    Lovely dog, I've had my vizsla for 7 years - he's called reggie and the only difference is his tail hasn't been docked.

    glad she is healthy again. great job on her training. vizslas enjoy learning new skills, and you seem to provide very good mental simulation. she is still a beauty.

      my same age vizsla boy had a recent leg injury and had to keep him calm for a week, i guess u can imagine, lol. we have gone thru lots of mental stimulation instead of the physical one and while i was hating to see him hurt, i still enjoyed every minute of the time spent together and after his recovery he was richer of some new tricks :-)

    Thank you so much for having this UA-cam page. A dog showed up in my backyard and she is the greatest dog. I can't find the owner and looks she is a keeper. I have 2 other dogs and she gets along with them great. She is a jumper. She might be a vizsla or mixed with vizsla.

    One fine day, the dog revolution happens. After that it's us humans rolling over and giving palm inorder to get some snack. Vizslas in power!!! that'll be a great day.

    1:05 when your vizsla would do the half way roll over it reminds me of my vizsla mable she does the half way roll over. Or she'll spin. 😂😂😂. You vizsla is like my vizlsa 😂

      yeah. I have the exact same problem with my 6 month vizsla pup. and she seems to learn almost everycomand in a flash, but down. how did you teach fifa that?

    • @JustinandFifatheVizsla
      @JustinandFifatheVizsla  8 років тому +1

      Down is the next level of sit imo. Teach her to sit first. I then used the hand signal of a flat palm facing down with a hidden treat she could smell. I'd bring the flat palm downward and away from her while saying "down". Moving my hand in that direction naturally made her go from a sit position to a down position.

      Justin and Fifa the Vizsla hmm, is the barrier because she chomped on books or to protect the tv? 😉🐾
      I've a Vizsla since I was 13. The ones I have now are 16 and 1.
      (I'm 43). I've loved many a red dog.

      We are interested in a Vizsla but a little worried that my wife and I work 8 hours. I run every morning for a hour before work every day. Would that likely satisfy her high drive until 1 of us return. Could likely go home at lunch most dats for 20 minutes. Thank you in advance for Your assistance

    When you went on your first hike with Fifa did you let her off leash? How did you train her to stay near you off leash or does she just do it naturally?

    • @JustinandFifatheVizsla
      @JustinandFifatheVizsla  8 років тому +1

      I kept her on leash for most of her first couple hikes. Once she started to drift, wander, or stay back sniffing something, would I then put her back on leash. She's still not great at it, but we'll get better over time.

    I am Vizsla too, my 3rd one. I hate it that the tail was cutted. It's forbidden in our country. But ok. You trained her perfectly. But you should not make the roll over. It's not good for bigger dogs. But the rest is perfect

  • @Wienerblutable
    @Wienerblutable 8 років тому

    And she not running enough, not enough muscles. It's one of the fastest breeds, but you a much better owner, than most in the states, from what I have heard and seen
