Ironic how all these bands were called devil worshipers and people tried to have their music banned yet here they are stopping their entire show to call out sexual assault.
Thank you! Nailed it 🤘🏻
The people yelling about other people being devil worshipers are quite often the same ones doing the assaulting
@@dinoklein exactly. Just like the catholic church
@UWU I mean hell just the fact there were even 14 years old girls there to begin with is a red flag. Do they not check ID anymore at these things or what? When I went to raves & concerts they always made sure you were 18 at the gate. I understand fake IDs exist but come on. What are these parents doing out here.
Why exactly are they called Devil worshipers?
It can't be because of the music. This type of music didn't even exist when the testaments were created.
And most fans were not upset that the musicians stopped the music to make sure someone was ok, they actually cheered for it.
Of course, only a psychopath wouldn't
Well ofc most of his audience are immature kids who dont care anyone but themselves.
And for cheering at being good people the musicians prolong the show than scheduled. Times have changed so much.
@Kier A Sadly, I would have to agree
Travis fans are what by comparison then?
Kurt stopping a sexual assault and then laughing at the assaulter is one of my favourite clips in here. the way he quickly and effectively dealt with it then made fun of the assaulter was incredible and really shows how much of a good person he was.
Sorry, I'm not well informed on rock artists, which one one kurt?
@@chanceplace6057 If I'm not mistaken, it was the one with the guitar who was sitting down and who threw it when he got up. I think like it was another member of the band who laughed at the sexual harasser, but the quality of the video makes it hard to see

You don’t fuck with Freddie he is a god
Is there a video on youtube?
P-P-Pajamas?
It’s funny how people who listen to rock music are labeled as angry or aggressive people, but this video shows otherwise.
Yes. And people can feel angry & aggressive, perform and/or enjoy music that expresses a&a, and STILL care about their fellow human beings.
There have been studies that show that metal fans are more mentally balanced because that is how we get the aggression out.
It’s been proven in studies that some of the happiest people are the people who listen to rock and metal
And the more metal they are, the nicer they are. It’s kinda funny.

Crazy how a band literally called HATEBREED cares more about the audience than Travis
Hatebreed are handsdown one of the most positive and motivational bands i know. Their music is aggressive, and their name makes people think theyre racist or something

Facts!
It's because of increased search traffic, it's the programmers who had a knack for writing algorithms that push videos that are getting spikes in search numbers to front pages.
This was one of the lessons my older brother taught me about metal, It's that they have the safest concerts out of all music and when it isn't, the bands always care about their fans. As an adult who's been to many now, It's def true. Everyone looks out for each other
Even during a massive mosh people stop it to keep someone from getting trampled it's quite wholesome tbh
Exactly. In my experiences there was always one or two dudes that were trying to hurt somebody. Those people always got dealt with. For the most part it’s honestly good natured pushing and shoving until someone gets pissy then they calm down and shake hands.
@@adastial2104 especially when younger fans or kids enter. Usually adults will tone it down or at the very least watch out for them while in the pit

Travis Scott just didn't care, period. It's time for people to stop making excuses when there's footage of him inciting violence at many of his previous shows. People are out here worshipping these self absorbed "artists" when they only see ya'll as a check, not actual human beings.
Let’s also point out that he condoned the stampedes before the show even began.

Great mention North Star 🤜🤛
And yet he said he would refund all the money and pay for funerals and medical bills, even though it wasn't him who was jumping on people. He stopped a show 3 years ago cause a fan passed out and needed medical attention, if he did that for 1 fan than I find it very hard to believe he wouldn't have done it again if he had known the severity of the situation, but he couldn't see what was happening and with his earpiece in he can't hear what's going on either. What was he suppose to do sniff out the danger or use his spidey senses?
In 2015 I was at a heated Death Grips show with intense moshing. Some guy fell to the ground out of the corner of my eye, definitely getting trampled. It was so cluttered, I could no longer see him, but I knew he was still on the ground. I stuck my arm down there thinking maybe he'll find it and will grab on. After a few seconds, he found my hand and I yanked him up. He thanked me over and over and at the time I just thought that it was kind of whatever and was just the right thing to do. After what just happened, I think about what would have happened if I hadn't stuck my arm down there. Look out for each other.

I can't help but wonder -- why is it that it seems to be only rock and metal artists that feel this way? They're typically the ones most maligned by the public, yet the most willing to protect and help their fans.
@@nomore6167 because most metal/rock band are open minded. They have morality. You can tell by listening to their lyrics
@@nomore6167 the rock + metal communities are pretty full of people who wear their hearts on their sleeves, and misfits or oddballs who often find a kind of family in them; not to say there aren't disingenuous, greedy, or just overall bad people in there too, but with mainstream superstars, fame and money usually always come before good morals
Which is true of course. But many at the Travis show couldn’t even move a hand and if they didn’t move with the crowd they would be down too. I don’t think kicking was something this crowd was doing
Does that mean we have to stop talking about Travis? I mean he dropped pretty far down.

Hatebreed is the shit, a brotherhood man. Don't let the name fool you.
Hatebreed's lyrics are very positive and motivational!

Travis literally stopped the show and was told to keep going. Also hatebreed played for like 2k people easier to manage as opposed to 70+K.
These are all small shows compared to what happened at Astroworld.
Which is MUCH easier to manage.
All these bands are world class. They care and have so much love for their fans. That is how a concert should be handled.

Id recommend editing that couldnt into a wouldnt. Itd be more accurate.
There were only 2 people working at the astroworld festival and Travis wasn’t one of them. Also if you watch the videos most of the chaos was caused by the fans and the people drugging everyone else. Travis also checked more than once to make sure that everything was ok and the show didn’t even last the amount of time it was supposed to. Travis and drake also couldn’t see shit because of the fog from the stage, it was nighttime, the people getting injured, passing out, and dying were at the back of the concert, other fans didn’t give a shit, and the camera flashlights are hard to see through. He also helped one person because they passed out at the front of the stage so he could see them. Also the people working around the stage wouldn’t listen to the people begging to stop the show and Travis couldn’t hear them over the music and the other fans. Other Travis fans at the concert were disrespectful and were standing and sitting on the EMT carts to get better views of the show, and in one of the clips you can hear someone say stfu to the people chanting stop the show. When Travis asked everyone to put up a middle finger if they are ok, everyone except the small groups in the back with people dying were putting up the finger. The police may the show were also exposed to be not helping, but instead filming the show and trying to get videos of themselves with Travis by the stage. All in all, don’t blame Travis, blame the fans and the stage workers and police. RIP 8

*sings about death and destruction*
"Heys guys keep it nice and orderly ok?"
Makes perfect sense when you realize that the bulk of metalheads were the outsiders during their teen years and most of them care about treating people decently because they haven't always been treated that way themselves. Metal's an attractive genre for social outsiders because it gives frustration an outlet.
The thing is, when they sing about death and destruction, they are usually speaking out against it. It’s not like they’re promoting it.
most people can distinguish between art and reality
Songs are words, not actions.

Notice how most of these are in dark places, loud concerts and yet the ARTISTS STILL NOTICED!! No excuses for Travis Scott, this is how you handle things correctly!
People often call punk and heavy metal satanic or too harsh, but in the end the satanic ones are very open about their Satanism while in pop they hide it, and even if they didn't people just say it's only their asthetics. The fact that he still continue that long after that much death and injury is no accident
@@Linda.F the reason why music is a good tool in Satanism is because teenagers even like me has the mind set of just thinking "it's just a song it won't make me worship the devil just because of it" but I still remember about 3 or 4 years ago I used to listen to these types of music and it made me think that every problem I faced is like a big burden and that God is unfair to me I still remember that at one point I use to cut my wrist with blades and sometimes I just wanted to die, but slowly I think it was few weeks before Christmas I started listening to artist like Gregory Alan Isakov then I appreciate life and poetry more, this guy literally save my life and now my life is as perfect as it can be, not because I no longer have problems, but now I have the courage to face them and in the end like they said more than half of our problems are made by ourselves.
My point being the type of music we listen to really had impact on us teenager's life and our mindsets
@@josephk3720 Hope you’re staying strong, Joseph. You have a nice taste in music.

This proves that we can learn a lot from the rock community in general. Like, there are even rules of engagement in mosh pits at metal concerts. Generally speaking if a concert is overcrowded, people getting drunk, if one falls it's going be like a "blackhole" that will spread due to people tripping over others and so on.
I think as a live performer, there is a degree of responsibility for the audience. Especially if the audience is massive. They are there to see you. Their money is what pays for your art and lifestyle. It is partly your job to help keep the audience safe. It is a performers responsibility to stop the show and help the audience realize that they need to help the police and emergency people and even vehicles, but calling attention to how the audience can help. Travis Scott did not help the situation nor the emergency support. He was completely unprofessional in that situation. There are times the show must not go on.

I remember Michael Jackson where he stopped his music when one of his fans fainted from excitement and the ambulance came to get her as he waited then he resume once it was clear.
Was in a mosh pit for The Drop Kick Murphys in NB ON, EVERYONE around a person who fell stopped immediately to pick that person up (full 360), no matter how drunk, crazy, or into the moshing they were. It was like a universal unspoken rule.
There was some sort of "costum" there where in the mosh pit people were purposely body-chucking others (don't ask me, I just found the whole thing mildly frightening and didn't body-chuck others). Anyways, I fell (a.k.a. was unintentionally thrown) to the ground twice. Each time I was of course scared, but each time everyone around me immediately stopped to help pick me up and/or make sure people know that someone was down and to stay clear. I watched this happen all throughout the concert and also made sure to help others up. All in all, people wanted to be crazy! Have fun. But also wanted to make sure no one was hurt.
P.S. the body-chucking was consensual.
I have been to a many of rock/heavy metal shows and let me tell you: despite the rage in the music and lyrics, they care about the fans and those who come to the shows. I honestly feel pretty safe when I go to a show because I know when someone gets hurt or fucked up, they will be helped and called out.

I almost passed out once during a concert and I had to scream on the top of my lungs to get some goddamn room. When you're in front and people are pushing and the air is really thin, it's really kind of dangerous. Not to mention I also broke a rib during that same concert. It's intense, man. So, much much respect to the artists for trying to help these people out.

I got knocked down by a lead singer in the 90s, who jumped off stage into the pit. I was at the end of the pit just watching. The singer, band, audience and staff were all so helpful, while I was too stunned and embarrassed that I got knocked down.
Ghost had a fan suffer a heart attack during a concert in Milwaukee. They stopped the show and made arrangements to come back at a later date. The fan unfortunately died and the band had a special shirt made to honor him. All the shirt proceeds went to his family at that later concert.
I was at that concert, it happened during intermission and when ghost came back to Milwaukee to do the second set the crowd chanted the dudes name. Everyone was very understanding and made sure that the people needed got to where they needed to be.
Awwww that's so loving!!
:0 oh , how nice of them tho

That's amazing.
This really puts into context how much more could have been done to ensure fans were safe at Astroworld. What happened there was inexcusable.
Astroworld?
Absolutely agree. That tragedy should’ve never happened
Exactly. He has the power to do what he has to but he didn't. It's not the only time shit happened at his concerts, so his last one disgusted me :|
I honestly can't comprehend the people that say Travis Scott couldn't do anything to do something. Like here's an example that he could have done something, most of these concerts have more than 50,000 people like the Queen one and Freddie Mercury stopped the show because he realized something was wrong. What happened was complete negligence from Travis and his crew who hired so little security, and whoever designed that stupid arena for the concert which limited the space for the people to be at and caused all of this.
It's fu__ing deliberate. His Netflix documentary, Look Mom I Can Fly, shows people being hauled from crowds at his shows by security staff and paramedics. It also features a scene where Scott runs from the stage in Arkansas when he realizes police are at the venue. He was arrested and eventually pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for inciting a riot at the concert. Local police say he encouraged people to rush the stage. His "heart felt" statements in the aftermaths of the chaos and injury he causes are statements his defense lawyers craft, and then direct him to make. This time, the lawsuit is 750 million against him, Drake and I believe the venue or the promotion company. I hope the suit wins all 750 million and that his next job is hauling trash from construction sites.
Impeccable timing, these guys in the vid are legends

Guilty = Culpable (español)
👍
Note: "Culpable" does fit here lol, is correct. I thought the dude confused some words and i also thought it was a word exclusive of the spanish language, but turns out it also exists in the english vocabulary and it actually has french origins inside of the english language, so it isnt, and it fits correctly in this sentence. Fact you probably didnt needed to know but its still pretty interesting 👍.
@@josepedrogaleanogomez4870 culpable también es palabra en inglés y se escribe igual. 😬
@@josepedrogaleanogomez4870 "Culpable" is also an English word, and I promise you we got it from French. So many English words have "more sophisticated" duplicates with the same or nearly the same meaning, and they almost always came from French. Ex: to hate = to detest, to bother = to molest (or it used to-- nowadays it mostly means sexual assault through touch), friendly = amicable, etc.

@@IzzyKawaiichi Hmm, makes actual sense. But if it comes from the french, i dont think its used widespread through america. Maybe the brittish use it, as they already use lots of french words. But even if so, in this specific case, i think just saying "guilty" sounds better.

I made a comment here 2 months ago. I love music but don't listen to rap. I am neutral to it-but I respect it. I know it has come a long way since its birth. In my previous comment, I said something like "I bet a rap artist wouldnt stop to help a woman"- speaking on concert crowd situations..it was close to that affect. This incident was more than that. It's more dark. And I'm not talking about skin color- I'm saying these young people who continued to party, & the performer continued his show- do NOT CARE, ARE DESENSITIZED, HAVE NOT THE SAME INNER ENERGY THAT EMPATHIZE NOR SYMPATHIZE THE WAY NORMAL PEOPLE DO, OR,.THAT I PRAY MOST OF US STILL HAVE. WHY DO THEY CARE SO MUCH WHEN POLICE ARE KILLING PEOPLE, BUT NOT WHEN THE CROWD THEMSELVES ARE CARING ENOUGH TO STOP, HELP OR GET OUT OF THE WAY SO THAT SOMEONE CAN STAND UP, CATCH THEIR BREATH-MAKE SURE THEY'RE OK. MOST ROCK BANDS KNOW THE DANGERS & MOST DO STOP TIL THE ONES THEY SEE GETTING HURT ARE OK OR GET SECURITY & MEDICS IN THERE. THE SHOW DEFINITELY SHOULD'VE BEEN STOPPED & I IMAGINE THERE'LL BE NUMEROUS LAWSUITS ON THE PROMOTORS,VENUE,SECURITY,POSSIBLY THE ARTIST HIMSELF.
WHEN THE STATION ROCK CLUB BURNT TO THE GROUND IN 2003 IN R.I. BC JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE MANAGER LIT THE FIREWORKS THAT ONLY TOOK 1 MINUTE FOR THE BUILDING TO START BURNING PEOPLE- OF COURSE PANIC ENSUED & CAUSED A BOTTLENECK EFFECT AT THE EXIT MOST PEOPLE WENT TOWARDS. JACK RUSSELL STOPPED OF COURSE,LEFT & CAME BACK NEXT AM- HE LOST HIS BASS PLAYER BUT HE NEVER MADE ANY GENUINE APOLOGIES. THE MANAGER TOOK RESPONSIBILITY. ANYWAY THIS ASTROFESTIVAL HAD MUCH LESS FATALITIES THANK GOD BUT MAYBE IT WOULD'VE BEEN NONE OR LESS IF THE RAP SINGER ..OR SOMEONE ELSE IN CHARGE ON THE STAGE WOULD HAVE CAME TO THE MICROPHONE & YELLED FOR EVERYONE TO STOP & PICK PEOPLE UP & GET THE HURT ONES OUT SO THE MEDICS CAN GET TO THEM..& FOR EVERYONE ELSE TO BACK UP & SPREAD OUT..OR WHATEVER THEY COULD DO TO MAKE IT BETTER. HOW COLD & CRUEL, SOME PEOPLE ARE CREATING A WORLD WHERE EVERYONE HAS THEIR HEADS DOWN LIVING IN THEIR PHONE EXCEPT TO WATCH A MUSIC CELEBRITY & HOLDING UP THEIR PHONE TO RECORD. BUT EVERYTHING REAL GOING ON AROUND THEM IS IGNORED .. AS IF THAT IS THE NOT REAL PART OF THE WEIRD WAY THEY'RE LIVING

Its crazy how punk, rock, metal, all these genres of music get so much hate and get villianized yet end up having the most positive and caring people within them. They're willing to put the safety of there fans as top priority over their performance, nothing but respect from me.
Edit: I'm going to preface, for those generalizing my comment, I am fully aware that the entirety of the rock/metal/punk genre cannot be fully considered safe and caring. No matter what genre, your unfortunately going to get people who will push aggressive and violent behavior for no excusable reason. I also didn't post this comment as a point to shit on other genres, like rap. Im fully aware of the Travis incident, and I don't support using it as an excuse to pit the entirety of the rap genre against each other or other genres. I don't care what music you like, I only care if your a decent human being whose respectful of others.

To be fair, we have videos from a ton of rap concerts where the artists stopped shows for safety reasons.
@@carlycrays2831 Yeah, my comment wasn't to shame other genres, the video showcased mostly rock/punk bands, so I was more focused on that. I know this video is currently getting popular due to the incident at Travis' concert, its unfortunate this shit is now being used to shame the entire rap genre as well as rap artists in general. Not to mention a lot of racists are now trying to make it about race which is just scummy. Even though there is an overwhelming amout of care that is to be had it the punk/rock community, it isn't 100% perfect and just like any other genre, it can house some pretty shitty people.
You just get an artist or two who do shitty things and act shitty and it can bring in a crowd of impressionable/shitty people into the community because a shitty artist will enable shitty people to do shitty things. And even though there is a ton of Travis stans being fucking moronic and still defending him, there is a lot of Travis fans/ex-fans who have criticized Travis' behavior justly.
