- Fishing in a thunderstorm on a quest to catch big catfish in the UK. Better get your beer sorted out! This week's episode is an hour long, one person, man alone battle against some tricky Catfish and a Thunderstorm. But our man is a True Brit and toughs it out right to the end when he suddenly hooks into a monster Catfish just as he packs his gear away...but Oh Dear he ends up having a meltdown. You need to watch the film to find out what happens. It's all an uphill struggle but he finds a period of culinary perfection when he tries to cook prawns inside his...yes, BEACH SHELTER! This man uses anything and everything, and certainly does not confirm to the usual "fashion" of having all the right gear...Enjoy! At least it will pass another hour of lockdown time. Sound is mostly in mono as he broke the microphone lead... sorry about that!

That shelter is the nuts. If it can take sea fishing then it can take a lake
Great vids but a lot of fisheries do not allow shelters unless they are green or brown

Little tip. Turn your alarms on, after you’ve put the bobbins on. And get a sling big enough to weigh a catfish, as they can move backwards.

Oh, Graham, you are a marvel. You gave me a real laugh. That knife? Be very careful some bloody do-gooder doesn't call the police and charge with possession of a dangerous weapon.
But every sea fisherman has a bait knife,often many times larger and a whole lot sharper....They would have to fine 500,000 sea anglers, probably more as you use a knife on boat and beach,but I get what you are saying,the world has plenty of cranks out there.
I was in New England last year near Boston in subzero temps.. Was by a huge lake a 30 minute drive from my car . A bin liner (that I wrapped by bait in) saved me from hypothermia when it rained unexpectedly. Good tip my good man!!

I had one of those sessions on the beach last year when a big shower suddenly rolled in. Me, all my gear, bait and dog cowering under the brolly for half an hour. As you said, the last thing you want at that moment is a screaming take!
