I just met one of these dogs down town and had to look him up - a magnificent creature! Lovely nature and a great lolloping, athletic character. Made my day.
I’ve had two male Vizslas and yes everything Lord Canon is doing is pretty typical for that breed. Good on you for keeping him exercised , so many high energy dog owners don’t and that’s sad 😢.
I love seeing 4 legged Angels very well taken care of. He has got a wonderful family, only 1 thing he needs, a playmate, another vizsla🙂dogs love to be with dogs. You got huge garden, lots of outdoor space😍Thank you for being such a well behaved "human"❤🙏😀
I had two Vizslas when I was a teen. Both dogs went through obedience training, puppy through advanced. Also field trials on quail mainly. I feel the obedience training was huge for them. They want to please unlike other breeds like hounds. I also took them to the school grounds by our house, basically four softball fields and hit a ball across it until I was tired. Seemed like they never got tired. Incredible hunters, very smart, athletic and super in the house. I miss them both and have a coonhound now
gorgeous, happy dog. I admire your dedication to his supervised outdoor exercise 👍 You are lucky to have that forest area that's perfect for his exploring.
get a lap dog then, not a V...they want to run and play all day so you'd better be active. not saying evening snuggles aren't included as the 'dessert" after a busy day 😁
You sure hes not a mini poodle 😂 my boy is exactly the same nature. Your boy is really beautiful saw to of them while camping this weekend at Herbertville NZ lovely looking animals
On my 3rd Vizsla (have fostered 4 others over the years) and have greatly enjoyed the vids I’ve seen from you. Your boy is a better watchdog than my girl so I’m envious. Also, Cornwall looks lovely. Will have to visit the next time I’m in the UK.
I laughed so hard at the sensitive soul = basically scared of everything bit, I almost woke up my viszla girl! Luckily she just gave me a judgy look and went back to sleep. But I don't understand how you get 3-4 hours of exercise into your day to day!! Our daily routine is more 1-2 hours and then once or twice a week an adventure which can be something brain stimulating like a highly populated area or something outdoorsy. Right now I'm sick in bed and she's happy to go on two 20 minute walks and cuddle in bed for the rest of the day. And sometimes when it's cold and rainy she will give me an attitude like a teenage girl throughout the entire walk and just be so happy to get back onto her comfy spot once we're home.
We have a 6 year old Vizsla. We call him our couch potato. He's totally fine if we don't take him for a walk for a week straight. He just wants to cuddle either next to us or on top of us. Lol. Our 8 year old Brittany needs more exercise than our Vizsla.
I have a 10 yo rescue that J have always thought was a pitbullxvizsla. After watching this and other videos, I am even more convinced I am correct. Beaux is incredibly sensitive, hates being alone, curls up in a ball and likes to be under the covers. He is very vocal (ie he barks at a leaf blowing in the street) and loves to “talk” to us. He is the most exasperating dog I have ever had, but he is my heart. He is so incredibly smart and has taught me so much about training and behavior management. I love him so much!! 🥰🐾💙
I have wanted a Visla for many years, but work would have meant leaving on its own a lot so I resisted the urge to get one, now I have retired I haven’t the health or energy to give the dog the exercises it needs so I feel it would be unfair on the animals. However I can still get lots of enjoyment from the breed by watch videos such as this one, thanks for uploading and sharing your lovely pet . Super looking dog, full of character.
Happy to see LC again😊 He is about a month older than our Vizsla. I remember watching your video when we just got Ruger. Thank you for sharing. Please keep us all posted🙏
Just the constant barking every time someone comes in the room or walks within 30 feet of the house! I would love to have my blinds open again one day!🤣🤣🤣
@@LordCannonTheVizsla I understand your problem, of course. I found a link which might help you a bit: ua-cam.com/video/2nfo5SigKWQ/v-deo.html (Well, I can't agree with every sentence. I would leave out the forced physicality and the leader aspect.) I hope you'll find the right solution.🤞
Hi guys. We’ve just got our puppy Hugo who is 13 weeks old. He is to be a Helpful Hound for our daughter. Watching your videos of when Lord Cannon was little was brilliant. So many of the things he did Hugo does. 😂 Still currently working our way through the videos. Hopefully things have got easier. Thank you for the great videos. Best wishes S & W
OMG😂😂I have just worked out what breed my dog is. Ticked every single box with regards to behaviour and more. The digging, socks, running round with the cushions. She's a Ukrainian rescue but now I know definitely Hungarian Vizsla but I have to say I suspected when she removed my mangoes from the fruit bowl and took them into my dining room .😮
I like your videos very much. Are there any advices given by Lord Canon for some human moms and dads which are getting their own vizsla in a few weeks? Maybe in a new video?
Thank you, I hope you are getting on well with your new Vizsla. I think the best tip for new puppy owners is to remember the puppy stage doesn’t last forever, so try and enjoy it however difficult it is. Get lots of training in too.😊
Vizsla is one of the best type of dog, that’s for sure. There is a cartoon series: “ Frakk, a macskák réme! “ Frakk is a funny Hungarian vizsla dog. I’m not sure is it exists in English or just in Hungarian? But if you are a vizsla fan, you should watch it.
have 2 high reward toys, squeak and toss one, give him a min to play, thrn squeak and showw the other toy, as he returns with the first say drop it as you squeak and agitate the second, the instant he drops the first you repeat drop it and toss the second. Can also be done with one toy and a high reward treat (like raw liver 😋). A V is smart so find what he likes and "pay" him for cooperation. Good luck
My husband bought a vizsler and brought to the 2 bedroom flat with 2 kids no space and does not looks after it at all. Cannot keep up, he is amazing but needs to be rehomed. My question is :”How long does it take for the dog to get used to ina new place please”?
You need at least 3 hours minimum to go outside with a Vizsla every day. If not, you get real problems inside the house. They are running machines. They run 10 times more than you. They have to be trained, then they are the best friends.
I lost my Viszla girl after 14 years together . She was so similar. I miss this "bringing a gift " when you come home. Now I have a Viszla/ Weimeraner Mix girl. 5 month old. She is great ,butnot 100% Viszla.
Honestly, it’s pretty exhausting, especially doing it on my own, it takes a lot of caffeine! 🤣 I work mornings so I fit his exercise around that but if I were to work full time, he would have to go to a doggy daycare. 😊
I worked fulltime while raising, training, and showing my 2 (not at the same time), but a very large yard AND another playful dog were key to my success. I rarely "walked" either of mine - just played and trained most days after work. I cannot see a V as a "house dog" without a very active, disciplined owner.
Great video but I was hoping to see him or her run at top speed. I've read this breed can run 40 mph. I'm sure that varies but I'm guessing he or she can run really fast. Beautiful dog though.
I have two male Viszla puppies! Jr. Is 15 months and Jody 3 months old. I had a female 20 years ago and was the best companion ever! My friend breeds them and I waited over 4 years for a female. Last year I got a call from the breeder that she had 10 boys and would give me a great deal. I have never been happier when Jr. Came into my life! One year later I ordered another puppy thinking if one is great, two will be twice as great! I was wrong, 2 Viszla puppies are 4 X s great!
Working on the barking - forget it! My dog is now 3 and he has a very gentle temperament BUT anyone comes near the house, he really goes off! Great watchdog! Anyone else I know or have heard of who has a Vizsla has the same comment - they bark when someone comes. Just accept that as part of the wonderful experience of having a Vizsla in your family. Oh, I've never had problems with destructive behaviour or "stealing things". He has his toys and likes using them playing with me, but leaves all else alone.
I guess on a positive note, if someone tries to break in I will know about it! 🤣 I haven’t found a toy yet that he doesn’t destroy within the hour, but I will keep looking! 😊

Great video & music, editing; loved the subtitles.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you! ☺️
The best breed, our Loki is 3years and still puppy like. Thank you for sharing
Thank you 😊
Our 4-month-old Vizsla Scooter is exactly!!!!! like Lord Cannon. Keep posting so we can see what we are in for in the future....
How exciting, hopefully yours is sleeping better than Cannon at that age! 🤣
Great to see you both back. We have a 20 month V and the similarities are uncanny! We are seeing much more calmness!!
Yes, luckily slightly more calmer here too! 😊

With a 4 month girl and chewing everything. 😂 thanks for sharing. The raised food and water is a brilliant tip I take, thanks.
So happy to see the video..please keep making them..He has made so much progress and gives me hope for training my dog.
I fostered one she was a year old when I got her she's the best

Hi,
still have to wait a few weeks before welcoming my puppy viszla... Really nice video!
Too impatient!
Best wishes
What a sweetheart. I would hug and pet this little guy all day long !
😍

Look at how grown up gentleman he is! A vizsla will be always be like a courious childlike being doggo😊
Indeed, he looks like a gentleman and acts like a toddler! 🤣🥰

Ahh! He’s not scared of water! We are maybe getting our third vizsla! Thinking about adding a room onto our tiny home!
A third!! Wow!! 😊

Glad you enjoyed the video, yes they do need a lot of exercise and hate being on their own. I’m forty and I can barely keep up! 😂
He’s exactly the same as my vizsla
Happy to see LC again😊 He is about a month older than our Vizsla. I remember watching your video when we just got Ruger. Thank you for sharing. Please keep us all posted🙏

4 trainers?😳 For what? "I'm just a typical vizsla."😉
Just the constant barking every time someone comes in the room or walks within 30 feet of the house! I would love to have my blinds open again one day!🤣🤣🤣

Your video warms my heart! Our sweetie is almost nine! They do calm down ❤️

Happy you’re back! Do you think you could do a video on how you continue to train an adult vizsla? My vizsla struggles with “drop it”
Yes I can do a video of what we have done so far, we still have a long way to go! 😊
have 2 high reward toys, squeak and toss one, give him a min to play, thrn squeak and showw the other toy, as he returns with the first say drop it as you squeak and agitate the second, the instant he drops the first you repeat drop it and toss the second. This is our Vizsla Oscar to an absolute T!
My husband bought a vizsler and brought to the 2 bedroom flat with 2 kids no space and does not looks after it at all.

How do you find time during a work week to give the ammount of exercise and attention required?
Honestly, it’s pretty exhausting, especially doing it on my own, it takes a lot of caffeine! 🤣 I work mornings so I fit his exercise around that but if I were to work full time, he would have to go to a doggy daycare. 😊

Thanks, yes he can run really fast and for a long time! I’ll get some video footage of his speed! 😊
Where do you two walk? Me and my vizsla are also in Cornwall and I don't recognise the places!
All over but the beach is Perranporth 😊
They seem to be a good breed I got tired just watching all the running and being busy. Thanks

Yes absolutely, he’s eating a buffalo ear 😊
Why don't you hunt rabbits anymore?
Unfortunately the only thing that I hunt is butterflies. Anything bigger is too scary! 🙈
