I think it was 73 when we started having a reggae disco at MSA Birmingham, in a darkened annex classroom just of the girl's playground ( yes the playgrounds were separated in those day's). This was the highlight of my day and we gulped our lunch down to get to the disco, teachers would put their head around the door every 15 mins lolllll. Yes Ali , Jimmy , Duncan and Brian were there dancing.
@@DNOstalgia Forgot to say Earl was there dancing too. I can still feel and smell that room with its non stereo record player. I have those long narrow school photos with us all on.
While your average UA-cam viewer might see this as some low quality video of an interview of some obscure musician, those in the "know," such as UB40 fans like myself, will recognize this for what it is - a PRECIOUS video documenting the thoughts of one of the "pillars" of one of the greatest reggae bands of all time, Brian Travers. If you go back and listen, especially to those initial UB40 albums, you come to realize how INTEGRAL Brian's sax work was to UB40's overall sound. It just wouldn't be "UB40" without him. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "DNO" - you are doing "God's work" by posting such videos on UA-cam, and reminding the world what a true "gift" they were. ☺👏👍 (See, I told ya I'd be going through your ENTIRE playlist this summer! 😁)

You sir, are a gentleman and too kind. Big love. 😁👍🏻
Brian ❤
With the release of UB45 immanent it's sad to watch the band doing interviews without Brian. I miss him so much...
That's Bob Mills, not Brian.
Boom boom! 😂😂😂
@@DNOstalgia No, really. The interviewers name is Bob Mills, not Brian Mills.
