Thanks to guitarists, like you, I just bought a guitar and starting now to learn playing. Thanks, Corey, as always awesome. Hope someday to play like you.
Just a heads up, there is a steep initial learning curve when it comes to picking up an instrument. So you might feel an overwhelming urge to give up because you may convince yourself that "I'm not good enough". When in reality, your making progress (no matter how miniscule) but are too busy comparing yourself to others to notice Hell, that happened to me a year after beginning guitar, which caused me to quit for a year and a half. I eventually came back because a part of me realized that everyone who has ever picked up an instrument has had those same thoughts, so I shouldn't let them take control over me I've now been playing guitar for a combined total of 14 and a Half years, and have never been more grateful for the people I've had in my life who have encouraged me to keep going (parents, teachers, friends, etc...) Also fun fact: At some point, I was lucky/privileged enough to call Corey was my guitar teacher/instructor (he was awesome, and has inspired some of my technique, so if your reading this Corey, thank you for guiding me through the world of guitar from all the radio rock, to preping me for jazz school)
I was humming this for the last hour of work and the whole way home today. I got home and listened to the album version... I was just about to go on to another song and then this was UA-cam's suggestion. Thank you youtube! Only 6 hours old! You were reading my mind man lol. Never seen a one-man rendition of this. You are so freaking good it frustrates me LOL.
I've heard an acoustic version of this song, performed by Queens of The Stone Age themselves, & I honestly think you did it better! Awesome. Best acoustic guitarist on UA-cam!
Honestly nothing better than when u post a cover like this with the patreon tutorial already up! you are the MAN. Makes for such a great way to kill an evening or 4 getting stoned and learning your patreon tutorials. Challenging and creative arrangements!!
Just so great. This is the kind of stuff that made me want to learn how to play in the first place. Also, the reason I need to practice way more apparently.
I love everything about this. Funky staccato (wtf is this dexterity) paired with some increadible speeeed (those 16th notes sound so seamless) and amazing vocals. Is there a better way to start the day? I doubt it
Yes, these are the both the right observations and the right WTFs - 25 years of playing acoustic guitar I CAN play this..but I CAN’T play THISSSSS…what the actual fuck
YEAH!! The original was good but it takes a talented acoustic to highlight this song's great mix of strums etc. At one stage I'm feeling a bit reggae-meets-Django (with the Kyuss twist) and then comes "I realise your mind...". Ooh. Loved it - and hope the guys from QOTSA enjoy it too.
Excellent choice of song, love this but i say that about everything you do. Can't get my head around how you work out the chord progression, never cease to a amaze me 👍
Brilliant rendition of a brilliant song. Better than the QOTSA acoustic version I just watched before this which had two guitar players and a bass player. You are one talented man. 🙏
Are you kidding me 😂 this is ridiculous. I’m absolutely blown away with how incredible this cover is, in every single way. Well done mate
Did you watch his cover of cemetery gates? My gaaaawwwdddd
@@this_dood_right_here You ain't talkin to me but HELL YEAH , it is absolutely nuts
Ive always loved acoustic metal but this guy takes the piss
One of the illest acoustic covers I’ve ever heard
Thanks to guitarists, like you, I just bought a guitar and starting now to learn playing. Thanks, Corey, as always awesome. Hope someday to play like you.
glad to hear new peoeple learning guitar!!! good luck and thanks to corey again
It's hard at the beginning, but focus on the road, not the effects. It will be a fun journey :)

how the heck do you sing and play something like this at the same time so flawlessly
Practice
You have to be gifted vocally to sing that good. Guitar work is attainable
Dude....I mean Duuuuuuude!!!! That is by far the best cover i've heard!! Greetings from germany❤
This dude is anything but ordinary. Always picks the coolest tunes, makes them his own, and nails it every time.

Such a genius of acoustic guitar arrangement and playing he even captured the feel of those legendary Dave Grohl drum fills. Amazing!
This guy takes no prisoners, unbelievably talented.

This guy is underatted.. there are so many on youtube not even half this good with so many more subs..
This man is not from our planet. How is it possible to play and sing so perfectly ?
What about those facial expressions?
@@zatoichimasseur6767 LOL I think it is useful to sing like that 😉
The best acoustic cover of this and it’s not even close. Nice work, lad
Best cover of this song on UA-cam (and I’ve heard a lot!)
The best acoustic cover for this song on youtube. Dude, great job!
This once again shows that rock is just blues in disguise
Rock is three crows in a trench coat.
this sounds more like gypsy jazz tbh
Thís is actually polka lol
More like costume than disguise, easily recognised to those who are acquainted.
Dude!
From your voice and fretboard prowess I am lifted and my brother, I Have Now Seen The Light!!
