  • I discuss with a client how to eat in a way that improves kidney function. Yes, kidney function can improve with diet. You just need to know how.

7montha after my diagnosis with Iga Nephropathy (plus possible lupus) my eGFR went from 52 to over 100 👌 gluten free was essential for me, amongst other things ! Don’t let doctors tell you it’s not possible to reverse these autoimmune diseases

This is exciting for me to hear. I also have IgaN and have been plant based for a year but I still eat cooked foods because Is is cold in Toronto in the Fall, winter and Spring. I did attend some of your free classes and read your book
My Nephrologist wants me to add cholesterol medications and I do not want to! I am already on a blood pressure pill. I suppose I need to go more raw and drink more water I am worried that consuming so much liquid is hard on the kidneys. Thank you for all that you do and share Dr Goldner.

How do I start your program?. I had lupus for a decade. I have kidney problem too. My mom is very religious and brings me to healers, but I told her it's the food that will reverse it. Need guidance please.

The basics are in her book, "Goodbye Lupus". The condensed version is: eliminate all animal products (meat, eggs, milk etc); avoid all processed products; and load up with as many vegetables and greens as you can. Green smoothies are the easiest way to do that, because otherwise you will be chewing all day long ;-) So you want to get most of what you're eating from the produce section, and you want most of that to be raw when you eat it. Fruit, raw nuts, and flax seed, hemp hearts and chia seeds are also great choices. Ooh, and guzzle water all day. Dr. Goldner recommends about a gallon. Best of luck to you!

My creatinine has dropped to 21 mg/dl and my protein has dropped to 39, however my nephrologist says I need stronger medications because my protein/creatinine ratio has increased. I am so confused

@Taiwo Omotosho after my post above, I did some research regarding the relationship between high protein and creatinine levels. I switched to a vegan and gluten free diet and my protein-creatinine ratio is now at 268. The normal level is 0-200!!! Thank you...I've just started following Dr. Suzanne Humpfries on Facebook.
