  • Are you trying to get well but you miss crunchy chips? Here's a healthy way to get them!
    ingredients:
12 ounce bag of organic pre-washed kale
    1/4 cup nutritional yeast
    1 tsp salt
    1Tb lemon juice
Instructions: mix the sauce ingredients together. Add kale. Massage sauce into kale. Dehydrate at 105 degrees F for 3-5 hours until crispy. Enjoy!
If you leave them out and they get soft, just pop them back in the dehydrator again until they are crispy again.
Note: I recommend a dehydrator for maximum nutrient preservation. If you use an oven, google instructions for slowest and lowest temp. Oven will still make healthier chips than the usual oily ones you get in the store, but they will no longer be considered raw.
Also, make sure you drink a lot of water when eating dehydrated foods.

Please make a video about what to eat on your healing protocol apart from the smoothies! Like, can we only eat raw salads with raw fruits and veggies and such? (No cooked food at all? I’m talking cooked veggies and sweet potatoes) You could list the foods that are ‚allowed‘ on the healing protocol and then talk about what one can eat on the ‚maintenance‘ protocol afterwards. I think a lot of us would really enjoy a video on that :)

I’m a little bit new to this, but from what I understand the healing protocol is all raw. It does include nuts and seeds in addition to veggies and fruits. And then the maintenance protocol would essentially be the hyper nourishment protocol I think? 😊

I love kale chips. I make them several times a week at the moment and eat a whole bunch of kale all by myself! I use. Sedona raw dehydrator and it’s excellent. I like to marinate mine in blended raw tomatoes, garlic and sundried tomatoes.

Excellent video, thanks! I have never regretted buying my Excalibur dehydrator, and this is just another perk of owning it - I am making these chips as I type this :)
If I may offer a tip, instead of wiping the finished product from the racks with your hands, just remove the white perforated sheet from the plastic frame, and bend it into a U shape, then tap it a few times to loosen the chips, and just funnel them into your bowl :)

@@shaylove5439, I forgot to add that the temps and time I gave you is for the dehydrator. I have a Breville air fryer with a dehydrator function but I never used it. I would think the time and temperature are probably the same. I am also waiting for Mary Bronson's answer.

I've heard kale is bad for people with thyroid issues? Have you done any research on healing hypothyroidism and how kale affects that? I love your smoothies and in hoping it's not true.

Love you and your videos Dr. G (recipe is updated from 2012). Please encourage buying/storing greens (and all produce/food) in non plastic, ie reusable (non toxic) bags like sml net laundry bags. They’re very easy to find. Just like animal protein foods are toxic for us and planet so is plastic. Ive heard you warn about fish and micro plastics which is great. Plastic esp one use packaging (water bottles, food etc) has/is polluting all oceans and global waters and (literally) choking marine animals and those that eat them to death. Only about 40% of plastic in US gets recycled. It’s also been PS music on video is great but hints at a glass of wine 🍷😉.
