....this is what happens when doctors don't listen to patients. Went from a 3 to a 10 in a hour. Paged the nurse to pee and it went from I need to pee to I need to push. Baby landed on the bed with 1 push in a gush water. Pretty awesome calling out his time of birth.
@ElleISOElohim I feel pretty hard. My doc office said go ahead and go to the hospital and just get checked out. Baby was fine but my blood pressure was super high.my body wasn't ready, was in the hospital for 4 days getting induces before they had to have emergency c-section.
During my birth I don't remember a whole lot but I remember the Doctor walking in just like this and saying "the ladies always scream when I walk in" if I hadn't have been trying so hard to hold that baby in I would have laughed. Do they have like, catchphrases or something!? 😂
@@MissDarknSpooky some have egos, I’ll tell you that. Most are pretty amazing teammate’s though. They shouldn’t really have catch phrases like that though, as it’s unprofessional. I dont know where it went and i didnt have much anyway. Man thinking about it i almost start crying because i almost lost my son. I feel for those moms and dads you lost their babies. I was born at 28 wks. Fully developed everything. I have a slew of health problems now, but I fought the good fight to get here! Oh, and they had been trying to stop labor for hours and my mom's doctor just happened to be in the hospital sleeping after a different delivery when Mom was rushed in from the local hospital. She relaxed when they told her that the doctor was there and I basically fell out while he was still scrubbing up. 😅
Wow that’s early, I wonder if it actually was 28 (most (over 60%) of US estimates of conception are a week off, some are even more, because we don’t do an early ultrasound) but some places have it really accurate
Yeah they base it off of the last period, and most of the time women aren't pregnant at the point of the last period. She could have gotten pregnant during the period they could have gotten pregnant two weeks after the period. They tend to base the due date off of the last period or the level of the hormones when you finally pop positive on that stick. I know when I got pregnant down to the day. I know because my boyfriend was sick and that's how I convinced him to go to the hospital, then we were both sick for 2 weeks after that and 4 weeks after we took him to the hospital, I popped positive.
I was born at 7 months and was in the NICU for one day (born in Honduras). So whenever I go to a doctor and tell them their reaction are hillarious! Once the doctor dropped their clipboard 😅. I also don't have any major problems that came from that so, yeah.

My mom gave birth to my sisters early. Cuz one of them was facing the wrong way so they had to do surgery to get them out. The are safe right now and are at 4 years of age. 💖 But the youngest one has been through a lot 😢, she has epilepsy, she had to get stitches. I wasn't early, but my mom was small for full term. They didn't believe my mom was in labor, tried to get her to sit in a wheel chair and my mom just kept shouting "She's coming! She's coming right now! I will NOT sit on my daughters head!" 😂
"look pretty big for 32 weeks..." I looked like I was full term from 16 weeks onwards. People were always shocked when they say that I was bigger than the last time they had seen me....
I delivered at 32 weeks it was way more dramatic 😂 plus there were like 15 nurses in the room. Still sad I didn't hold my baby before she went to NICU.

What moms in the mood to hear that when fully dilated? That happens after. You know when she stops screaming from the pain
My OB attending in med school would often ask "are we ready to have a birthday?" at some point prior to actually delivering the baby
Let’s have a birthday would be for Korea, Americans wait a full year for the Birthday.

I wasn't early, but my mom was small for full term. They didn't believe my mom was in labor, tried to get her to sit in a wheel chair and my mom just kept shouting "She's coming! She's coming right now! I will NOT sit on my daughters head!" 😂
The greys anatomy quote👏🏻✨
The pushing sounds with this filter hilarious
These are so funny with the voice filter oh my God😂
Love How doctors think that they know more than the mother who's going through the physical feelings of giving birth🙄
"look pretty big for 32 weeks..." I looked like I was full term from 16 weeks onwards. People were always shocked when they say that I was bigger than the last time they had seen me....
We not going to talk about the fact that the nurse just threw the mug on the ground
Only real people know where “it’s a beautiful day to save lives” is from ❤
Me in the 32.weeks : 😱 I don't want to giving birth !!!
Similar situation with my sister and nephew. Not dialated, emergency c section. He's a healthy little boy now.
The Derek shepherd ❤
I delivered at 32 weeks it was way more dramatic 😂 plus there were like 15 nurses in the room. Still sad I didn't hold my baby before she went to NICU.
I love your videos. Would love if you could do an active labor for 72 hours before the baby makes it's entrance.
omg literally me, and my birthday is tomorrow :D another year of life 💪
