Drunk History definitely figured out the formula to blend the perfect amount of history and entertainment. A single episode/story isn't enough to tell the full story or event in detail with all the accurate facts but it's enough to generate interest and make people aware of certain historical moments that weren't always taught in history class. Sidenote: I always loved it when they incorporate the side convos or random noises the drunk storyteller makes into the "historical" segments. Like during the Hamilton episode we had aaron bur having to randomly pull out a phone to put in on vibrate or when Ladybird Johnson randomly started saying she wanted pizza. Idk, those little moments were hilarious
My favorite parts were always when the narrators would break and just say something random or off the cuff, and the actors would lip sync those parts too. Like if they belched or realized they said something wrong.
The Mary Shelley episode was hilarious!!! Evan Rachel Wood had me in stitches! "what?!....whaaat?!.....WHHHHHAT?!...WHAAAAAAT?!....WHHaaaaAAAaaaT?!" 😂😂😂😂😂
I think it might’ve been the very first one Benjamin Franklin flying his kite with Jack Black playing Benjamin Franklin. I knew this was something special when I saw Jack Black even mimic the narrator’s sniffle.
What a quality video here guys, heres the summary rule 1: dont drink at work rule 2: make sure the title of the show makes sense rule 3: do your job as an actor rule 4: do what the title of the show says and make sure its entertaining for tv rule 5: do your job as an actor like...cmon guys.
you could tell the comedy central version narrators were all acting. I couldn’t watch it. The UA-cam version they actually got drunk and it always ended bad 😂
Fan of the show since it started on YT, back when he had actual history professors getting hammered and telling tales. Teachers. Falling into shrubbery, blowing chunks, peeing themselves. Just one of the best shows ever on television. The Harriet Tubman, and the one where Busy Phillips told what Nazis stole the art, the one where Lincoln was disguised to take a train to DC. Too many to count that just had us on the floor. Waters is brilliant, like most people from Maryland are.
I loved these - so funny and I learned a lot of actual historical facts!! Wished they would have done a Lizzie Borden episode. That would have been awesome!!
Years ago I did a USC student film of an alcoholic clown in a circus. I only had another person vying for the role, but he was cast in a different role. He later told me I was the better choice as he was playing it drunk; I was playing it as an alcoholic, drunk but fighting to look sober...
Drinking with the right people some incredibly intelligent conversations take place. Other people are idiots sober or drunk. Rather than any personal anecdotes, I’ll point out that the founding fathers were most certainly drinking while planning events such as the Boston tea party leading up to the American Revolution. Their meetings not only took place in bars but water was unsafe to drink. Even children drank weak beer and cider regularly
They had RILES??? I guess the producers /directors hadn't seen Martin Sheen at the very beginning of APOCALYPSE NOW OR Dennis Hopper in Rumble Fish getting drunk at the bar Both were intoxicated for real and in the scene. It's called METHOD ACTING
I've always wanted to see a Take on this, but with cannabis . Could have called it HighStory further stoners / history nerds out there past and present.
Idk if it's just me but the first 25 seconds of this video just ruined the show for me. Reality TV is already fake. Contest shows are already decided why couldn't we just have actors having a few drinks? I don't get it. It's still funny as hell "if she knuck she buck" i say that almost everyday of my life 😂
I couldn't stand that show. I wanted to like it, but it was so over the top and fake feeling... Now I know why! I am not super surprised, but I am a little disappointed in them.
What were some of your favorite episodes of "Drunk History?"
Anything with Rich Fulcher is a classic!
All of them! Surprised Lisa Bonet as Pleasant was hella funny!
Mary shelley
Julia child
Cleopatra …and Al Capone
BRING BACK DRUNK HISTORY!!! Such a creative and fun way to remember history!
Yeah we need it now more than ever
Hear, hear!
I ❤ Drunk History. I wish it wasn't cancelled.

Yes!!
Abe Lincoln episode is top tier! "This guy's like an ape. He's got ape arms. He's got, like, ape awkward arms."
My........ ballls.....
@@schplengie1lol!
I… I… I… I……… LINCOLN!
Absolutely
Honest ape
I ❤❤❤❤❤ drunk history! I miss it 😥
Loved the show! Love history and how it was all done!
The Mr. Roger’s episode. My absolute FAV!
"puking on drunk history is crying on Barbara Walters" Kyle Kinane
“Certain Drunk History actors were naturally funnier than others.” Cut to Tony Hale 👏🏻
amazing show. great summary of historical events and unique ways of telling stories. i never get tired of rewatching the episodes.
The Mary Shelley episode was hilarious!!! Evan Rachel Wood had me in stitches!
"what?!....whaaat?!.....WHHHHHAT?!...WHAAAAAAT?!....WHHaaaaAAAaaaT?!" 😂😂😂😂😂
This show gave me joy at a time when little was to be had in my personal life. I'm very grateful for that.
same
Tesla was the electric Jesus is one of my favourites.
High History...wait, what was I talking about? 😂
Loved the highlight of Crissles' episode; it was one of the best!
I had no idea there were so many rules behind the scenes of Drunk History!
Please bring back Drunk History!!
Pluto tv app is free. It's on all the time!
That show was hilarious yet informative.
Totally. The one where that quack doctor was injecting John F Kennedy with meth?! I had to look it up after the episode 😂😂
I loved it so much when the actors mouthed the drunken dialogues.
I like older Drunk History, when the episodes were on Funny or Die and super short
YES!!! I loved those! I wasn’t really into the slicker, more polished ones. The jankier, shorter ones were just plain funnier.
Probably the best history show of all time. I can't think of another that even comes close on entertainment value and historical accuracy.
I think it might’ve been the very first one Benjamin Franklin flying his kite with Jack Black playing Benjamin Franklin. I knew this was something special when I saw Jack Black even mimic the narrator’s sniffle.

Aubrey Plaza as Cleopatra was the most hilarious skit!
Great show. Very well done. 🙌🏻💕
The Frankenstein episode is my hands down favorite and ERW crushed it!
the sheer number of famous faces that worked on that show was incredible.
Love a video that starts and repeats what it is about to tell you 6 times before actually telling you
you could tell the comedy central version narrators were all acting.
I couldn’t watch it. The UA-cam version they actually got drunk and it always ended bad 😂
The original episodes before Comedy Central were the best because they got super drunk for real
Such a brilliant show!

My favorite show.
Drunk History on Trump would be something else….
I loved these - so funny and I learned a lot of actual historical facts!! Wished they would have done a Lizzie Borden episode. That would have been awesome!!
Mark Twain had me on the floor. Mary Dyer was a close second.
"drunk whisperer" lol I think I'm one, too...
One of my favorite shows ever.
You mean there WERE rules on Drunk History?!! 🤣🤣
Years ago I did a USC student film of an alcoholic clown in a circus. I only had another person vying for the role, but he was cast in a different role.
He later told me I was the better choice as he was playing it drunk; I was playing it as an alcoholic, drunk but fighting to look sober...
This show was so underrated
I loved this show
I'd love to read a publication of those next-day letters.
Pete Wentz in a Pete Wentz wig 😂😂😂
Cleopatra hands down-best!
That dudes liver has to be toast
We didn't deserve this show. It was too good
Surprised how much actual history on the show.

any time Kyle Kinane was on was the best.
The thumbnail that close on his face makes it look like he was accused of something
Can't wait for future generations to reboot this and tell the stories of this last election.
I need Shane Gillis on Drunk History
This video tried to suck the fun out of Drunk History
They had RILES???
I guess the producers /directors hadn't seen Martin Sheen at the very beginning of APOCALYPSE NOW
OR
Dennis Hopper in Rumble Fish getting drunk at the bar
Both were intoxicated for real and in the scene.
It's called METHOD ACTING
I've always wanted to see a Take on this, but with cannabis . Could have called it HighStory further stoners / history nerds out there past and present.
None of them seemed genuinely drunk. No alcohol on set is whack.
Did a drunk person write this video title?
Did you guys go AI voiceover? Not a fan...
SMC KOI NAHII HAIN....CRYSTAL CLEAR...
Down thumb and this comment
Completely checked out after you said one of the rules for drunk history was the ACTORS HAVING TO BE SOBER.
NO….SHIT!
So this is just AI generated and narrated reiteration of things written elsewhere. Man, the internet really sucks now
This show was so off the wall but such a good one
Idk if it's just me but the first 25 seconds of this video just ruined the show for me. Reality TV is already fake. #1. Duh
Also FIRST!
I expected to enjoy drunk history, but I always just found it annoying. 😢
I hated that show
This show ruined a really great idea.
I couldn't stand that show. I wanted to like it, but it was so over the top and fake feeling... Now I know why! I am not super surprised, but I am a little disappointed in them.
Thanks wont watch it😊
they're weren't really drinking..... duh
It was garbage.
glad its gone - only ever watched like a quarter of 1 video but it was so boring. Drunk people aren't funny, they are sad and pathetic.
Idiotic premise. Good riddance.
K-Hole history would be entertaining.
Lol
