Wait, so you ended with 76 excess starpoints anyways and had a handful of fright maskable enemies you did not scare off in the shadow palace... doesn't that mean the excess exp you would have gotten from the fuzzy hoard would have still left you at the same final level, and if it didn't you could have avoided a few extra fights via fright mask towards the end?
I may have forgotten to mention in the video, but can only fright mask Dull Bones in the Palace of Shadow. Red Bones, Dark Bones, and Dry Bones are all immune.
Really wish you did other content there is only so much I can watch before it gets repetitive if you talking about the same game over and over again. That’s my only problem with this channel.

I'm just giving the majority of my viewers what they want. Otherwise, live streams are where I tend to branch out the most.
The Gold Fuzzy summons its horde once their HP is 7 or less, even if during Mario's turn. A fire flower does only 3 damage so it's not only insufficient, but invalid in every situation for the challenge in this video.
Bro I feel you on that grind. I’m currently attempting a no block or action command challenge, in which I want hammer throw early with hammerman to make life simple. Unfortunately hammer bros don’t like dropping that badge so I’ve been grinding it for a while.
That's peculiar. Hammer Bros can't even be encountered at their earliest where they can drop Hammer Throw until Chapter 5. But I'd think you can just sequence break from Chapter 2 to Chapter 6 so you can just access the Gold Card and buy the badge from the Pianta Parlor?
I did sequence break to chapter 6 from 2, however the gold card in unobtainable without yoshi to cross the gap. That leaves the hammer bros unfortunately.
@jacksonballard4930 You don't need Yoshi tho so long as the lock on Garf's house hasn't been opened yet. Jumping on it allows you to skip needing Yoshi entirely.

But now I can finally finish chapter 2 and use hammerman the rest of my run. I have 3 mega rushes and a close call to show for my grind. The former i wont be using as danger strats would trivialize things. I can now continue on with my stream though, thank you again!

A third copy being required ironically would have made it suboptimal to grind because then I'd need to level up just to use the then required 8 FP.
