More often than not, when your amp is making a humming sound, it's caused by dirty power, a bad ground connection, or fluorescent lighting. My guess is the lighting in the amp.
Thank you for testing this Amplifier. I bought this Amplifier a month ago to push two 3.5 inch speakers @ 4ohms on each channel. Its good to see it will do over 300 watts @ 4 ohms bridged even though most Amplifiers bridged @ 4ohms run much warmer than needed but thats why a tornado fan is valuable to help keep an Amplifier cooler.
@@DIYAudioGuy you still should maybe I was off, if I had known we could have done it together .. lol. I just put it up this morning. It's def one of my better videos. Let me know what you think?
Thats funny in the sponsor. I built those JUNK BOX bins with a guy at Totten welding in Victoria bc. I did all the electrical and hydraulics and some of the frame and hook ups for the fuel supply. We did an immaculate job for these guys.
3 way I would assume meaning it can work tri-mode. You can run a set of speakers on the 2 channel plus bridge a sub. Used to be huge with the old Class A/B amplifiers.
As always a good video from you dude. most of us are diy:ers and i find your videos very helpful. so keep it up and i´ll see you on the next advenure 😉
Bought same amp on Amazon clearance for $33. Had same whine and traced it back to the high voltage driver for the electroluminescent logo. Disconnect logo light, problem solved.
Three way is you can run a some 6x9s stereo and a 10 inch and on bridge alpine dose it but they call for a capacitor to do three way alpine call It acoustic comp
Should have bridged it and ran 2 ohm then 1 ohm if it did not go into protect. I had a Jensen amp in the 90's I used it to push 2 kicker comps at 2 ohms. This amp seems much like that one. Based on the fuses I think you could squeeze around 500 watts.
Likely the whine was caused by a faulty chassis ground. It might even go away in the vehicle environment, or alternatively get worse. Also IF this amp were to have done 500 rms at 2 ohm mono then I can see it being well within the "1,000 w max" claims. Whether it would perform or not who knows I am willing to bet it might. The fuses suggest the same. Take ANY trusted brand that has 500 rms/1,000 max claims and it would do the same 300+ power at 4 ohms mono.
We have to stop excusing manufacturers putting crazy "max watts" on amps. It should say max watts (the actual max watts). This one can't qualify for 1000 watts max because there's not enough fusing. Even if we overvolt it to 15v and it's not a regulated power supply (best case to get to achieve "max" watts), that would be 60a of fusing * 15v for 900 watts. At 100% efficiency. Basically, in the absolute best case, we can't get over 900w mathematically. Max watts for amps mean nothing and they're not usable except to compare to other liar brands' outrageous claims. These amp dyno youtube channels are holding them accountable and we are seeing many manufacturers telling the truth now. Which is long overdue

That makes sense!

I like this video a lot. You tried some new editing styles and they work for you. Keep it up man!
I still need to catch your review of that down 4 sound box. I've been meaning to order one of those myself and review it, now I don't have to.

Appreciate the video! Always good to get a deep dive-

"3 Way" more than likely means tri-mode.
In the old days power was RMS or ILS, which we called If Lightning Strikes.
Maxxpower when lightning strikes.

I remember those days! There was nothing about it in the manual.
Honestly man i prefer D class amps the ones i have found are way more efficient and usually make more power than they are suppose to

I am just glad to be helpful.

Hahahahajajaja
Fail for the logo
Well how about that!
You should make a "MAXX POWER" Brand amps that makes rms power at low watts
They should make true rms ratings but have a max rating of 100x rms
Three way is you can run a some 6x9s stereo and a 10 inch and on bridge alpine dose it but they call for a capacitor to do three way alpine call It acoustic comp
There's a DuPont plant not far from me. Chemical that is.
cheezy amp makes for good wine

I mad a crazy discovery. Something called alien tape makes pretty good subwoofer gasket material.
MAX POWAAAAAAR
I'm a minute and 30 second in looks like an old-school brand that Walmart used to sell at called (VR3) about 400 watts
It's amazing how many resources go into how an amplifier looks but not into how it performs what a waste of resources

I'm going to be using winisd to map out a hidden box with external port to accommodate a CT sounds meso 6.5 sub. Got any advice?
Are you going with a bandpass design?
Im using this exact amp to push my 3 evl 12s 😳
How is it bridged to a 2 ohm load?
I did not try it.
Oh crap...wrong comment on wrong video. Danggggg....im slipping
🤣
Some of these companies should be sued for false advertising!😆😆
Yes
From paint to power amplifiers! 😬
Pretty much!
So basically at it's price vs performance, there's not too much to whine about!..
🤣
Us acoustics has the rubber pads
Cool!
Makes you wonder why these companies even make these amps if they know they’re selling junk.
Can’t believe you even bought it with that clear top showing you it clearly wouldn’t make any power 😂
That is exactly why I bought it.
