  • Graeme heads on a Solo Fishing adventure for 36 hours. Little did he know that it would be one of the best fishing sessions he has ever had! So much so that he got no sleep throughout the night with fish coming in one after the other. This feature length video has plenty of tips on rigs and tactics that Graeme used to catch so many double figure fish!

I've not got a tv, your longer videos are good for me, I've not got to keep searching for stuff. Im only five minutes in and paused to see the comments section, to see if anyone had identified the fish. Obviously not, looks like a bream a bit.

The fish was a crucian/common hybrid known as an F1, they are popular in match lakes as they keep feeding in winter and don't grow too large

I remember my early carp fishing days with a plastic sheet over the brolly (we couldn’t afford a tarp). Later we progressed to a proper canvas bivvy cover over the brolly. If you was really posh you had a groundsheet too.
The one thing I take away from this vide is this.
If dear old Blighty ever finds itself coming up short for a hurdler in the athletics, they could do worse than pick our Graeme. Never have I seen such finesse as he hopped back and forth over those rods. Excellent stuff.

I’ve been fishing since I was 7 and carp fishing from about 15 when floating crust was my favourite method. I’m 50 now and I still love my carping. I’ve had a few red letter sessions and I’ve struggled at times but that’s fishing and all part of the fun! Been watching your videos for a while now and I’ve been remembering how much I loved chubbing, perch and tench. I’ve had double figure tench on carp gear but it’s not the same and I don’t really count them because I’m fishing for carp. I’m actually thinking of getting back to how I started fishing if I can remember how lol. Anyway I just want to say thank you for relighting my fire 👍

The comments below are great,,! I used to know a guy, pike fanatic, he was a fully qualified heart surgeon, and yes, he had done successful transplants, but he realised the pressure and responsibility was overbearing and and affecting his whole life, (he actually told me , that the holding a person's life in his hands, was too much for him , the pressure and responsibility too much. So he quit, he gave up the medical life. He started an accountancy business, it did very well, so took in a junior partner, and after a while, basically let the staff run the business, and he did the necessary by phone, and dedicated himself to pike angling. A guy of slight build, very modest and tough as old boots,, he used to go all over the country fishing, day and night ,, With no more than a brolly for protection from the elements, for weeks on end. I met him many times when he fished in Norfolk and Suffolk on the broads,(as I was too).and available lakes. Wherever he was he used the ,lake or river water for everything,, he even made his drinks /tea coffee, etc washed up in it, and washed himself with it,as long as it was not too brackish (salty), and swore that as long as it has been heated , (not necessarily boiled) it was perfectly safe. Weil's disease, is not that easy to fall foul of! Yes, if you have a cut or open wound, don't wash it in the water. unless boiled...Personally I always carry a small bottle of disinfectant, and antiseptic with me, Iodine and Dettol. Been fishing for 60 years,, and never had a problem!! Happy days, and tight lines everyone.

Graeme, as a fly angler it always surprises me just how much tackle seems to be required. As a Scot I always wonder just how all this stuff costs.

It's a coarse angling thing, especially Carp. I enjoy my trout flyfishing because I can just wander around with barely any gear(except for the cameras).I would never buy Carp gear most of it I scrounge from Mike or pick stuff up from a car boot /charity shop.

The Americans use the words epic and awesome to the point of nausea. That session I just watched eclipsed my entire 50+ years fishing career! Epic? you bet. Awesome? TOTALLY. My heart felt congratulations to a true ambassador to the sport.

That first fish was a ''Karaš'' or ''Karash'' and yeah it's a crucian carp, we have a lot of them in Serbia, they can grow to 2 kg in some places. That is a silver crucian and the yellow one is called a gold crucian (Zlatni Karaš).

Thankyou guys for bringing us this super long video. Carp fishing in ponds and all that gear isn't something I can muster interest in but respect to those who enjoy it. There are carp in the Norfolk Broads somewhere maybe I'll track them down one day. Thankyou

Who needs the crap on the telly when we can have entertainment like this. Love watching your vids Graeme. Pmsl 🤣 when you had a mouthful of the beans and had to watch it again. You are indeed an entertainer as nearly 300 k subs confirms.

Like the longer videos Graeme. Only criticism i would say is i'd prefer not to have the spoilers at the start. Much prefer to wait and see if you catch or not. Still a great watch though , CHEERS.

really enjoy the longer vids. . especially as you were so busy! carp after carp. . I also like the little comedy elements aswel. . very funny. . thing with carp fishing it can be very gear heavy and labour intensive. I got the feeling from the vid that you were working hard with hardly any food and no sleep. . your a soldier! Keep up the good work look forward to more

I've got to say I've really enjoyed watching TA fishing/outdoors for a while now and although I do really enjoy the humour I like it when they sit down and talk to the camera makes you feel that you are somewhat with them as you potter around and do things. The only problem I have in this video is that every time that alarm goes off I instinctively at the source of the bleeping to see if it's a run or now even though I'm not fishing!

brilliant video, here's a tip for Graeme, put your belt through all the loops on your trousers or ask Mrs P, to do it for you. Ha Ha. Nice to see someone who isn't out there trying to sell every thing, great to see how passionate you are about fishing still .

Video idea find deep water that is close to land like a pier or dock. Set up over night with a underwater light and a chum bag and stay there as long as you can and see what comes along.

I’m a saltwater fisherman on the other side of the pond in California. While I do prefer the fast lure fishing, once in a while I like to settle in on the bank and fish like this. With a tent, a small grill, and a couple of rods baited out while no one in sight. 👌
