I love it!
Wait you went to Hokkaido for kibi dango when Okayama is famous for kibi dango?
@@yellomonky4272when are you going to do the full in depth house tour you both promised?
I was telling a friend about elderly people choking to death on mochi while I was eating some sesame mochi. I no sooner read her the statistics about the choking hazard in elderly people when I tried to swallow a big mouthful of mochi and it would go down my windpipe; she had to do the Heimlich manoeuver because I literally couldn't breathe. Thank heavens she's a retired RN and knew what to do! I also learned to take smaller bites 😂
Uhh, coupon code didn't work...
i can't believe the guy _actually_ pointed and laughed when Jun tried to open the door wrong,
what a legend XD
The same guy who stole a taste of curry! Cheeky!
@@ScatterplotSpots From the CEO, no less!
Loki energy
@@boitaho Somehow, that makes him _more_ trustworthy as a CEO.
The door had a handle, of course Jun pulled on the handle. It is natural. Just like people will push a door that doesn't have a handle.
Ah the people from the company are so welcoming and proud of their area and their work. So nice to see they took you to other places as well. Sharing their process and their lives.
I love that the execs of this company wore suits but were joking around with you and even treated you to lunch. What great folks.
It was so lovely to see them joking around at lunch.
I'm used to the image of the serious Japanese salaryman whose mind is always on his work.
I love the CEO's appearance and character. You must have enjoyed very much that day. Thanks to the company for opening their doors for us!
“Thanks to the company for opening their doors”
…and for laughing when you pull instead of push.
I love their somewhat casual demeanour, yet being wholely serious about their craft :] Towards the end it felt like you guys were just friends hanging out and it's genuinely such a nice fuzzy feeling to see Jun (^^ )
I find the people and lifestyle to be very casual here in Hokkaido :) great place to live and visit
I love the three guys running the business. You can feel they're old friends with a good sense of humour who enjoy joking and messing with each other.
You better tell me where you got your profile picture from
😂😂 "you called the swans for me!"
"Ah, should i call bears and deer next"
That was such a funny and cute moment ❤️☺️
Not sure if I read it as a Disney Princess moment or a show of power of a local druid/beastmaster :D
@@P3x310 He can summon the bears. This beastmaster means business.
That was so funny. But then again my local black bears tend to be very chill.
He was trying to out-do Disney Princess Jun! Lol
it's especially heartwarming to see how fun and welcoming the management team is! that general manager definitely gives off cool dad vibes posing for the camera 😂
I'm so glad Sakuraco opened the door to this. These candy factory tours are really interesting and it's so cool to see how these things are made from the small scale up to these highly efficient little factories.
The ladies commentating about Jun's height and his seriousness while wrapping the mochi, were too cute!
I love seeing these companies where the multiple generations carry on these traditions with such skill. When I had a box subscription, every food in it tasted so amazing! I feel like I rarely find food made of such good ingredients and with such care here in the United States. It was my favorite time of the month when the box finally came. Many thanks to Tengudo Takarabune for allowing you to see their process. It's wonderful to see the process of how the snacks are made and why they taste so amazing!
I like how the big bosses taking Jun on casual outings and teasing each other at the restaurant
This is the only channel where I gladly watch the advertisement section for Sakuraco. It’s so curious and interesting. Plus Jun is great at everything👌🏻
Honestly it's just such a vibe seeing Rachel and Jun always get so excited when they get to try out all those sweets.
I've always been fascinated and loved edible wrappers as a kid and still do even now. I loved seeing the process of a company who still uses them, this channel is such a gem.
I enjoy these Japanese conversations in which everyone is careful to be respectful and complimentary. Even at the end when they laughed at Jun for pulling the door instead of pushing, or when the one man teased the other about being old and getting sauce on his shirt. I got no sense that they were at all mean-spirited about it. There's always something positive to say. A fine example for others to follow.
it's always a great day when junskitchen uploads
these type of how it's made videos are the best, we're learning so much! but also, really wishing smell-o-vision worked for those close-up mochi making shots...
aw it was so cute near the end to see y'all having lunch and sharing each others food, and the tour and them jokingly laughing with you about the push door. anytime i see japanese business men they seem sooooo serious, so its cute to see them act like kids.
Jun having to get down on his knees to be the right height for the table is sending me lmao
This was such a nice tour, the workers were so friendly and welcoming, you were staying at each section for so much longer than needed to just see how things are done, you got a sense of the workplace and the day-to-day. Thanks for the video!
Jun is so nice to everyone
These guys were basically putting their hands into dough that is the same heat as boiling water...
I was just amazed with the whole process...
Seeing these videos and how the snackos are made are just amazing...
Thank you to Sakuraco and Jun for bringing this beautiful video showing such talent, care and warmth from them to all of us. 👍👍👍
Genuinely love these videos!
Not only is it fascinating to see inside the factory, but i love the way everyone Jun talks to ends the conversation with a smile on their faces! His genuine respect, interest and fascination with what each person is doing is so lovely to see! It takes a special kind of person to get strangers to warm up so quickly.
😊
the way each one of this Sakuraco collab videos raises my dopamine levels... *chef's kiss*
Everyone was so friendly and you can tell they enjoyed talking about the making process of everything. Would be amazing to visit there!
Find someone who’s as excited to see you as Jun is to see a shed full of cows 🐮
We're eating good this month 2 uploads🎉! Thank you Jun for the amazing edits as always I know the effort you put into these videos because I edit my own landscape photos when going to different areas of the Canadian prairies! Thank you for always valuing quality over quantity
What a wonderful series! Just being able to watch the process of how these sweets are made is so interesting. So much work goes into the little things you can buy and that we're able to view this process is a great experience ☺
I love Poki's face while you were eating your snacks, he looked so annoyed.
Sakuraco and Tengudo for the win! What marvellous sweets! And hospitality! And even a 'cowch', and swans! The mochi is impressive: the way it is created, and those who help bring it to us. Wonderful, humourous, fun tour, Jun! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🤲🏻🤲🏻🍫🍫More, please! 🥔🥔⭐⭐🤩🤩😋😋
Its really amazing how sakuraco gives you opportunities like this. I can't name any other companies who'd do that.
They seemed really friendly. I wouldn't mind sharing a meal with those gentlemen
They were laughing so heartily! Rather a rare sight. Enjoyed your video as always but this was slightly more special.
I love seeing all these snack companies, but all the people working at this one were especially endearing! They seem like such lovely and fun people! And of course this was very interesting...I adore dango!
amazing how Jun's channel has so many kinds of varieties, from cooking to the factory process of making traditional Japanese sweets. the packages seems small but there is so much effort behind it, the combination of modern machinery and old time manual work, fascinating.
The movement of the people separating the dough is so hypnotic. You can clearly see that they've done it many many many times because their movements are so smooth. It's like watching a kendo expert.
I love your fascination and appreciation of these artisans and companies big and small, that you're genuenly interested to visit. The humility and respect you show towards them and the kindness and warm welcome the greet you with and guide you around with everywhere, it's just a joy to see.
Cool videos, Jun! :)
Thanks for sharing them and keep up this amazing journey!😊🙏
I love these videos. The crafters are always so dedicated and proud of their work; it's wonderful to see!
seeing how the men who run this company treat guests and their employees just makes me want to try their candy more! what a lovely environment!
This is so wholesome! You always do such a great job putting people at ease and being so humble. I love this series of yours and it's really opened my eyes to japanese candy. I want to try them all now!
i absolutely love these factory tours
I love this so much. I love how respectful Jun is of their craft and genuinely appreciates it. I'm so glad they recognize him as someone honest to show these behind the scenes to and present it in the most endearing way to his audience. I wish I could support them directly. It's always been a dream to visit Japan. Thank you for sharing this experience with us!
Next up, Jun and Rachel move to Hokkaido so Jun can become an apprentice mochi candy maker.
I love this series of touring the companies for a peek behind the curtain. All of them are so interesting and impressive! The craftmansship displayed is amazing and I have huge respect for all of them.
Thank you for such a lovely video. I'm Ukrainian and have never been to Japan but I love mochi. And it was really moving seeing so friendly and welcoming people working on this product
The smell must be amazing😍. Feel really bad for missing this confectionary when I visited Hokkaido😢
Love this series about Japanese snack culture. ❤😊
Factory videos are always so satisfying ❤
Thank you for taking us on this trip with you, Jun! It was great seeing how traditional mochi sweets are still being made in Japan!
I absolutely love getting these videos seeing the craftsmanship of the staff in the factories producing all these treats, thank you Jun.
I love this series! It's interesting to see the process and I appreciate you take the time to interact with all the employees. It's also impressive how personable and accommodating the owners are with showing you around not only the factory but the local area.
This was such a wonderful video. I've always loved these kinds of "how it's made" videos. In Germany, there are children's shows exclusively for that, and I was always glued to the screen. Hokkaido is stunning! And what friendly and fun people you got to hang out with.
Jun: *eating mochi and enjoying it*
Poki: AM I A JOKE TO YOU?!
watching these in depth craftsman videos makes me desperately wish i could eat all the food in Hokkaido, Kyoto, and Osaka. you can see so much love put into the food to make it taste good and I just wanna eat what they make and thank them for the good food! Thank you for opening your doors to let us see some of the process!
Every video about Jun traveling, showing the local snack makers warms my heart
I mean this as the highest form of compliment: this channel reminds me strongly of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. The vibes are immaculate.
どさんこなので、ぼっこ状のきびだんごが小さい頃からの馴染みのおやつです🍡
工場初めて見たのでとても勉強になりました♡
明日買ってこよ〜!(笑)
"Cowch" 😂 loved the video, everyone seemed so friendly😊
I seriously love these videos! These japanese manufacturers are just so sweet
humanity shines in its individual crafts -- the feeling of eating food handmade by a company that handpicks their ingredients and loves their craft is hard to describe but it feels more intimate and personal instead of mass produced.
日本人として、こういった貴重な動画を見ることが出来てとても嬉しいです。
14:27 in my country they developed “plastic” bag (that you usually get when you go to convenience store) from cassava. And those bags dissolved only with hot water. Technology is amazing 👍🏻
I have been hesitating to take a subscription to Sakuraco since the first time you featured this box. And I can say this video is a success. Not only was the entire team of Tengudo Takarabune super nice (they really seem like good people), but it really made me want to buy the box just to try their mochi. So that's it, I'm finally going to try this Sakuraco box :)
I always love these videos, this one especially made me laugh quite a lot! This company, and the owners and employees all seemed so nice, it's cool that they let you film in there
By now, Jun has gotta be Sakuraco's MVP. These videos are always so relaxing and pleasant to watch, and I so wish I could afford to order a box! The precision and speed with that hot mochi...that's quite a bit of experience! Thanks for bringing us all along :) looking forward to the next one!
お餅や飴がオブラートに包まれている物を食べるとすごく懐かしい気持ちになりますね。JUNさんの工場訪問シリーズを観ていつも食べたくなってしまいます♪いつも貴重な映像をありがとうございます!
Every video feels like a little present for me. Thank you so much 🥰
I wish there was the same level of care during the process, where I'm from. Very inspiring.
Here in the states so much is automated that it's honestly shocking how much of the process still has human hands putting together the snacks in Japan.
It's honestly heartwarming to see.
I remember the first time I had a candy with the potato film on it as a kid and also wondering if it was edible.. but then I ate it and it was so good!! Love this exploration into Tengudo Takarabune factory, these videos are always such a fun way to learn about traditional Japanese snack making.
What a beautiful part of the world. Really enjoyed seeing this snack maker. Maybe one day I'll be able to afford a sakura co subscription.
Thanks to the factory and thank you for sharing the video❤ I learned sweets technology in Germany, so this was very interesting 😊. The staff and the GEO are very impressive. I wonder how you keep a high standard and moral like this in 4th generation. He has to be very committed 🎉 going through the apprenticeship himself was important for sure. I'm sure he has to have a good knowledge of people, as well 🤔
I've been watching the anime "Atarashii Joushi wa Dotennen; My New Boss is Goofy" and seeing those salary guys at lunch actually gave me a warm feeling.
A Milky Mochi Adventure in time for the holidays. Will you and Rachel be making your adorable holiday kitty merch, again, or shall I have to settle for snacks that are so fleeting?
Growing up, I have only ever eaten rice paper wrapped sweets/ candy. I have no idea that other kinds of edible papers exist. I am so curious what it tastes like. Thanks for sharing this manufacturing process 😊
17:32 i love this moment when they laughed together like kids
I enjoy how everyone is like "Yeah dude that shit BURNS at first but now I'm chill with it."
Jun, these videos are perfection. Seeing different places in Japan and learning about the local, traditional sweets and an insight to the factories. These craftspeople are such an important part of the Japanese culture. I also love listening to the language for a bit of practice too. Thankyou.
So excited to see another candy making video! I can’t wait until my December box arrives so I can try the mochi! I think I’ve had that apple honey one before and it was very good!
This was such a warm and educational video and you could tell how much fun Jun was having! I think Jun should be a cook somewhere or maybe have his own place. I'm sure the atmosphere he'll create will be very similar to this video.
Wowww this is wholesome to see. Better to witness in person!
My wife and i just watched this. We can hardly wait for our December Sakuraco box. Also thank you to the factory owner and workers for the tour.
Watching this from the other side of the world... I'd really like some mochi now :D
Thank you once again for this fun and educational video. Much appreciation to the Tengudo Takarabuno for keeping the traditions alive.
Great content. Educational and entertaining at the same time. Also focuses on a local product. This is lovely.
My son recently moved out of state, so I just sent him a box of Sakuraco treats to enjoy this Christmas :)
This video is so wholesome.
The mochi sweets are my favourites! Thank you for this video!
I signed up after your 1st video, I have tried american made mochi and did not enjoy it, after getting my 1st box I had my 1st authentic mochi and it is delicious.I am enjoying this series and the Sakuraco box very much Thank you! Your videos are always so beautifully filmed and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Thank you.
These look so tasty! They kind of remind me of tootsie rolls that we have here in the US! If you've never had them, they're a chewy cocoa flavored taffy and are probably the closest thing we have to traditional candy here. They've used the same recipe for over 100 years!
As someone who's alr subscribed to Sakuraco + looking forward to the December box, I don't think I would have known that the film was edible if you didn't say so 😅😅 thanks for the tip!
I'm glad the workers have that container of water next to them. It's nice to see how sweets are made as well.
I do miss eatable foil around snacks.
The amount of politeness is extraordinary.
new to the channel but LOVE your respect for these craftspeople! You thank them for allowing you to film, you refer to them as the mastercrafters they are. great video!!
I loved every person in the person in the factory, so kind and caring. Huge respect. Can’t wait to try some of their mochi
I adore these tours you've been doing! The making of the snacks is just such a calming and satisfying feeling to watch. Mochi is my favorite Japanese snack especially as part of Daifuku's, and my husband really likes the manju ones. I really like the tableware items from Sakuraco. The flower bowl from 2 months ago is my absolute favorite! It must have been popular, because it's still sold out for buying extra ones. Looking forward to this blue plate.
I love every single one of these videos; the quality is so high, and I love seeing the passion behind these snacks. Thank you Jun for sharing these beautiful moments of human connection!
うわぁ❣️ジュンさん来道!嬉しいです♪
