Colin Hanks performance when he starts performing "A Christmas Carol" is probably one of the best scenes in Drunk History for sure, it was so well acted
Same. I'm watching 12 hours later n it's still low ASF but all the gossip and "tea" got millions smh....I mean I'm one of them 😂 but least igot my dose of knowledge! (Daily)
My Lord, I can't imagine what Christmas would be like without Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Beside the Scripture, it gives the essence of not only what the Christmas spirit can be, but for many what the God of their faith would want them to do. Yes, it is a Christian holiday, but much of it also seems universal. And no doubt other cultures and faiths have similar experiences.
This was probably the best drunk history I've ever seen!! This gentlean used very lil profanity and he was still Soo funny!! Luv it!! Best comedian on drunk history in my opinion! I am a serious fan of his now!!
So, A Christmas Carol was released 175 years ago today, December 19th. This video was also released on UA-cam 363 days after it was first recorded. It makes sense. This is the time of year to release this clip and they didn't want to have it available for free while it's still on the air.
I knew we were gonna be on a ride when Phil took that first shot, made a face like someone shadoodled their pants, and let out a breathy, anticipatory "oh yeahhh"
I ❤️ Christmas time...I hate my mum passed away sooo now I spend my Christmas with my cats...but I really 💕 Christmas time!!!! The countdown to the end of the year!!!
Hilarity aside, it is so eerie how much Colin looks like his dad. I mean not just a “you can kind of see that they look-alike” but if I didn’t know that that was Colin I would’ve thought that was a very young Tom
I feel so bad for those publishers. They’re like those people who thought google was never going to be a thing and then immediately realized their mistake
"Father, I'm crippled!"
- "No Shit! What else is new?"
5:17
im in tears
3:50
"Chuck Dickens, Charles if you will"
"i will".
lool.
Good ol' Chuck Dicky.
Colin Hanks performance when he starts performing "A Christmas Carol" is probably one of the best scenes in Drunk History for sure, it was so well acted
4:58 I just love how the actor's glasses fell off and he just went with it lmao
I think it was on purpose.
Still pretty amazing that the glasses dropped on cue.
LOL sooooo funny I watched it 20 times XD and he smacks the book lol
Yeah he nailed that scene
Guy's a pro.
Colin Hanks is such an underrated actor. Everything he has done is great from this to the season of Dexter he was on... perfect.
Justin Pipes don't forget the one he was in mad men
And Fargo
Bánd of brothers as well
I loved him on Dexter, people really don't like the way they did the twist, but I still do.
He will always be Alex from Roswell to me.
“Father I’m crippled. No shit, what else is new” 😂
😂 that part
... And Tiny Tim came bouncing down the lane and said: "Father, I'm crippled!"
Alden Legge and Bob Crachit said, “No shit. What else is new?”
@@lysanderthemagician6413 "God bless us, every one" can suck it. These are the *truly* timeless lines from the book.
No shit! lol
That was hilarious!!!

The Christmas spirit of whatever the f#$% happened before. This is now cannon.
I think this may be my favorite storyteller I've seen in a Drunk History, and that's saying something
IKR!
Phil's decades of monologue radio work makes him perfect for this show.
Hendrie’s a goddamn radio genius.
Mine toooooo
Phil Hendrie man, hes been doing this for a loooooong long time. i was so pleasantly surprised to see him on the show, its awesome.
He was very good. If there was a spin-off of this show, called Drunken Professor, he'd be perfect. Teach whatever subject lol
“And Tiny Tim came bouncing down the lane! And he said “Farher, I’m crippled.” And Bob Cratchet said “No sh*t! What else is new?”” -Charles Dickens
”Give it a little WHOO-WHOO”
-Charles Dickens, 2K18
I died when he snapped his fingers and slapped the book 😂🤣
he sounds like Bryan Cranston
Omg he does lmao
Uncanny
Totally!!!
And looks like him if he went to Vietnam
Damn good ear, he sure does
“Chuck Dickens… Charles if you will…”
“I will!”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Im kind of getting my mind blown at the lack of views and comments on this video
it just got uploaded like 2 hours ago

Still low.
Maybe watch videos for the actual video and not the comments?
150k is nothing to sneeze at

This is probably the most finely-crafted Drunk History I’ve seen. It’s amazing!!!
Tinny Tim: Father, I'm crippled!
Father: No, shit! What else is new?
🤣 I'm dead
Phil is the best drunk Historian on this show: Change my Mind

I especially love the whole scene starting @ 4:48 min - Simply hilarious!
Next to Nathan for You, Drunk History is one of the funniest, most underrated shows, on Comedy Central...shit, TV period.
100% and on a slightly more serious note, acts as a great springboard to learn more about lesser known people and stories.
BroImpeccable Right on !
Here's to giving and charity and kindness and redemption and all that good stuff! *everybody drinks. I'm drinking* YEAH!!
When Colin slaps that book, I could not stop laughing!! 😂😂😂 I had to rewind a few times!!
Love this dude cuz he's just sitting there drinking straight vodka lol
Such wisdom!
Why he gotta slap the book like that though at 4:58 😂😂😂😂😂
This may be Colin Hanks' finest performance!
I was wondering is colin hanks related to tom hanks.
Tiny Tim: Im crippled
No shit.
I laughed so hard.
“Father, I’m crippled!”
“Well no SH*T! What else is new?”
Oh my gosh I died
Colin Hanks is so good in these.
I used to listen to Phil on the radio all the time. He just gave a toast to literally everything lol
That was actually amazing.
dude this might be my favourite drunk history. it actually made me laugh out loud.
Am I the only one who loves when he says brother? It's very warm and honest.
5:17 “Father, I’m crippled!” and bob cratchet said “No shit! What else is new?!” XD
Already I can tell this is the best drunk history ever because this man can hold his liquor.
“ Fatha I’m crippled”
“No shit what else is new”
Love Drunk History! I was wondering how I missed this one, then I realized it was posted the day I went into labor.
Dickens really was a genius. He's my favorite author, his characters feel so real.
The book slap and “ no shit” 😂😂😂😂
“By the way christmas carol was released on december the 19th 1843 thats 174 years to the day tonight”
*published on Dec 17th, 2018*
Charles Dickens does a Ted Talk.
I can't get over Colin Hanks & Busy Phillips' Drunk History actings! 😂
🤣🤣🤣I can't!! I'm completely addicted to Drunk history!
Immediately one of my all time favorites lol Right up there with Frankenstein
HOW have I never seen this?? Phil was wonderful! The words are clear but clearly drunk.
The athenium or whatever sounds a lot like Ted talks to me

That retelling of A Christmas Carol was the greatest I’ve ever seen.
Good grief. I think I love Colin Hanks almost as much as I love his dad (and I love his dad A LOT).
Do you mean his brother, Tom?
CAPDude44 No, I meant his DAD, Tom.
Is this guy tom hanks son.
His voice is like warm liquid gold.
This was probably the best drunk history I've ever seen!! This gentlean used very lil profanity and he was still Soo funny!! Luv it!! Best comedian on drunk history in my opinion! I am a serious fan of his now!!
“Principle Vagina. No relation”
This is probably my favourite tv line and every time I hear Phil Hendrie, I remember and laugh again.
*slaps book* here we go
The book slap killed me. Suck a perfect lip reading/re-enactment
I was ready to hear the whole story when he slapped that book! That's engaging!
So, A Christmas Carol was released 175 years ago today, December 19th.

“Father! I’m crippled!”
"No shit! What else is new?"
I love the part when he goes"huh?oh!" his mind goes somewhere before he continues the story
I knew we were gonna be on a ride when Phil took that first shot, made a face like someone shadoodled their pants, and let out a breathy, anticipatory "oh yeahhh"
Colin Hanks again! His Mister Rogers in Drunk History was epic!
I knew this!! I’m so glad you all talked about this!
Bryan Cranston looks aweful!
His voice is still god damn mesmerizing.
Lol that's not him
If you don't know who Phil hendrie is you are an idiot.
"You're goddamn right!"
This guy is actually entertaining. I'd watch a show of just him drunk telling stories
Cheers to Darles Chickens🍻
That face he makes when he goes huh lmao that's my Gramps right there telling a story haha miss u Gramps
Love Phil H! Used to listen to him on his radio show. Amazing voice work!
D’aww what a nice toast at the beginning of the video. That was so sincere :)
"Suddenly, the ghost of Christmas Present becomes the ghost of Christmas Past"
Woah, where'd the time machine come from?
I love love Phil. I miss his show soooo much. Genius.
I ❤️ Christmas time...I hate my mum passed away sooo now I spend my Christmas with my cats...but I really 💕 Christmas time!!!! The countdown to the end of the year!!!

Holy shit. The part where he is "reading" the book was absolutely fucking hilarious
I feel so bad for those publishers. They’re like those people who thought google was never going to be a thing and then immediately realized their mistake
Now Phil is a seasoned drinker. He isn't falling all over and starting his video with uncontrollable laughter
I miss Phil Hendrie's show. I guess he's still doing it... but when it was on the radio that shit was amazing.
I love Mr. Hanks.
I know these entities are on opposite ends, but I think it would be HILARIOUS to have Joey Diaz narrate one of these
History is awesome, drunk history is best.
I feel like getting an old school radio DJ for a drunk history is cheating. Like, how can you tell?
I want this guy to do a drunk summary retelling of A Christmas Carol itself. Seriously!
colin is so good at this! this one is so much better than others
That was the funniest one I've seen in years
Cheers To Charles Dickes May the Sacred Goddess and God Bless His Soul Forever.
Love seeing Colin Hanks.
This show is the definition of great comedic timing.
This was well-directed.
I’m almost done reading a Christmas Carol and this shows up in my recommended
I'm in the middle. Played flute in the musical earlier this month.

This is so funny jesus im crying laughing
I literally just watched the movie about this last night 😂
In honor of Charlie D. I think I shall watch one of the versions of A Christmas Carol tonight. And start on Stave 1. :D
Stoned History next?:)
People might be blown away by how insightful it would be.
...or how long it might take.
They'd need a series just for one life event.
Why stop there, why not meth history so we can hear the story at 90mph through clenched teeth
Rebel 248 cause meth is bad.
HIs voice is so much like Bryan Cranston's. I love to listen to him talk. And he is hilarious!
through out my whole schooling ive never heard the story of dickens
Lol what a good storyteller. I like that dude.
Oh shit, Phil Hendrie!!!! He's a funny self comedic radio personality.
Dude, Dickens suit it sweet@the beginning there.
Phil Hendri, the original troll. His radio show is hysterical.
Please have him back for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas!!
