Probably like we appreciate zee ordered and well structured humour, how many meetings did it take for you to be this funny? Okay I just realised I'm definitely descended from Germans. 😂
I've seen this episode and clips of it many times. Bob and Richard are two of my favourite comics and they work so well together. I feel a 'Gone Fishing' style of programme would work well with the two of them.
I was devo when Richard left and didn't think Lycette would be any good. But I have to say, I feel like he's made it his own. It's not Richard, but it's not too bad once you get past that
In the 80's I worked at a well-known sweet firm and had a look at the recipe system - there were lots of E numbers but also additives with just numbers. "What are the additives without an E?" "Oh, they haven't been tested yet."
I heard it was the A Thousand Leaves tour. The pipe smoker was Harmony Korine, director of their music videos at that time. The concert wasn‘t seated in general, Richard and Harmony were in a small V.I.P. section.
The only way the Miracle Berry additive scandal could be exposed is through a couple of great comedians. I had wondered how the best sugar substitute wasn't on our store shelves. Obviously it was banned by paid off politicians by the sugar industry.
2 wonderful people, doing wonderful things in wunderbar locations, simply wunderbar. A masterclass in charm and whit! i look forward to watching the full episode! and the rest of the series to date come to think of it...
Before today, I'd only ever seen clips without the TONS of product placement all over. Holy crap, whoever thought of putting comedy celebrities into essentially travel and gadgets ads must've made quite some cash...
Thank you so very much for posting these. Bob Mortimer is a national treasure and beyond. He is sorely missed fishing with Paul. Hopefully he will heal and be back. Till then we have programmes like these. Cheers.
If Bob Mortimer is going to be, well, himself, I'd prefer that he wore a British military jacket versus something disrespectful to what I used to wear. Having the US Flag on his jacket is shit.
i lived from te out of date half price shelf at bookers crisps are good for 2 years ,tins can last up to 100 years out of date eggs , cases & cases bought by carp fishermen for boilies Plain chocolate = 8 week date & then it goes white , thats why its not popular on shelves
I like that you also refer to dark chocolate as “plain”, but I have stashed bars of 80% dark for many months at home, with no loss of quality. All chocolate gets a white “bloom” if it is stored at too high a temperature. Milk, plain/dark, 50/50…
I love how much the additive museum guy appreciated their humour 😂
Best chemistry for a good show and entertainment, some people are always able to create that around them.
He's a scientist, all they do is appreciate the weird and wonderful. 😂
@@JustLennyBennyBest chemistry, ey! Nice one ;)
Side Note: every slightly nerdy Person i know in germany LOVES it crowd. So he might know Richard from that.
@@OnChords haha really? That’s funny to hear and probably correct, thanks for chucking that in!
The quick and stern interjection of ‘don’t try crab’ killed me lmao
"it's incredible that someone's bothered to do this." I'm gonna start using that line in my day to day.
"It's like I'm in the dentist's!"
Since when has Bob Mortimer ever been to the dentist?
“There’s no exclusivity” 😅
Must be out of his Fuji 9!
Aren't his upper teeth one vast tooth? The rest is self-serviced.
He does his own dentistry....
@@neithere The upper gallery is titanium, apparently (and probably courtesy of the lads at Infinity Rocket Plastics.)
Never seen Richard smile as much as in that bar with Bob.
Bob has such a great energy, I love how Richard is just glowing in his presence!
Bob and Richard are so delightful. Bob saying "it's so refreshing, baby" was perfect.
Bob’s face after hearing the phrase “morning sausage” 😂 so many thoughts coming to his comedic mind
Well he is well versed with the fun of passing morning wine and morning toffee behind the local shops, after being ejected from his lodgings;]
"Terrified that my secret morning sausage ring is about to be bust wide open..."
Comic. Dont encourage the americans
He's such a child but it works so well. 😂
Yep...the little smile, his tone of voice. He says absolutely everything by saying nothing at all.
'Terrified that my morning sausage ring is about to be bust wide open'... You didn't just do that! 😂😂
I think that Germany is the perfect place for Richard's humour!
Probably like we appreciate zee ordered and well structured humour, how many meetings did it take for you to be this funny? Okay I just realised I'm definitely descended from Germans. 😂
I want Bob Mortimer to be my dad. Lol. Both these men are international treasures.
That would be so "refreshing baby"
That Sonic Youth story is hilarious. "That's very dissonant." Great line! 😂😂😂
That cocktail bar looks awesome. I would quite happily get completely plastered there
Richard's impersonation of the pipe smoking man appreciating Sonic Youth is as refreshing as those cocktails must have been.
A brilliant double act. Two incredible comedians who can bounce off each other. Pease commission a series.
I want to watch those two travel the whole world, or better yet go with them
That museum guy should be a guest star. His laugh is delightful
I've seen this episode and clips of it many times. Bob and Richard are two of my favourite comics and they work so well together. I feel a 'Gone Fishing' style of programme would work well with the two of them.
Yes, this is not a pairing I'd have seen working but somehow does. Like tea and chocolate
Absolutely loved Travel Man when Richard did it, some quality episodes with top quality guests. Joe Lycett is good too but loved it with Richard
lycett is funny, but unfortunately with half his jokes the punchline is some version of "I'm not straight, by the way."
I was devo when Richard left and didn't think Lycette would be any good. But I have to say, I feel like he's made it his own. It's not Richard, but it's not too bad once you get past that
These two never disappoint when added together
2:02 Love Bob just having a smirk at morning sausage.
In the 80's I worked at a well-known sweet firm and had a look at the recipe system - there were lots of E numbers but also additives with just numbers.
"What are the additives without an E?"
"Oh, they haven't been tested yet."
The additive museum owner was like a pound shop Bond villain! 😂
❤❤
"...that's very dissonant." - Pipe Guy, describing Sonic Youth
Bob just seems to get on with everyone
I got the vibe that Richard was/is a huge fan. Like the kid who's just stoked to meet his dad at last, then over the moon that he likes his jokes 😅
For those who don't know, Berk is cockney rhyming slang, short for Berkshire Hunt. So Richard just called a swan a c***!
I'd be happy for this to be played at my funeral.
Sonic Youth. Seated venue. Pipe smoke. ---Connoisseur kind of talk. The better, if it was the "Dirty" tour.
I heard it was the A Thousand Leaves tour. The pipe smoker was Harmony Korine, director of their music videos at that time. The concert wasn‘t seated in general, Richard and Harmony were in a small V.I.P. section.
I like this pairing.
I feel awful that all I can think is, "This is a local shop for local people. There's nothing for you here."
you should
"Will heaven be like Swansea?
Yes, Tubbs. Only bigger."
What's that from?
God he does look like it a little 😂😂

My sausage ring was about to get busted 🤣
We go in to every new piece of Bob media with the knowledge that, at some point, he will ask for meat 🥩
Bob been my hero since I was young for a laugh. When I was I kid I’d watch shooting stars and loved him since 😊
'Shooting Stars' was hilarious "Iranooo" (Or should I say ooohvarvooo" !) 😂😂
2 wonderful people, doing wonderful things in wunderbar locations, simply wunderbar. A masterclass in charm and whit! i look forward to watching the full episode! and the rest of the series to date come to think of it...
Bob is a national treasre..man is absolute legend..
A The Shamen reference? Well done, Richard!
Haha loved hearing the Scooter reference. What a band.
You had me at 'I've been on a coach'
Two international treasures
I wish they were. But sadly, they're only known in the U.K.
@@slake9727oh I dunno. Everything is online now so I'm sure they have a lot of fans worldwide. I've heard Richard is pretty big in Norway
Before today, I'd only ever seen clips without the TONS of product placement all over.
Holy crap, whoever thought of putting comedy celebrities into essentially travel and gadgets ads must've made quite some cash...
DON'T TRY CRAB
Like The Shamen we start with the E’s… 😂
E-man, Richard and Bob. The dream team. Give them their own series.
Two of my favourite comedians. what's not to love.
Great watching two of my favourite funny people having fun together ❤️ 💕
Thank you so very much for posting these. Bob Mortimer is a national treasure and beyond. He is sorely missed fishing with Paul. Hopefully he will heal and be back. Till then we have programmes like these. Cheers.
What happened?
What a combo
Brilliant double act. Love it 😂
He should've let them try the crab
A seated Sonic Youth gig? Richards in a different realm
I like their similar coat preference
His morning sausage ring was being broke wide open.
We need a podcast with these 2.
They went all the way to Germany to see 2 swans a long boring tunnel and an additive museum... 😂😂😂
Hey, it was worth it for that cocktail bar 🤤
Is Richard really tall, or is Bob really short?
Yes.
sonic youth: that's very dissonant. :puffs pipe:
Is Bob Mortimer short or is Richard Ayoade tall? Or both?
I wouldn't say hysterics, exactly. Not in the same league as Fern Britton laughing at dunking beef.
Please give us Richard Ayode and James Acaster. The levels of comedy and social discomfort would be legendary...😂
I seem to remember seeing that combo at some stage and it was as epic as I'd anticipated
Hilarious!!!!!
So so funny 😂😂😂😂
As much as I like Joe Lycett, Travel Man is just not the same without Richard. The man is a rare and precious gem.
I wish so badly Travel Man stayed with Richard, it was amazing, he was so perfect for it.
"As Bob tried to remember his Ocado order"......... I literally snorted out loud, it kinda hurt!
Namecheck’s Scooter, then a dude scoots by on his scooter *Twilight Zone theme plays* 😵💫
I live in Hamburg. So would have loved to have seen you walking the streets of Hamburg.
Morning sausage....you can tell Bob Mortimer wants the other 2 to giggle there can't you? 😆
Now I think of it, my Morning Sausage has had a somewhat duller appearance in recent years.
I never imagined there'd be a room in which Bob wasn't by default the funniest person.
He just said he was going to get his morning sausage ring busted........ fnarrrr
If I hear Richard say the name "Christian," and mention toilets, I think of the story Bob told him about the backwards toilet he tried to patent.
0:22 But assault is okay...
I appreciate the extremely unexpected Scooter shout-out
Bob Mortimer is just such an uncle bob. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
''Like the Shamen, we start with the E's..'' hahaha
Alarmingly bright establishment
If only ayoade was even 1% as funny as Bob
"there's a freshness to you" :D so true
Such a good pairing!
Absolute hysterics
"morning sausage" 🤣
Bring back Richard
bring back Richard.
Bob really is the best 😊
Brits and Europeans are so different 😅
*Europeans are different from each other.
Has Bob ever mentioned why he likes wearing that American jacket?
I've asked him a few times but his response each time was: "You talkin' to me?"
Richard A-U-R-D
I hate this science teacher looking “comedian”
Richard ayoade is an excruciating watch.
If Bob Mortimer is going to be, well, himself, I'd prefer that he wore a British military jacket versus something disrespectful to what I used to wear. Having the US Flag on his jacket is shit.
get over yourself amigo
Maybe he wore it as a mark of respect?
no one cares you never served shit
And then it was ruined by fairy Joe
