My husband and son made this for Mother’s Day with salad. What an absolutely DELICIOUS meal!!!!!
I love the detail you go into. It's great when people help you develop and understanding instead of just telling you what to do.
Made this tonight for the wife and kids.....came out very well, thumbs up all around....sauce was really good also.
I like that you have a variety of foods on your channel. A lot of youtubers have all desserts, or mostly savory recipes with a few unique desserts. Nothing wrong with that, but...
You have a good mix of tasty savory food and decadent desserts. Combined with your personality and style, it's the reason I keep coming back!
Yes, we absolutely need chicken à l'Arc Duc! Please make this soon! I'm very interested to know.
I made this last night with provolone (I don't like swiss) and I added parmesan to the panko...my hubby and 2 sons went berserk! 5***** Best my husband has ever eaten.
I make new recipes all the time, but the response from this one was amazing...it's a joy to cook when you get a response like that. Thanks John!
brie cheese.
Yes, please do post that other chicken recipe that your Mum loved to make! You have no idea how many of your recipes I've been printing out and making....so far, lots of cookies and cheesecakes, but I'm going to be doing more cooking, as well....
Hello Sarah not only you have having doing same too

Always enjoy the little stories you throw in there. Gives everything you show us a truly personal vibe 😊
Yes please, all the chicken dishes you have would be fantastic thank you.
Thank you chef!!! We’re making this tonight for my birthday!!! I just graduated culinary school and you are always spot on! I love you and your channel ❤️❣️❣️❣️
I made this last night and it was delicious. The whole family agreed and finished every last bite. We loved the sauce. I substituted Swiss cheese with Gruyere due to lack of availability at the store. Thanks a lot!
You and your family have taste 😎
"actually the pounding is pretty fun too" :)
😂😂😂😂💀
I’ve done a few of your recipes and each one I’ve tried has been amazing! Wife agrees too!
I love how sweet you speak of your mother.
Your videos are always so informative, well produced and an all around good time to watch. They're like an espresso shot of good vibes. I greatly appreciate the effort you put in.
Chicken, ham, swiss cheese, and a sauce with dijon - absolutely delicious!
This is one of my favorite chicken dishes and my family goes nuts when I make it, mainly on holidays or special occasions. I usually mix panko crumbs with cornflake crumbs to give it a golden color and crispy texture. Always roll up a couple of extra ones to keep in the freezer for dinner for hubby and myself in the future. Never was successful at making a compatible sauce for it. Can’t wait to try your sauce recipe! Thanks John!
This is the best cordon Bleu recipe for me. Thanks to you. I'm gonna make this for sure. Thanks again for sharing this with us.
Thank you so much for sharin this recipe it was a hit with my family of Ten.. All the kids loved the sauce.. Been wantin chicken cordon bleu for a whiles now.. SmiLe!!
This is one of my daughters favorite meals. Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipes.
Looks tremendous! You’re always such a joyful delight and great teacher as well, thanks so much for who you are and your great work!
Thank you for making this so simple and easy to follow. Sometimes the chef gets carried away and I have to rewind while prepping the meal. I'm trying this tomorrow night and I'm so excited!! Your dish looks so perfect 🥰
for anybody with gluten sensitivities, there’s gluten free panko crumbs, and you can use rice flour instead of ap flour for the roux. it doesn’t give the same depth of flavor as ap flour, but it works decently for many roux and sauces.
Looks amazing, and seems easier than I thought with your instructions!
Looks absolutely fantastic! I will be making this for my family for sure!
I made this recipe for dinner this evening and it was absolutely scrumptious. I have also made some of your other recipes which were wonderful. Thank you for sharing your amazing recipes and your videos are so great!!
I’m making this for the second time- SO good! Thanks for the great recipe and detailed instructions!
This is one of my favorite dishes of many!! ❤ Been eating them since I was a child.
One of my favourite dishes. Can't wait to try this at home.
I do something similar with a chicken breast which I invented about 40 years ago and it’s about the only way my husband will eat chicken! Butterfly out a chicken breast then add a sausage ( you can brown it slightly if you like). You can spread some sage and onion stuffing over the inside of the chicken breast before adding the sausage.
Then fold over and wrap with a really nice bacon , smoked works well but you can use unsmoked just as well. Place into a casserole dish, you can sprinkle some grated cheese of choice over the top but my husband just prefers it plain and simple! Cook in the oven for 30 minutes gas mark 6 or 200 C which I think is about 400F. It’s so versatile you can serve it with a salad, or chips or mash potatoes and vegetables or with roast potatoes and vegetables as a Sunday roast.
Enjoy!
I am saving this one!! Thank you sooo much!🥰🥰🥰🥰
I made this tonight and followed your recipe step by step. It turned out incredible! Thanks for sharing!
I made this dish for dinner with the leftover ham. This was my first time making cordon blue and it came out beautifully! The taste was just as I expected following your guidance to ensure I get this right - breading 2 and the other 2 without because I am carb conscious. Your recipe is going into my file for reference for future dinners. Thank you so much Mr. Kanell!
Great method, great flavor! I didn't think I'd like that sauce, but I was shocked how well it went with the dish! Such a great recipe and no pesky deep fry!
I did yesterday, and my family loves it. Thanks for your tips. The sauce was the perfect combination
This dish was so delicious! Definitely one of my favorites!😊
I used this recipe, and the results were AMAZING!
I watched this video last night and made this tonight. It was absolutely delicious. I enjoy your videos more than any out there. John, you are the best! Keep doing what you are doing. 🍰 🍗 🥖
I made this for dinner tonight and everyone super enjoyed it! I appreciate you!
Just made this. It was very good and so much simpler than the old recipe I have.
Those look *amazing*! And I love that sauce! 😍😍😍
I made this and it was amazing! The cream sauce was so easy and soooooo GOOD.
Fantastic as always! I completely forgot about this dish and that took me down memory lane. It was served all the time in the canteen at school when I was a child 🥲
Classic John thank you so much bless to you nd your family
Just made this tastey meal. I live in the Caribbean and miss the variety of foods available in the U.S. So easy meals like this are a welcome change. The sauce was excellent!
In Germany it is basically just a stuffed schnitzel. But now seeing this I want to try the rolled version. Because I think the way you make it (especially baking instead of frying in the pan) will be sooo much easier to make for more people.
Update:
I made them and my fiance and me loved them. Super delicious and also easily reheated in an air fryer in case you have left overs.
These can be either baked or fried, but you wouldn’t pan fry them, you would deep fry them.
Another great and easy recipe - love this channel - will definitely try this one - thanks
Ótima dica pra temperar, adorei!
I love chicken cordon blue!!! I love chicken any way!!! I would love to see more chicken recipes!!! God Bless!!!
I find chicken breast boring to eat, but stuffing them makes them so much tastier! I made this with my cousin once and it was so fun. I’m going to try it again after seeing your video ☺️
How delicious! And you make it so easy!
I'm making this tonight❣️❣️❣️ I'm so excited Thank you Thank you Thank you❣️❣️❣️
Thank you so much, I watched this video. Bammm!! 2 chicken breast, frozen, I cut in half while they were still slightly frozen, I actually got 3 cuts from one. I didn't butterfly, but got then flattened enough for the ingredients. Followed the steps, using Italian bread crumbs, because that is what I had. My goodness. Thank you again!!❤ Awesome and easy to make. So very yummy.
My all-time favourite chicken dinner! I serve it with green beans and pilaf. Everyone loves it! I like the butter in the panko trick. I will definitely do that next time. Thanks, John!
Hi there, do you melt the butter and add it to the panko?
Awesome! Even our finnickiest eater loved this dish. Officially on our regular meal rotation list.
Thank you for this recipe, I love chicken cordon blue.
I've made this by following a printed recipe, and they turned out well, but watching and learning from your video will make it so much easier the next time. Thank you for posting . I like recipes like this which can be adjusted for two people.
Que frango maravilhoso, amei a receita
This looks amazing can’t wait to try !
Hey, John! I love chicken books. My favorite title: The Egg and I. 😉
I loved that book.
You just made my Cordon Bleu so much easier! THANK YOU! Hint: I always add parm in my bread crumbs/panko! But John, I think I'll stick to our fave Bechamel (sp?). We don't like mustard in our fam. Any suggestions? Lots of love from Idaho!!❤
When I made it...I skipped the mustard and added more butter _because I added too much parm!_ LOL Yummy The whole meal was amazing and my 3 guys (hubby, 2 sons) flipped for it! BTW...took your advise and used the parm in the panko. Great Suggestion! Thank you!
I love your videos because you make all this totally doable. I just have to try this one.
Thank you so much for the recipe!!!!!
Thank you for this recipe. I made the best dinner for my family and it was very well accepted. Everyone loved it. I surely will make it again ❤
Yum can't wait to try, thanks for sharing!😊
Someone may have mentioned this but I would appreciate your showing us the deep fried tacos. I know the tortilla is fried but the only completely fried I’ve ever seen is from Jack-in-the-Box. You have such excellent taste I know yours would be incomparable. Thanks for all your excellent instruction.
Great new Recipe! This Recipe will be used this Dinner Today!🎉
Thank you for the recipe❤️😋🇩🇪
This looks so perfect!
This turned out amazing. Going try some more of your recipes.
Hi John, I used to have a recipe for this same dish. That was a long time ago and I never really saw another recipe that inspired me. Its back on dinner wish list now. Your version will be
a hit. Thanks so much!
This looks Amazing!!! 😃😍
Thank you!!!
Mmm this looks so delicious 😋 I know what I'm making this weekend 🌟
Just printed out the recipe, can't wait to make. I also made your "dinner roll" recipe this weekend. They came out perfect, they were so perfect I didn't want anyone to eat😊
I’ve always loved Cordon Bleu as a child, I would always get the frozen ones from Walmart. Now, I can make it homemade. Thanks to you! ❤
Great recipe! I make this from time to time and I prefer this version instead of deep frying. Actually pretty simple and not too much effort. It did take a lot longer to cook thought.
John,Just made this it was absolutely delicious 😋 !Normally buy frozen chicken cordon blue from Costco ......definitely no comparison! Thanks again for being a excellent teacher!
Thank you! Ours came out great!
Thank you for this recipe. I will be making this. Please do your mom’s recipe too
Great video John😊😊
Well...I made this tonight. The sauce is amazing. The chicken with ham and cheese amazing too. The panko crispy and golden brown but when you said you can add more than salt and pepper I used some Lawry's and garlic salt as well as salt and it turned out way way to salty. I'm going to go salt free next but this is a fantastic recipe and very well done video. Thank you.
Great video! I'm making this Sunday for dinner!
I was *just* telling my boyfriend about this dish last night and we talked about making it. Thanks so much for this lucky timing!!
I eat this at least once a week but I definitely need to try this homemade recipe 🔥
Haven't made this ffish in so long my grandsons love them. Now I have to make them on the 21 of this month.
Let me tell ya i followed your recipe and it was amazing the creamy Parmesan sauce was a show stopper! Thank you John . Ive veen so bired with my food lately, and that was just the perk I was looking for.
Yum delicious recipe John must try this thankyou 💕😊
Wow. Maybe I Could make this! Thank you friend
Definitely cooking this tomorrow 😊
"A chicken book" -- I love it!
My mom made her tacos the same way (sans picks)!
It was nice to fill them and not worry about the filling falling out.
She had the “usual” fillings ….and chili beans and Le Seur peas.
My goodness those were delicious!
This looks so yummy, surely gonna try it out 😊😁
I rarely like cooking channels, but yours is awesome. Chicken cordon bleu is a favorite of mine, and I really want to make this recipe.
Best chicken I ever had. I did it with a grated cheddar cheese, didn’t have a hummer and flour…didn’t make a sauce… used just a sandwich one… and it’s still turned out great, next time I’m going to make it exactly like it recipe…think it will be amazing) thank you
I love your videos ! I am Swiss and grew up in the Basel land area of Switzerland and we had Cordon bleu almost every week ..it's also the most popular dish in Restaurants . But we make it with pork , and never swiss cheese ( Emmentaler in Swtzerland ) better with Greyere , we also sometimes add a little mustard on the ham . And the the 'schnitzels' get folded in half , and the breaded and fried in a pan . Then we eat it with a slice of lemon squeezed on top ( I have never seen it served with sauce ) and french fries ....hahaha I feel like an expert as I have eaten so many and also served them daily in the restaurant I worked at . Anyway just my input ...this recipe does look great but I would use a different cheese and no sauce ;)
Really yummy delicious, mouth watering recipe. 🙂😊😋.
I tried this recipe for my Bunco group last Monday. Oh my goodness, it was fantastic! The girls went crazy over it.
Mmmmmmm! That looks so good. I bet I could use pork rinds instead of panko and make this keto. Thanks for sharing. I want to try this recipe!!
I can always use a good chicken recipe. Please show us the other chicken recipe.
Very nice indeed. I have worked in kitchens most of my life. That's a good recipe, nicely presented and definitely looks tasty.
