You can't pick out any one voice
There are thousands and people screaming on the top of their lungs, while each and everyone still has his or her unique voice.
So... They should sound really different right?
Well....
No.
Because we are not able to tell all of those voices apart, what we perceive is a huge cluster of frequencies and whenever there are enough people, the sound ends up being similar, because no matter of whose voices "the crowds voice" consists, as soon as there are enough people, all of those frequencies will be present, which explains why large crowds sound really similar to each other.

The end ones by far the coolest. Imagine finishing your song, and the crowd not only wants more, but sings your song so loud, the drummer picks his sticks back up and gives them a beat. Amazing.

I have seen this many many times, but then usually the band was any random band and the song people didn't stop singing was seven nation army, not related to that band at all.
That`s Blind Guardian. For me, as a biased german, the best live band on earth. The Bard`s song is legendary everywhere they play and I will take every opportunity I get to see them live. Hansi is one of the best power metal vocalists ever!
Blind Guardian's Valhalla is outstanding when the crowd refused to stop singing. I will never forget that moment

Fun Fact: when queen had played “love of my life” in Brazil, Freddie was so moved because in Brazil, English is not their first language so them singing back was incredible.

Whilst other artists have a crowd participation during 1 or 2 songs, he had the crowd roaring during the entire concerts.
Legend says that the crowd is still singing valhalla
And that is only the second best crowd interaction from that very concert.
The pitch-perfect delivery of the bards song beats this by far and away.

Blind Guardian is the highlight of this compilation in my opinion. Let those fans enjoy every second they can.
And the drummer coming in with the fans. No need to beat the hell out of the drums, no need to shine a light back upon the stage. Just enough to keep hundreds, if not thousands of people in harmony. That was a huge demonstration of why percussion is often referred to as the "pulse" of a band.
I'm certainly no stadium venue, sold out concert, best selling percussionist. Heck, I would be happy to be called a good cover. But I'm sure being able to play alone with his fans singing for a single minute made every single hour of practice and patience worth it.
Who needs an encore when the crowd will perform just as strong as the band.

For sure, everyones been to a concert where the lead gets the crowd to sing a part of their best known songs. But having a whole crowd try to sing a song back to the band in appreciation is extraordinary. Sometimes humans are pretty cool.

The crowd in Rush in Rio, during their Vapor Trails Tour was also outstanding. The crowd was so incredible they kept them in the mix on the album.

I once was at a STARSET concert and even though we were a very small audience, it was GREAT and the singer even went into the audience during the last song. We also all sang along and danced along and it was the best concert Ive ever been to.
The clip doesn't do the video justice. The fans sang Valhalla for at least 4 mins after the song was ended. They sang it longer than the length of the song \m/

I saw the electronic band, VNV Nation, and during the performance of Nova we were singing the chorus as loud as we can. It made Ronan Harris pause and he just soaked in the moment and commented it was a beautiful experience for him. Really moving moment!

I remember being five and seeing the five year anniversary of that and loving it, my older brother who worked in a record shop got me lots of Queen tapes and records. Queen were my first favourite band! I now see "Queen" with Adam Lambert and laugh at the idea of paying €80 to see it. No Freddie, no Queen.

I've seen Green Day twice and the Bohemian Rhapsody/Blitzkrieg Bop singalong before the show was one the most amazing moments of my life. Everyone in the venue felt like one single entity. It was fantastic.

No hate here, but i think we should definetly stop the acting like "our" music genre, whatever it is, is somehow superior to others. I mean have you seen Travis Scott concerts or Ed Sheeran, or even people like Justin Bieber or the incredibly synced up crowds at really good Techno shows?
To be clear i don't dislike this at all, i just think there are lots of genres and music styles which can move a crowd just as much and all of them electrify in their way.

One of the best I was apart of - several times: The Grateful Dead closing with Not Fade Away and the crowd continuing to sing “Love is real, not fade away” after band left the stage until they would come out to do encore. Some shows they let this go on for almost 5 minutes!

Actually, I'd say these security guys are some of the best. They're fine with a bit of fun.
How? Ivan told the crowd to surf towards him, there's only so much they can do when the entertainer physically shouts for them to attack the guards basically. Guards aren't supposed to let fans touch the entertainer in most venues.

I have seen my hands before it's pretty cool
Saw Peter Gabriel at the Spectrum in Philadelphia and his final encore was Biko. At the end of the song he said "the rest is up to you" and turned the microphone around. For more than ten minutes everyone continued to sing as both a tribute to Stephen Biko and a promise to continue the fight against inequality everywhere. I've been to more than 300 concerts in my life, but this is the crowd participation moment at the top of my list.
Noone ..i mean no one comes close to the magical presence Freddie had on stage.R.I.P Legend.
