Im a 13 year old selling on whatnot with my dad. I flip and sell my cards, i spent 3 and a half hours live on whatnot and made 260 dollars selling singles low end. I love whatnot❤
Just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate these videos. So helpful and informative. I have my first card show coming up and your advice always helps me feel more prepared. Keep it up!
Hi , i just got into the hobby stuff , i am from greece and here the hobby now starting to growing, today i found your videos and i have to say, they are very helpful , so thank you for the much needed help😊😊
@@Sincity702boytoo many variables. Your budget, the sport, player position, player era, modern/vintage/junkwax, etc etc.. determine your starting funds, and go from there that would be your biggest factor. If your budget is $1,000 then low end cards could be $1-$50 and mid could be $50-$500
Growing up I collected cards for fun, as I’ve grown and started to get heavier into sports cards I’m looking into starting to sell so this video is very helpful, thank you!
We love your video. Thank you for all the info you give, plus its so helpful. We have so many Basketball cards starting from the 1970's. We just want to sell them but we just don't know where to start. We would rather sell them all, instead of going on ebay.
Great video for someone just learning (as in me). Do you have a video on whether or not to send cards for grading and or how to assess your own cards. All the online guidance I've found to try and apply PSA approaches (or other grading companies' approaches.)
Easiest and most profit are mutually exclusive I think. I sold mine on craigslist. 1st person offered 10% less, told him no, 2nd person paid in full. One quick transaction, no fees, no damage in shipping, no 'item not as decribed', no 'item not received', no setting up at a show and sitting there all day. It was way too much to take to a show, but that's not a bad option if you don't mind the admission fee, travel, time, haggling, etc.
COMC does do eBay auction service if you go through their consignment but that and their buy it now listings on there have some downsides like higher shipping cost for the buyer and etc.
The only thing that I would say that maybe you got wrong was with comc if you have 1 card that you sent and need back it isn't a high price for shipping. It is $5 and 3 to 5 days. If you have multiple cards it is an extra 50 cents per card if you want the same quick processing and quick shipping. If you want to pay $5 flat shipping for multiple cards it is currently taking 3 months. Usually I think it is 3 to 5 weeks.
Thanks so much for this video! I have boxes of cards from the 80's that I stored away and didn't know what to do with. Regarding consigning [PA or DCSports] are there any negatives with sending the whole lot? Cheap, poor-quality cards and all? Will those amount to unnecessary costs adding up? Will I need to filter out the lower-end cards- or do they do that too? Can you set a threshold [$3 or less) and any card that falls under that will not be added to the listing??
What's your experience like selling cards on the whatnot marketplace? Not going live or anything just listing in their marketplace. Also what are your thoughts on selling bulk? Is it worth sending to a consignment service like comc or not worth anything at all?
I’ve sold a few things that way, but haven’t done enough to have a real opinion on it. Depends on your definition of bulk. But in general yes there’s value and I’d have someone else handle selling it for me
Another thing for people to remember and understand is for auctions there needs to be at least 2 buyers wanting the item to bid the price up. Even if it’s a rare item and the right buyer finds it if no one else is bidding they will get it for cheap.
Hi, I'm in AZ and inherited a card collection of 24 boxes full of cards, baseballs, bats, framed items and want to sell as a whole unit. What would you suggest for the best way to do this?
I noticed that DCSports does not take cards prior to 1980 and I have a lot of cards that fit that category. Why don't they take them and how would you suggest I sell them? Shows?
I have an Mbappe whitebox 1/1 NT vertical on card auto. It was originally one of the /25 card but never got stamped. I can’t seem to get a sold answer on what the card would be worth. /10 of the card sold for $12k when the set first came out and recently an out of /75 just sold for $2100. How would you figure out the value on this card and where would you sell a card like this?
Thanks for the guide! What is your criteria/threshold to go with DCsports over doing it yourself since you do have your own store and sell cards full time? Second, feel free to point me to the video if you already covered this but how much do you promote for your BIN listings? I've only been selling for a few weeks and promoting has helped sell my stuff but the 13.5% plus promotion of 7-12% plus 30 cents seems to cut into the profits quite a bit. In short, do you promote, do you select their recommended percentage, or the dynamic option, or what? Thanks again.
I'm still confused! I'm in this boat now. I'm out of work, struggling to find a job, and would like to have my own full time business selling cards. My friend who owns his own card store recommended selling on Facebook marketplace to start out, and he would also pay for a table for me to sell at a con. I have zero experience in selling anything online, as well as I've never used paypal or online banking. What can you truly recommend for someone as green as me right now?
The cards I have are in very nice shape, always having been in hard plastic envelopes since new. Would it be worth sending them off to be graded? what would the cost of grading be?
i Have a Mickey Mantel, Willie Mays, Duke Snyder signed baseball. However it's signed by William white and hand numbered any thoughts all the ones I have seen are bobby brown Does this make the ball more rare

I was told DC has roughly the same fee structure as a standard eBay listing - is their percentage on top of eBays 13%? Would you recommend it for lower end bulk? Thanks for the insight Trike!
I had heard that too, but doesn’t seem to be the case in my experience. I don’t know how exactly they do their fees. But for instance I just sold a card for $17.42 and walked away with $13.44 or roughly 77%. It’s definitely my #1 option right now for bulk low end that I don’t want to deal with though.
