He showed more effort into trying to make a set date/time in showing ACTUAL GENUINE interest!!..😮... I've been married to my elementary school crush since I was 16, n we just celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary however we've been together for 26yrs,.. n considering the fact that I've lived more of my life WITH him then WITHOUT... I can confidently say that I'd be lucky if my hubby remembered my bday, let alone being able to plan ahead for just "us" time!😮🤔😂 unfortunately I happen to fall in love with an extremely hyperactive,(child at ❤️) mentality with pretty disruptive OCD triggers/episodes, PLUS he hates going to the doctor so ive had to struggle hard with trying to keep up a strong relationship esp after all these years! Anyhoo, if I were the girl from the first story, I'd be forever embarrassed n ashamed of myself for acting out so immaturely n impulsive, yes who else can safely say the guy dodged a bullet, maybe it was the universe trying to warn him, ya know 🤷🏻‍♀️😫😵‍💫🤦🏻‍♀️🫨

I guarantee that are FAR more tiktoks, UA-cam shorts, Facebook shorts of women whining about needing a man than there are men doing that. Regarding the girl confronting her guy's friend...
I'm female and, being a veteran, I have a lot of male friends. One of my friends started seeing a girl and she was uncomfortable with our friendship. My friend let me know, so I arranged to meet her. I suggested we go out for lunch, just us two girls, so should could get to know me. We did and, over the course of the afternoon (we got on, so it ended up being a long lunch! 😂), I found out 2 things:
    1) She was lovely;
    2) She was insecure because her ex had cheated on her with someone he told her was his friend.
I could've told her it was her problem and not mine, but that would have been really disrespectful to my friend and would've shown no empathy to a girl taking time out to get to know me. So, instead, I suggested we find a solution until I'd earned her trust. We set up a group chat. Within a few months, she felt more secure, we all texted normally again, and I had earned a new friend.
Cut to last year and I was very proud to be a bridesmaid at their wedding 😎
Moral of the story: as a friend, it's your job to do right by your friend. If their new partner is psycho and tries to oush you out of the picture, tell them and stand firm. But if your friend really likes their new partner, find a solution (not for the partner, but because you value your friendship). And, you never know, you might end up with a new awesome friend, like I did 😊

Here’s the thing about the girl confronting her friend, she should never have put herself in that position. You tell the boyfriend you’re not comfortable with it and he needs to handle it, and if he doesn’t you walk away from both of them. She’s texting HIS phone. HE needs to be the one to tell her it’s not ok. Then the girlfriend doesn’t get her hands dirty at all, and isn’t subjected to any bullcrap the other girl is going to say.

    • @NiechoBGCSL
      @NiechoBGCSL 9 місяців тому +108

Exactly. He falls to him to address and correct the friend's behavior so his gf isn't left feeling uncomfortable or awkward. Some new gf's will be all "dump your friend". That happened, and I'd only gone out with the girl once. She wanted me to not even hang out with a friend I'd known for years; we called each other brother and sister. New girl never even met my friend and said I wasn't gonna remain friends with "my sis" if I was with her. I told her right off 1) one date isn't a relationship, 2) you don't get to tell me who my friends are, and 3) rest assured, there won't be a 2nd date. Take care!

She just wants positive internet points. Most people have met people who are autistic and not even known. Hell, many autistic women don't know until they're diagnosed in adulthood (speaking from experience). Maybe just... don't make fun of people? Whether you think they're autistic or not.

I'm genuinely confused about this one because I'm not from the US and I don't know how this works. Most places in my area either charge cover charge that includes one drink (can be soft) or require you to order at least one real drink (not water since it's free, and again, it can be a soft drink).

To be fair, water and no tip in this economy is basically wasting a bartender's time.
You aren't contributing to the bars revenue in any way yet are using the staffs time and the bars resources.
If you come in with a group of friends that's one thing as you allow them to safely order more drinks overall. However if you alone enter, order water, then just leave you A) take up one of the limited seating spaces B) create at minimum 1glass in need of cleaning and C) at least 10 minutes of staff time based on a single glass. All without providing any income to the bar or tips to the waiter.
If you don't buy at least one drink, alcoholic or not, then you are abusing a privilege.
It's also why a lot of small cafes in my area (popular walking spot for tourists) only let people use the bathroom if they make a purchase. A cafe is only required to provide toilets for customers and unless you buy something you aren't a customer. Same thing with some bars in my area as well.

BUT one chick (the wife of my husband's coworker who happened to live near to our apartment in the same complex) ASSUMED we had an open marriage (again, rumors), rarely talked to me, but had no problem flirting with my husband IN FRONT OF ME AND OUR KID. I wanted to punch her face but my husband said, "It's time for y'all to go (6 of us were playing cards at our house; my husband and I, his coworker and coworker's wife, my girl best friend and my guy best friend) because he knew I was about to tell her off (at minimum, but without telling her my guy friend was gay) and he saved her. She tried messaging me saying that I was "disgusting" 😂 (I think she was actually mad we weren't having a "good time" with her!😂) "for having such double-standards" in MY marriage. 😂 I showed my husband the message, we both blocked her, and after he had a private talk with his buddy, we never heard a peep out of her again. I'm glad I never had to worry about my friends with my man...I have great friends, and I am one, because I would NEVER make them uncomfortable with me and because it is wrong, no matter what the circumstances or rumors are!

People go to pubs to offload all the time or meet up with their drinking buddies or whatever. I took that job very seriously esp my regulars they would feel very comfortable sitting at the bar chatting away knowing they could tell me anything and they wouldn’t be the talk of the town next day. He hates coffee and tea and used to drink juice or sodas but cut those out because of the excessive sugar in them. Therefore, he only drinks water. When he was dating online, he felt stuck not being able to meet people in bars or coffee shops. He felt it would seem strange to girls online to meet up with a guy who isnt drinking at all. He felt it would seem preditory and chose to meet ppl in other places. We met at dinner and it was lovely but it is sad that people feel they can't be in a bar if they aren't drinking.

@@SaitoKat92if you’re bar isn’t full, you are NOT losing money. This is a very tired narrative.
I worked in & ran multiple very popular, typically very busy bars & restaurants over the years, and VERY rarely did the water drinkers actually affect business.
Unless they’re taking up a spot in a packed establishment, you aren’t actually affected. Period. You’re just mad someone isn’t racking up a bill. They’re not taking anything away from you, they aren’t preventing anyone who wants to come in from doing so.
You’re choosing to be irritated by someone who isn’t doing anything to you. That’s a choice.
The people that actually, REGULARLY, screw industry workers over are the ones that take up whole tables, buy ONE cheap drink, & nurse it for HOURS & HOURS as they sit there talking, completely aware & unconcerned that the place is packed and there’s a line out the door.
THOSE people have the biggest impact on business & take home.
The water drinkers, by far, are more often than not older people who are just lonely and want to still have some sort of social interaction, even if it’s just sitting and watching others socialize. EVERYTHING is expensive now, and these folks on fixed incomes just want to feel like they’re still a part of things. I have never, and will never, fault people for wanting & needing that. We are isolating these people from being able to have basic social interactions, and we see the impact with the increasing number of elderly folks suffering from severe depression.
Start looking at them as people who probably really need that interaction, & how much it means to them for just a brief interaction with you, & stop looking at it as them taking something from you - especially when that’s just not the case the vast majority of the time.
Also, if you politely bring it to their attention if you ARE packed & need their spot, and let them know there’s people patiently waiting for that spot, 9/10 they’ll move - and they often just are unaware, they’re not trying to cause issues.
More than a few times, I’ve grabbed a chair or two from a back room & put it next to wherever I’m at, and let them sit there instead, so I can free up the needed space. It doesn’t hurt me to do this.
As I said in my other comment posted in the main thread, some of the funniest & sweetest customer interactions I’ve had over the years has been with these exact people.
Stop looking at these people & assuming they’re trying to pull one over on you. If you automatically assume someone is a problem, that’s all any of these individuals are ever going to be for you, even when they’re not.

Sober queen here, and if Michelle the Bartender were based in DC, I might think she was talking about me. Most Friday nights, my BFF and I would go to our favorite bar because we liked to get dressed up, but especially because we liked TO DANCE (and occasionally flirt). Believe it or not, there's more to do at a bar than drink. I wasn't even drinking waters. I was drinking (and paying for) Red Bulls, dancing my little butt off on the dance floor with my friend (who was buying alcoholic beverages). Then I hear through a 3rd party that this specific bartender "doesn't trust" me and my friend because we don't drink and she thinks we're sneaking airplane bottles into the bathroom. He explains to her that I'm several years sober, and she says she doesn't trust people who go to bars but don't drink. Mind you, this 3rd party was a guy I started dating who was a regular there... so... even though she was married (like Michelle here)... I just think she didn't like me hanging around this guy.

They'd drink coffee all night, have me running back and forth to refill their coffees that they'd spend 75 cents on. At the end of the night they'd leave a couple dimes and some pennies on the table. I got so fed up, I just stopped waiting on them. Twenty-six cents for a whole night of running back and forth for them, having to clean up their messes, definitely not worth it. She absolutely could be acting like a shady biatch, but I commented above that my brother's ex-girlfriend acted like this and tried to ruin every female friendship and relationship with female family members that he had.
It's taken years to heal the shit that she caused.
Yes, I think she should have shown her the phone, 100%, but she looks like she's trying not to cry and just laughing instead to me.
If anything it would be manipulation, that's not gaslighting. Gaslighting is a long-term multi-step process.
I'm thinking that if girlfriend has been acting like this over everything, and every time she sees her she says "show me your phone", at some point you're going to snap and say "no what is wrong with you I'm just friends with my friend, you're the one who happens to be dating my friend".

I have several male friends, because I find I get along with guys more, and we have convos regularly, they tell me things they can't tell their gf because it's as far as it goes. @@B.Harper7I'm with you on all this. I think people who have been burned like this before are biased to automatically side with the gf who wanted to see the texts but if the other girl was friends with the bf before she became friends with the gf then probably her loyalty as a friend lies with him as it should. It was hard for me to say from that video if it looked like she was devious and up to something or if she had just had it (if this wasn't the first time she had been accused by the gf) and kinda like you said was smiling her way through it out of discomfort. Plus what if she and the bf as close friends had talked about something serious that had nothing to do with the gf? Like if the girl had talked to him about something she was going through, that isn't the gf's business. Her not wanting to show her private conversation doesn't by default mean she was up to no good.
I think a little more benefit of the doubt could've been given for this one. Especially too bc the third friend was the one filming which means if this wasn't fake it has either happened before or gf was going on for a bit before the recording started.

12:25 the idea of entering someone's life and telling them that their pre-existing platonic friendships need to change is a massive overstep imo. Sure, if they're doing stuff that makes you uncomfortable or they were literally making out and shit, that should 100% be a conversation, but I feel like the appropriate person to be having that conversation with is your partner. If you can't trust them to create boundaries with their friend, you have no business being together. Having a meeting with the friend who is being too friendly (or "friendly") with your partner and telling them to back off comes off as territorial and communicates to the other person that you view your partner/their friend as too stupid or untrustworthy to create their own boundaries, and that this is an argument you already lost with them. That starts the argument with them feeling as though your partner/their friend is positioned on the same side of the argument against you. If your partner is someone worthy of your time, it's mad disrespectful to them, and if they're not, then you're just fighting an inevitability. Whenever someone tells me their partner isn't allowed to have friends of the opposite gender, a very large part of me writes them off as controlling, jealous, and sexist.
Clearly that isn't always going to be the case, but it does show a staggering lack of trust in your partner, and I have to wonder how much they'd try to isolate their partner if they found out they were bisexual. I used to know someone like that who constantly cheated on her boyfriend but kept him on a tight leash because she was afraid that he would cheat on her.
I should also note that none of that applies to the less common bad actors that have been told to back off by your partner but won't back off without some sort of united front.
It's also worth noting this is less about the video, that's why the timestamp is placed before the conversation in the middle lol

It's still a weird way to see her mimic throughout the whole conversation.

Yeah she knows what she’s doing. I’d end the friendship all together.

@Burger_pants listen, as Charlotte has pointed out in numerous videos, *we know* when something shady been goin' down. The BF likely isn't entirely innocent, but the girl on the floor is *definitely* gaslighting.

@Burger_pants If she's not doing anything wrong ,why not let her friend check the phone?? She talks to him BEHIND her back. That is where the problem lies.

My husband's best friend is a girl and she's the greatest gift. I would never give two shits about the fact that they have private messages and phone calls, they do all the time. Also, she's a fan, so if she reads this comment, love ya bb!

11:42 If my male friend’s gf had issues with me and my male friend talking/texting/etc. I would NOT have called her insecure. I would have tried to suggest solutions to making her feel more comfortable with me. That’s the right way to go about! No fighting just love, respect, and support. At the end of the day I want my friend to be happy with his woman. Even if we have been friends longer I would not place my friendship above their relationship. That is just straight up selfish.
