I love the way Rocky used to cuddle and snuggle with Bailey when young. He still does that which shows how clingy and affectionate he is. Too cute😚

We adopted two Golden Retrievers last year after their owner went into care. Mack is now 11 and his daughter, Bailey, is 5. They have brought such joy into our lives.

Reminds me when I first brought my retriever into my household to introduce it to my huskies as a new family member. The retriever was scared of them, I think it's because of his memories of getting abandoned. But my huskies were gentle, by giving them the balls or the plushies to hug and play with. They'd sleep next to him every day, and now as I'm typing this, he's current;y running around with my huskies in our yard. They're playing tag :)

The Golden retriever is so smart and even balanced, he trained in the shepherd to be more gentle too. SMART OWNERS.

I love how jealous he was and then and he got older they really became brothers. The little sibling you get that annoys the heck out of you but you love them to pieces haha
Most of the time it is a display of which is the top dog.
It’s neither. Dogs are incapable of experiencing abstract emotions like ‘jealosy’, and the ‘top dog’ and the ‘dominance theory’ has been proved wrong by the person who has first introduced it. What he is actually doing is showing that the pup is in his personal space and he is not in the mood to play or cuddle.

I had the opposite scenario. The shepherd was 2 when I brought the golden puppy home. They are best buds...inseparable! Love it!!!

This is the cutest ever! I love German Shepherds and Goldens as well, and seeing them being all cute and silly is the best. I like how they both tried to lay on the same spot on the couch as big dogs and they couldn't fit lol 🥰
The thought of sitting on the sofa covered in hairs, dog smells, possible fleas picked up when they were outside playing and not to mention their sometimes smelly rear ends makes me want to puke. Plus the first picture of them on a bed …yuck! My friend has a doggie sofa just for them, not the one he uses. I like dogs but often wonder about their owners! Felt sorry for the Labrador having to fight off an over energetic puppy. Best to get two young dogs and bring them up together I would have thought? Not an interesting video, …..noisy, disruptive, dogs which their owners find entertaining for some strange reason.

This is the sweetest thing I’ve seen this last days, but I cried so much. I had a golden, his name was Summer. He was one year and two months old, and was so happy, docile, loyal. He made my days so happy.
Unfortunately, he had cancer and it took him away from us, just a few weeks ago. And I would do anything to have him back.
One thing I can say for everyone who owns these little angels: enjoy every day, make them happier than the day before. They deserve everything, and still, they just want love.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious Summer... May God cushion your heart with lots of love-filled memories when you are feeling sorrowful. 💯🙏🏽❤️🐕
I feel your pain bro. It's been over 20 years since I lost my dog and I still think about her daily. Innitially I would cry because I missed her but slowly I started smiling and even laughing when I thought of her and the wonderful memories. Even after they pass away they still continue to give us joy.

Bailey has to be the most patient, agreeable dog I've come across. He accepts every animal, regardless of what kind, and treats them all with gentleness and care. He's perfect for parents who are are the males and female versions of Dr. Doolittle.

Looks like my home 10 years ago: my 5year old golden when we brought a tiny mixbreed really didn't know what to do, then they became playmates, now the younger is the eyes and ears for the golden who lost his sight and hearing. They are inseparable 💕

So cute! I have had both a German Shepherd and a golden retriever. They are both wonderful dogs. They have very different personalities, but I can see how they could complement each other very well. And both of them just really want to be lapdogs! And I love how they are both allowed on all the furniture! Just like my dog.❤

My baby girl was like your G. S. She died on 11 October 2022. One year without her. I m crying during walking, watching TV or driving. The mask of your baby GS is the same that my heaven's dog. Her name was OKAMI. RIP baby girl. My best regards to your babys. True love without rules.

They have a desire to please and obey. They are intelligent and therefore easy to train. They have a friendly and sociable temperament. Labradors and Golden Retrievers also have a higher expression of a certain gene (OXTR gene) which leads to increased social bonding, trust, and friendliness.
So you don't need luck with an individual dog with these breeds. Virtually all of them are safe and friendly. They are so popular precisely because they are such a safe pick, and also exceptionally good with families.
Just came across this video & what a sweet pair these two wonderful dogs make. Still dealing with my broken heart after having to put down my beautiful Scottie part collie & sheepdog a week ago today, these two adorable dogs brought me so much joy. I hope they live forever🐾🐾
