    Thank you! This was the first tutorial that showed laminating pieces instead of full sheets of paper!

    How did you stop them from splitting?

    How do you make sure the seal isn't opened? I tried to laminate a card but I opened the seal when I accidentally cut too close.

      So far I have not have that happened to me. (Only happens if I try laminating two pieces of paper/card in the same laminating sheet.) Hmmmm, anyone else experienced this?

      I read it from somewhere that it happens when you don't laminate at the right temperature, your machine isn't hot enough to melt the pouch onto the paper

    Thinking about buying a machine. Video useful but could be faster. How about if I only have a small item to laminate. Do I have to use a whole page or can i cut it up.

      Thanks for your feedback. Cutting up the laminating sheet can risk it being stuck in the machine. What happened to me was, that I cut up the laminating sheet and used the top part, seal end to laminate a small item. Then later on, used the other loose end to laminate something else. That was a big mistake, the laminating sheet melted and got stuck in the machine. Lesson learn, there's a reason why one end is sealed. So I wouldn't recommend cutting up, however I believe you can find smaller laminating sheets as small as a name card size. To be used for laminating smaller items. I hope this helps. Cheers!

    Are the borderless paper water proof on each side.

    • @rainbootsandpuddles
      @rainbootsandpuddles  2 роки тому +1

      Hi there, either way is not water proof, splash proof maybe. The laminated paper will open up if left constantly wet. I hope this helps.

    Just what I needed! Thanks!! Question: is the borderless method as lasting as the one with borders?

    • @rainbootsandpuddles
      @rainbootsandpuddles  2 роки тому

      Hi there, welcome! In my experience, yes, both are equally lasting.

      But what happened if borderless one got spilled by water, will it soaked or not?

    • @rainbootsandpuddles
      @rainbootsandpuddles  Рік тому +1

      Hi there, one spill of water wouldn't ruin it. But if it's done frequently the lamination may come off. I've seen this happen in restaurants, where they frequently wipe their laminated menus.

    It seems like the with-border method would make it more water-proof.

    • @rainbootsandpuddles
      @rainbootsandpuddles  2 роки тому +1

      Hi there, based on my experience either way is not water proof. I used a laminated sheet outside in the sun and rain as a sign, it got ruined after a while. Water sipped in between the laminating sheet.

    What’s better borders or no boarders?

    • @leonardocastellanos7344
      @leonardocastellanos7344 3 роки тому +1

      There’s really no difference expect how you cut it and how it looks afterwards, I would say borderless is better because it looks cleaner

      @@leonardocastellanos7344 I work at a school and I've attempted the borderless before and when I cut the cards out after lamination, all of the film separated from the pieces of paper and I had to laminate them all over again.
