It's good to see a man in today's time who has that good work epic need in all fields of work. Something that seems to be disappearing. Everyone wants to get paid but doesn't want to put the work in that is needed to get the job done. And done well. You are by far a breath of fresh air. @@austinniemela Not sure if you fixed that Idle yet, but clean out the IAC really good or replace it. I had some idle issues for a while and the IAC's are pretty finicky on these
I just got these for my pickup, but they are the newest 2021's with the Osram LED chips and they look the same but have the DRL / Turn Signal bar at the bottom. $90 on Amazon. I've got to order the harness now too tho. Derp! Thx Austin. PS -- The metal retainer ring screws are M4-.07 x 10mm (I bought new stainless ones to replace the old rusted ones) And just some objective criticism, you should make the wheel bearing stuff into it's own video or add it in to the video title. I would've never known otherwise.. :)
Austin you may be able to drill through the cab towards the top, anchor a come-along through the hole to a 2x4 or something then to a tree and pull. Then patch the holes. Or if you are lucky, run a long piece across the inside with out drilling holes and pull on that. Looks like that might work in your situation.
"towards the top" ? the top is pushed in that far? It looks to me like its just the sheetmetal is dented up there. The b pillar does look like its pushed in and thats an easy pull with a block and tackle and a metal hook or a porta power from inside or it might pull out by just tack welding washers to the sheetmetal and pull from those. The A pillar could probably be pulled out with a big slide hammer and with a hook. These cabs are easy to move pillars on. But... it wouldn't hurt to get an estimate from frame repair shops. They may be hurtin for business and will give a good price
Austin, have you seen the vw 4.2 v8 tdi? It's a very good engine, durable with tons of after market support and if a v8 is not what you are after there's the smaller version wich is a v6 tdi, also an awesome engine with literally tons of torque! Just saying if you want to go for another swap in the future it might be worth chechking both those options out!

Great video, very helpful. Quick question. I bought the new style headlight of the ones you have, including the wiring harness but when I plugged everything like I was supposed to, none of the other lights worked. No corner lights or tail lights. I removed the wiring harness and plugged in the old headlights and everything works now. Any ideas of why it could be?
I checked the fuses that are located in the engine bay and those are good. Any other place I can check for fuses? Thanks for replying and sorry for bothering you , it's just that I was excited to install the new head lights and the low beams work but no other lights as I mention work
Are they DOT Approved? Not a fan of hard cut-off lines in modern lights. Makes me want to see more of what is ahead of me. I like standard H6054 with low mount driving lights tied into the low beams as law in VA.
Hi i don’t know if your gonna read this but is there any chance you could tell me how tight to torque all of those other bolts and such that you took off , would be a very big help, thank and I love your videos!!!

Quick question, so I plugged everything like you did on your video but when I do, none of the corner lights work. So I left the new ones plugged in and I plugged in one of the old headlights (driver side) and all of the corner lights work including the new ones. Any idea why that might be? Thanks in advance for the help
You will always have some leakage at the inner hubs, impossible to completely seal them. I have tried for years. Same lights I use with the goofy adapters:)
Clever idea with the pvc "greaser"! I'm new to your channel,if you don't mind my asking how big is your shop? Does the stove you have warm it pretty well or does it just take the chill out? I live in New England and will be retiring to northern Maine and am gathering ideas for my future shop build. Thanks!
Hey there, had a question. I bought the exact same harness for my LED conversion and a pair of very similar LED headlights. Is your harness still running strong? or have you had to replace the H4 harness. Mine started acting up, randomly turning off and on here and there while driving. Ended up purchasing a more expensive harness with better components.
I bought Trucklite brand 5x7's...... didn't use relay harness....lights work fine....the only thing is, my high beam indicator doesn't come on when on high beam....but no biggie
I bought a glass housing that looks stock that allows me to put my own h4 leds and I have the same issue with the indicator. I installed a harness too and it didn’t do any difference.
