Thank you ... I needed to laminate a few things and didn’t want to buy a laminate machine . This solved my problem ... also those machines tend to mess up the plastic with lots of wrinkles and this won’t happen with an iron !

it might seem like a good idea but I wouldn't . I tried that and nearly sliced off my finger. The plastic is super slick so the knife can just go flying.

No offense to anyone who answered you, but depending on the thickness when I'm laminating for a disk-bound planner I do both. I figure out where the holes need to be once the laminating is done on the paper part, and it makes it easier to ounch through the lamination when I'm done. Once the holes are punched, I send it through the machine again a 2nd time to make sure its sealed as tightly as possible to the paper.
