I had a really great friend (male) who constantly made me feel guilty and terrible because I wouldn't date or sleep with him. After a couple years I ended the friendship because he never stopped putting me down for it. Real friends don't guilt you into doing ANYTHING you DON'T want to do!

I'm happily married for 22+ years to a woman. He has known me for f'ing LONGER than I have been married....YET he got not only was surprised but pissed off when I said NEVER IN A THOUSAND YEARS.

Real talk: that was never a friendship. That was someone working towards an end. Started pressuring when the regular "being a great guy" act wasn't working.
He wasn't a real friend - one can express an interest but if it wasn't reciprocated, he should have just backed the fuck off.
Unfortunately guys like that only pretend he friends because they want to be more. It's basically a friendship with conditions.

Hi Charlotte! I just wanted to let you know that ever since the crisis happening in Lebanon and the power outage, I've made it religious to charge my laptop before I leave home so when I come back, I bring my snacks, and make sure to watch at least 6-7 videos while I finish those snacks 😂 I love your content and it really gives me solace and comfort how positive and funny you really are, thank you for the content that you're making and thank you so much for actually helping many of us out there with our daily hardships and mental healths. The thing about there being more trees than stars in the Milky Way is true. SPACE is infinite but the MILKY WAY isn’t. It’s a galaxy. There are about 3 trillion trees on earth, about 400 billion stars in the Milky Way. Just because something sounds unlikely doesn’t make it untrue!

It was in the metro (subway) and it was a picture with a false advertisement for a “hybrid shelter” with a number to call and when I tried it there was a recording of the actual voice actors acting out a scene from the series and making it sound as if they were being chased by the bad guys and told us in a hurry where to drop off our hybrids for better safety ! It was amazing !! Loved it !
If I was the person who'd decorated the wine glass with glitter and given it to their friend only for friend to donate it to the Sallies ... I'd buy it and display it prominently when the friend comes over. OR! Go to their house and put it somewhere randomly.

If you've got something serious to follow that with, like "Kyle died last night", then you really ought to send "Have you heard that kyle died last night" as a complete message.
I feel like the correct response to getting a text about someone close to you's death is "WTF". That is seriously a phone call or in person visit situation.

I once lived with my mother-in-law (long story.) Anyway, one Friday night, after a long week, I was home and planning to spend the night watching movies and chilling. My MIL had made a date to go out with a guy we both knew, but then got another offer from someone else at the last minute. Instead of calling the guy she had the date with, she asked me to answer the door and tell him she was sick. It made me very uncomfortable, because I’m not in the habit of lying like that. I felt bad for the guy. He then asked me if I wanted to go, since he was already there. I was really not in the mood. I politely said no, but told him I’d be willing to go some other time. So I ended up going out with this guy who was very nice, but I was not at all attracted to.
I lost a lot of respect for my MIL that day.
That last story........... total Uno reverse moment.😂😂😂😂😂

I just love when rich "influencers" ask for free stuff. Society is so effin backwards. Why when you're rich and famous do you get so much free shit but when you're broke you can't get a break anywhere? (And that's rhetorical, I understand companies give out free stuff so they can get promotions and advertisements.)
Just seems like maybe at this point a company would probably get a lot of praise and attention if they started giving out free clothes or whatever they sell to the less fortunate and promote that they're doing that as opposed to giving stuff to people who have more than enough money to buy it.
I'm in my 30s and I remember getting sooo much free stuff from companies when I'd go somewhere with my parents. Or even like mail in so many upcs and get like free shirt or hat, glass. Something.
@@Sausage709 And it was quality stuff that would actually last. I still have some of those toys and cups and other merch (not the shirts, gained a few too many sizes). Back in the day you could walk into a place and let them know it was your birthday and you could get a free sundae or something. Not anymore.

It looked to me like it was bot of some sort or if that wasn't the case it was a troll. No matter how bad your English is, you can't have this as a result. Because that is only possible if you do not know any language at all since it is completely devoid of all logic.

Thrift stores actually get a LOT of hand made items of which a pretty decent percentage were obviously made for a specific person (those we usually can't sale) but I'm sure a lot of the rest were too, just not as personalized.
I usually mark these up a little more simply because someone took the time to make it and they are unique.

As a Native Portuguese speaker, sometimes it gets into my nerves when people say that Spanish and Portuguese are the same. They are extremely similar, but not the same.
It's like saying Dark Blue and Light Blue are the same colour. They are variation of one colour ( meaning Latin), but they are not the exact same colour!
Or like people saying that Estonian and Finnish are the same when it is not the case. Similar, but the same. Same linguistic family (Finno-Ugric) doesn't make them the same, like with the Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian and other Romance languages.

to be fair they're not so similar, it gets really tricky when the words sound so similar and yet have different meanings, plus the grammar is not all that similar either...

The whole thing about being loose and "inspired" about other cultures and languages takes different degrees, and some do not evolve into strong ignorance (like "Portuguese is a Mexican dialect" kind of thing), but can get into a more positive space.

@@marianaval4986 it may be, but from what I have experienced its much easier for a Portuguese speaker to understand Spanish than other way around. Portuguese HAS WAY TOO MANY accents on vowels (unnecessarily 😡😡). And Portuguese is nasal and heavy tongue and Spanish is the opposite!

The hybrid babies thing looks like an ad for the show Sweet tooth on Netflix, which is about hybrid babies being born during a pandemic. I watched part of it, and that was what this reminded me of. Growing up that wasn't uncommon to see random news paper articles about some really crazy stuff, but we grew up in the 80s and the enquirer had some odd stories... lol!

I live in Australia, where our wait staff are paid a living wage, the cost of which is included in the price of the food. I found out that, in America, the menu price is the cost of the food on the plate (that's why it seems so cheap). Your TIP pays the wages of your waiter. So, how many tables must a waiter serve to make a decent day's wage? Unbelievable.

I think you misread that post about stars and trees. The post is referring to the Milky Way Galaxy. Not all of space. There are 3 TRILLION trees on earth vs an estimated 400 billion stars in the Milky Way. 3 trillion>400 billion
And that 400 billion is a high estimate. It could be half that. But there's still way way more trees on Earth than stars in our one galaxy. Moreover, space is not generally believed to be infinite.

2:35 one thing a pal of mine does (they’re an insta baddie kind of person, whose partner takes the photos) is that when they do a photoshoot, they always trade meals with their partner, so they can still have the lighter meals, and they don’t waste food

In the Netherlands giving a tip is considered a extremely high compliment because it isn’t a custom and also not need because working wages are beter.
In a nice restaurant a tip isn't that rare
That's because in Europe you actually pay your workers a living salary whereas here in the states food workers have to subsist on tips. It all started during the depression but when it was over they lobbied government to let them keep doing it & viola we have this shit show we have today.

I didn't tip when I was in the Netherlands. I try to find out tipping customs before I visit a country.
As a Dutchie I don't consider giving a tip "an extremely high compliment". Adding around 10% is pretty normal when food and service was good. Not tipping is done to show you considered your evening less than satisfactory (like you had to wait constantly, orders mixed up, food cold or cooked badly, unpleasant waiter etc).
That's how I was raised and I've never met anyone who does it differently.
So any foreigners reading this: tipping IS customary in The Netherlands. Not doing so is considered rude.

Imagine being a restaurant owner, struggling to keep your staff paid right now, and you get a PM on Twitter from some ditz with 300 followers telling you it would be in your best interests financially to give her and her 3 friends a free meal each & unlimited bar tab for her cats birthday.
As a doctor, I am legit concerned about the "stroke" typer. Could be someone drunk, but also certain kinds of strokes make you completely functional, you just can't express yourself. You can talk and write clearly, but it won't make sense or only half make sense. They get extremely frustrated because they can understand you but you can't understand them, which would be SO frustrating....and you could tell that person was getting frustrated. I really hope they were just under the influence and not having a stroke :/

I don't know the numbers of trees vs milky way stars, but the milky way is a 'small' area of space, and totally not infinite. It's a singular galaxy. Finite.
