Of course, Jews are not a race, but that does not make this antisemitism not racist, seeing as the oppression and hatred is very much based on the belief of race. Sure if we go back hundreds of years, the majority of the persecution of Jews was very religious, coming from Christian churches and the Islamic world, based on the accusation of Jews believing in the wrong god, or being blamed for Jesus' demise. But it is so important to differentiate between this older, religion-based oppression and the modern very much racial hatred we see today, and was seen in Ford's time. I hope that clears up why this antisemitism was indeed racist and continues to be.
