I’ve been a guitarist since 1968 and always loved this song but never even thought to attempt it. You have blown me away with this version. Inspirational! Than you.
I have watched this about 20 times................... I play guitar....I am 70 years old........ I can't duplicate what this man is doing....... he is awesome.
My dad took my mom to see the doors in LA when they were dating in the 60’s. My dad grew up in Venice. My dad pumps the doors records non stop and got me into them in the 80’s. This was great. Makes me think of them.
This is incredible. L.A. Woman is complex as fuck, and you didn’t miss a single beat. With just one acoustic guitar, you somehow managed to recreate the whole song. That’s insane talent-huge respect for pulling this off so flawlessly!
this, ladies and gentlemen, is the difference between being a very good guitarist and being an artist. brilliant in conception, breathtaking in execution
Dude. Good job. I am 42, my dad toured was Doors Fan and proudly raised his 3 children on the music, the poetry, they mystery, and everything else you CAN'T IMAGINE. I am fortunate he gave me his Doors collection before he passed away and I have been adding to it. We always roll our eyes when someone tries to recreate The Doors and others from that era... "IT'S NOT BROKEN! DON'T FIX IT!" BUT! YOU..... YOU CAN FREAKING ROCK IT DUDE. NICE JOB. JIM WOULD BE INPRESSED.
As many have stated below, you killed it. I’m a long time Doors fan, and a guitarist for over 40 years. I also have never heard or, even considered an acoustic cover of this song. Very imaginative and executed with extreme skill. Thank you.
This performance has set the UA-cam bar for a solo acoustic classic cover. Beyond any words of mine. You sir, are a artist of cosmic proportions. I listened to this cover five times in a row with the lights out and headphones on. You took my back to my youth, back to 1971.... back to the pure music of my generation. It sounded flawless. You made it look so simple. You gave this work life and energy. This combination happens 1 in a billion UA-cam videos. Do it again, please! Thanks Corey.
Feels like you understand the song. You’ve got mad skills on the guitar, ability to compose, and voice control, add your own interpretive flares, and with all that you carry forward the emotion. First time I’ve seen your work. You have another serious awestruck admirer.
Even more impressive is now it’s at 280k views and still no dislikes . If anyone clicks the dislike on this they don’t have a conscience or common sense
Hi there, @@LambertDriveStudios I hope you are well :-) . When I posted this - I think it was actually round the time I found out that 'dislikes' were no longer displayed to the viewing public on 'any' you tube uploads. Only Corey will see the dislikes. Which is a shame. wherever
I had the privilege to see Robbie Krieger with his band in St. Louis back in the day at a hole in the wall venue named :"The Galaxy." Great place to see shows; anywhere was "front row." Excellent cover man; I'm pretty damn sure Robbie would agree.
After hearing Sturgil cover this on his latest tour. I searched acoustic cover LA Woman and hear we are Mojo Risin and the whole doggone thing. Outstanding Corey
I love how you understood that you really had to give it some to do this song justice, and you sang in the perfect key for your voice! Best cover I've seen of this great track by a country mile! 👌
Just spectacular. This is my favorite Corey cover yet. Well done, man. I found myself having trouble believing that was only one instrument - you really filled up the room.
I never noticed this before seeing The Doors documentary but the words 'Mr Mojo Risin' are the letters of Jim Morison rearranged. for 50 years I missed that one. Insanely good cover sir. You are a unique talent and fluent on that fretboard. Thanks for the lesson.
@@tsfurlan What’s a coincidence? “Mr Mojo Risin” are indeed the letters of “Jim Morrison” rearranged. The concept of coincidence is not really applicable here.
I'm about to read Kriegers' autobiography and I stumbled upon this EXCELLENT rendition of a Doors' classic: kudos, respect, awesome & inspiring cover from you! THANKS!
Just wanna say, wow! All your hard work on doing this song effectively has paid off. You should release this version as a single. Beautiful and you care! I would buy it hands down.
Brilliant in every respect. Wish my fingers could dance on the fret board that effortlessly and so precisely. Vocals were woven in perfectly, great pitch and tone.
Great cover, Brother! It never dawned on me to do this one unplugged...and THAT'S what I DO! Well, I immediately grabbed my guitar to jam with you...and NOW I do...lol. Thank you!
My mind is blown! That was incredible.there’s not enough four letter words in the English language to describe the the intensity the emotion and mastery put forth in this exemplary execution of musical composition!
Dang bro…not only is it a flawless execution on top of a fantastic cover but you have managed to nail down every section of the song with ease. I honestly did not think this was possible. This was incredible!!
Wow! That was spectacular! Also…I cannot help but notice the Martin hanging on the wall. Looks exactly like a 1954 00-14 I repaired a few years ago. All mahogany….wonderful guitar it turned out be. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of your videos. Keep rockin brother
Awesome performance Corey great vocals and guitar riffs performance bro I absolutely enjoyed it man loved the classic rock facial style of it very awesome and to tell you the truth Val Kilmer also played the doors lead singer in the movie the doors very awesome performance loved it great song choice my friend ur awesome as usual love u Corey 😘
Very classy cover putting your own spin on such a gloriously constructed song while still maintaining the integrity of the original with subtle nodds to both Jim and Robby. Loved it
You have accomplished something I only dreamed of doing. Playing this song only using a single acoustic, yet somehow covering all the parts. So I guess I have no choice now but to cut off all my fingers with a meat cleaver. I hope your proud of yourself.
Sir. You can play. As an intermediate guitarist myself I really appreciate what you're doing. Technically, musically, performance wise. This is gold. Thanks for putting this out. I was jealous at first but that shifted in appreciation eventually
Bro, this rendition, and the harmonious chords and fingerpicking you were pulling off are masterfull great delivery with the voice too , top notch stuff 🎉

Hey good stuff this cover, love the new album. Just one tiny question, what type of d-chord are you playing during the intro?
the way you re-enter the song from 5:46 onwards back in to the lyrics, is absolutely fucking beautiful
naaaahhhhh, get the ffwk outta ere corey lad, that transition from 4:52 back in is abs obtuse lad, big love from north wales u.k , p.s fwk off x
yes my man! @@robsmith1288
😊
Didn’t think it was possible to do this justice on an acoustic (or without a full band). Very impressive.
Had the same thought. Was quickly shown the door. Very very nice.
Very simple song but years he does a great job
its crazy thats how it is for every difficult song he does
Or Gerry Scheff’s bass.
Dude’s crazy talented.
Jesus Christ dude, You have more control over those 6 strings than I have over my life. Absolutely wonderful
Oh man, this hits hard.
No kidding!!! Dam
🤣 this is the truth if I’ve ever heard it! Same here brother.
Sounds like a country song.
This cat is one of the best accompaniment strummers I've ever seen. Ever.
I’ve been a guitarist since 1968 and always loved this song but never even thought to attempt it. You have blown me away with this version. Inspirational! Than you.
This is fantastic.😎
Robby was so unique!! Probably the most unique rock guitarist in rock history... he's very hard to mimic .
Thinking the same thing 😎👍
cool beans!
I have watched this about 20 times................... I play guitar....I am 70 years old........ I can't duplicate what this man is doing....... he is awesome.
I can follow this dude on most songs, I’m 66. He does set a very high bar!
The fact that this man sang and played the guitar at the same time for 7 min without making a single is just overwhelming. He deserves a fucking like
A single what? Omission?
My dad took my mom to see the doors in LA when they were dating in the 60’s. My dad grew up in Venice. My dad pumps the doors records non stop and got me into them in the 80’s. This was great. Makes me think of them.
This is literally the greatest acoustic cover I’ve ever heard
lol
@@jellybowl7332 Heuvel is talented man
Seriously talented. You really nailed it.
love how corey gets all the instrumental bits and such out of just an acoustic, it's always tremendous but this one in particular is insane.
This is incredible. L.A. Woman is complex as fuck, and you didn’t miss a single beat. With just one acoustic guitar, you somehow managed to recreate the whole song. That’s insane talent-huge respect for pulling this off so flawlessly!
A lot of musicality packed into this singular yet grand performance
As a solo performance this arrangement is a thing of beauty!
This is a very hard song to cover on your own. I thought it would not be possible. Outstanding performance.
It's extremely simple, he does a great job sure
Kipp! Really? Must you? Let it go man.
@@kippsguitar6539 not extremely simple but is not the hardest song in the world for sure

One of the best acoustic covers I’ve ever heard. Not of this song but just ever ✌️
Like everyone else is saying this is an extremely hard song to bring justice to but you fuckin killed it man!
Hahaha! Nice! I like the lil Kipp rip! 😆
Absolutely brilliant!
LA Woman is one of the best “driving” songs and this performance is worthy of Jim’s memory. Bravo 👏👏👏
As usual, absolute world class! Any Doors song is my jam.
Absolutely amazing arrangement. You maxed it out without it feeling strained anywhere. Great.
Your rhythm through it all is incredible

Incroyable , Parfait , Magnifique . Merci
I have no doubt I will never hear an acoustic version of LA Woman that’s better than this. The acoustic work is jaw dropping good
I can’t even imagine how long it took you to compose this mind blowing cover. 🤯 Absolutely killed it!

Another incredible performance - everything from your voice, playing arrangement and production is outstanding dude.
Love the picutre of Saraswati in the background. May she bless your musical skills.
A good rendition of the song. I love the guitar and the vocals. I really liked this version. Obviously a door fan.
I wish you went a lil lower on the octave of your voice to match jimmy. But this is by far the best LA woman cover. Shoutouts, love it
wholly epic bro.... vibe ...sooo sweeet..the sleaze and fear of LA gone, but the positive energy of the times remain
My favorite Doors song and I can’t believe I actually think I like this performance more. Awesome job
