would love more insights on s5iix!
Yes, definitely. The only camera woth buying as the price will drop
Who has a problem with battery draining when camera is off🙉 how to fix it? This is nightmare
Most cameras have trouble with mixed lighting, I find even that the Fx6 does pretty bad in this scenario
great video thanks mate :-)
👌🏼🙏🏼
i was tested the s5IIX with ssd and the battery life is so poor, maybe i have to need external power alimented with vmount but for this i used bmpcc best colors more cinematic. I also expected too much from this camera. PD: sorry for my english
S5II FOR $1697 OR S5IIX $2097 Im not sure if i will take advantage of some of the upgrades in the X, however i will be using the anamorphic feature in the x, not sure if this feature is in the non-x..
Thank you
If your computer can handle the H265 and you do not need the live streaming of the X, id go S5ii.
That prores 422 in the s5iix will save you time in editing even if it needs a lot of space cause for that yu can use ssd on the s5iix and ssd are no really expensive. And on the s5ii of you will want to record raw external you have to pay like 200 dollars so for a little more money you can get the s5iix
Can you post a link for the dummy battery you have
Just added it into description 🙌🏼
@@OBP_ thank you but how do you plug that up to the vmount what kind of adapter do you use to make it dtap
Of course there is Canon R6 mark II which does not crop in 50/60.
You are not aware of Canon R8 that can do full sensor readout at 60p? and it costs less than S52. Ofcourse, that is much simpler camera.
I am not, good to see tho. Hopefully that means the other manufacturers follow along.
You need to get your hands on the S5M2X
I have looked at buying one, what do you think it would bring over the S5II?
@@OBP_prores 422 internally and you can record all the Codecs into ssd wich makes the work more easy, and editing prores 422 I guess you already know from the ursa makes editing more easy and not giving headaches 😂
If I have a 10 - 18mm sigma lens in 4k 60fps, what would be its equivalent, double crop in the s5iix? What would it be in 4k 24fps without crop? THANKS
It would be a 15 - 27mm on 60FPS 4K. In 6K open gate I would suspect you'd see vignetting but have never tested this.
if conor mcgregor was a filmmaker :)
Cool🎉
Are ypu irish?
The s5ii is amazing, but it’s big. I don’t carry very often but it takes nice photos and videos. My little nephew even noticed the image quality. He said the pictures looked 3D and real lol
The S5ii is so small it’s mildly uncomfortable in my hand, my pinky doesn’t even fit on it 😂
@@kazlepek6552 you right, just thinking in comparison to my old XT2. 😅
THE FATAL FLAW that killed it for me was that the camera "forgets" the focus point in MF mode when switched off and on !
I have false color in my S5 ii
how?
O-o focus😂
bo-a of wo-a 😊
Yes...But id search the used market first.
so frustrating. ive watchec 20 camera reviews and your all talking jiberish. why are all these videos made for the camera experts? surely they will know about these cameras already if they can understand half of what your saying. people watching these videos for the most part arnt camera experts, rendering this video useless for 90% of the people who click on this video
Biggest problem is the eco system. Means there is no real upgrade, cinema line, etc. Otherwise Panasonic would be top G.
be really careful when buying this camera the autofocus is terrible the menu is slow, and slot card damages really easy.
The auto focus is amazing. You must have had it set up wrong
@@TheyCallMeCotton not when you are in a large crowd . if you film events for example. then better dont use human recognition. Sony has 10x better autofocus, but when they fix autofocus issue LUMIX will moon.
@@terrorfilms in a crowd 1 area plus + human detect equal money
@@TheyCallMeCotton ok will give it a second try . Thanks
Had to return the camera since the card slot was defected. But really liked the colors and the ibis
Hey man I would have some questions... I was about to buy a GH6 (don't own any mft nor full frame lenses) in order to shoot a documentary but then I saw an incredible offer for a used BMPCC6k. So I'm going for that, but I still want a Lumix as well. Does it make sense to go with the GH6 or the S5iix is a wiser investment? Because their price is basically one good lens apart... I don't even use autofocus and wanted the GH6 at first because of the CFslot (I really don't like shooting with SSD) but at this point I can shoot braw internally with the BlackMagick 6k and use sd v90 cards for the s5iix, there shouldn't be any more need for ProRes or expensive recorders... The full frame sensor could be helpful in good light. What do you think?
I like the idea of using Pocket 6K with the S5II, Complementary of each other, everything the pocket is bad at, the Lumix is good at 👌🏼. As unpopular as it may be the S5ii is a much better investment over the GH6 in today's market with the deals you can get on the S5ii.
The big question is do you need IBIS
strange that he didn t mentioned about moire the most shitty thing of this camera
