  • Overnight carp fishing and camping by the lake. Graeme decides to try a lake he has never fished before, and as usual it takes him a while to get sorted. It's a fishing session that will take him through the hours of darkness, but he worries if the light from the moon would put the fish off until it drops behind the trees and goes dark. He even sets an estimate of the time he might get a take, so how close is his prediction going to be? You need to watch the film to find out. It's a typical "tell it how it is" vlog from Graeme who investigates some strange sounding food that someone has sent him....will he use it for bait or eat it? You never really know what is going to happen on a Totally Awesome Fishing Show....Sit back and enjoy!

In Australia, if you catch a Carp.... you are not allowed to put them back in the water.... to me... its so odd...you catch a carp and say how beautiful it is... i catch a carp and have to by law kill it... they are a full on PEST here. If you could get ya carp fishing buddies over here you guys would no shit get sick of catching them out the Murrumbidgee River... hows this! A world record fish has been caught in Sydney's Centennial Park. Centennial Parklands guide Tony Steiner has reeled in a common carp measuring 89cm long and 19.7kg, officially the longest fish of a species in the all class category according to the International Game Fish Association.

Its a different place at night and a great place to fish with all the wildlife. You may be looking at the day tickets, rather than the membership. But I'm pretty sure there is only night fishing on the old lake, not Bonds or Milton. Ask for Dave Roberts he will explain the system.

    • @TAFishing

To me they are just another species..I often wonder why you have to use all the gear for Carp and not the other species ? ..Why don't we have to use a Gudgeon sling or a Roach unhooking mat ? Or a tube of stinking slime to rub back onto a Bream...? Strange world for sure.

There aren't any Tors in Dorset, a Tor is an exposed rock mass of jointed and broken stones found at the summit of an isolated hill, ridge or outcrop (height of the hill has nothing to do with it). They're made of the same stuff as the surrounding bedrock and are thought to be formed by freeze/thaw weathering (ie. water getting into the cracks, freezing in winter and then hydraulically splitting the rock as it expands). You'll find Tors all over Cornwall, Dartmoor, the Peak District, the Pennines and the Cairngorms but there are a few isolated ones in Shropshire and one by Glastonbury.

Anyway the one thing I have problems is ducks. There’s a team of eight at my local pond, when ever I pop down to try a couple chucks they see me coming and I know they know me 😂 so immediately start getting their party on!!! Any tips to to try avoid them, was planning to Chuck a loaf on the bank to keep them happy and distracted
but doubt it would last long.

big tip when ur surface fishing the dusk/night.. just feed in the marins.. i mean not more then a inch from the bank between the plants.. and put bait down ideally alll round the lake (just have a walk all around and put donw beait every 6 feet orso.. caught some 50+ pounders like that.. right under the rod tip.. u see them feeding and just sneak ur way over and put down ur hookbait.. sometimes u can fool em like that.

Graeme, thank you so much for these films. They have been a real lifeline to me over the past few months. I am so grateful.
    Tight lines, keep them coming.
(Any chance of some pike action)

I was hoping for a little footage on the tent/cot set-up. I'm always interested in how guys are keeping off the ground at night. That becomes more and more important as one gets older. Nice little pads for camping.

Would love for you to take a look at some of holland anglers society’s ponds . You will always get a good days fishing there and a yearly license is only 35 pound to fish a wide selection of ponds and rivers .

I rarely fish for Carp but do occasionally with an oozing pop-up on the surface, so how went the surface fishing on the Match Lake? A future Video perhaps?
