The nerve of that influencer who got pissed off because they honked at her, as if the whole world should pause their life for her! Thankfully we live in an area where that stuff doesn't go in constantly, I have still experienced it though. Influencers love to do that in our downtown in certain areas, but this is Kansas, so it's usually only when people are going to or coming from Kansas City.
If she would have come up to my window like that, yelling at me cuz I ruined her video? Aw hell nah! I would have opened my door, hard and fast. She would have been fortunate I didn't get out and influence her face. She influenced me to be p'd off. What a POS.
Another “influencer” mistakenly thinking she’s the main character. It’s sad.
It would be most effective to let her makes that video. I woukd make a video about it too or just laughing and telling this funny story at my workplace.

I remember when my highschool got these big floaty-skirted princess dresses for our choir uniforms and a bunch of us spent an entire afternoon dramatically slo-mo running around the school grounds and elegantly fainting. One of my favourite memories lol
That flowing dress was everything to me! I think the girl that did the "You have to surround yourself with people who want to take pictures of you..." I think she was making fun of Kim K and her get your ass up and work, nobody wants to work anymore and then Kourtney chimed in with "That's so True".

I have a confession, I like watching influencer fails cause I despise them, constantly thinking they are the main character in every ones lives, blocking traffic, doors, inconveniencing everyone else around them, intruding on others privacy, and rude asf.

Amen! I’m over it. Hence I only watch UA-cam. No TikTok, IG, FB etc… here. Never have done it never will. It’s weird how I do manage to see some anyway as it creeps into news feeds but I think the whole thing is boring and absurd. Can you imagine how much a difference could be made in this world if they spend 10% of the time spent on their vanity projects and volunteered for the community.? I WILL absolutely ruin an 'influencer's' shot if they are in my way. I won't walk all the way around them if they're blocking the shortcut I want to take. All of them who are full of themselves cause an eye roll. They're just people, and if they're disturbing my need to get somewhere, heck yeah, I'll annoy them in return for them annoying everyone. oh YES!. That one with the "influencer" making a video blocking the guy so he misses the light angered me SO much. I would have been honking the while way. She would either have to keep redoing it or get the hell out of my way.

Some of these "influencers" were filming on the road, so dangerous and stupid. Then they blame the public for messing up their content. I'm kind of hoping influencer culture dies out soon.

Then spread them to enough people to gain validation for that effort, and it would have been much harder back in the day to make a job out of doing something like that.

So, yes, admitably in older times there would be a smaller following and a different medium, but people have been always drawn to being followers? that was my point

Influencers seem to think they are “models” and/or “famous.” Models get paid by designers or manufacturers to promote their products. They have professional teams that work the shoot. Famous is NOT someone whose entire persona exists online.

This one time i was doing a photoshoot with my friend and i had to walk in the middle of the street in a mini dress and heels in the middle of -20°C canadian winter at night, i had a big jacket over me shoulders and when the street was clear , throw the jacket, run in the street, walk backwards with a huge bloody knife and look like you got this...after a couple of shots run to the jacket shaking uncontrollably 🥶 so much fun 🤣

Lol so the purse thing actually happened to me in real life. My husband and I went fishing and my purse was occupying my camping chair, which I THOUGHT was weighty enough. A huge gust of wind came through and catapulted the chair over and my purse went overboard. My boyfriend, now husband, had put his keys to his Jeep in my purse (vehicle we drove 2.5 hours away in) so he dove overboard the pier and managed to get my purse AND the keys. I lost a couple hundred bucks as my weighty wallet with tons of coins sunk. Then because his key fob was wet, the Jeep wouldn’t start also in part because of the kill switch with his alarm system. He’s soooo mad because we needed to leave for us to get back to work the next day and Best Buy customer service (Geek Squad; who installed the alarm system) was taking FOREVER to get to speak with someone of intelligence….someone had complained to the bait shop/convenience store that he was committing DV against me. 100% not true. I’m sitting on a piece of driftwood while he’s animated on the phone, just waiting to figure out how we’re going to drive back home. The shop owner comes out and asks me if I’m okay. Confused, chill AF scrolling through fb I’m like, “yeaaahhh… why….?” Then they tell me of the comment a patron had made. I mean, I’m grateful someone was looking out for my well being but that was so far from the truth of what transpired. The shop owner thought I was being disingenuous at first until I started laughing. Fun times!

Whenever I hear the word "Influencer" I kinda throw up in my mouth a little. I know there are decent ones but they're mostly...well...vomit inducing. I live for Charlotte's videos taking them down a few notches. The slow motion princess in this one though is one of the ones I can't get mad at.
Right? I'm certainly not "influenced" by them, as my lifestyle is very different. Now, if they want to tell me how to best prepare meals using "survival" foods, or show me how to get my off-grid solar inverter to work at maximum efficiency, I'm all ears!

This is always how I travel, hood up. Don’t talk to me. The airport is so awful, and being crammed into an aluminum tube with strangers is awful. I just want to get where I’m going and don’t care what I look like.

Took my Spritelings to the Bellagio gardens and it was Slammed. There were obvious Instagramers and then 'gasp' tourists. But this fabulously gorgeous woman would snap pictures for people in line so she could jump in when no one was there. She was amazing. The twenty year old acting like a hag that shoved my kid by the yellow display..... I'm NOT the one that put chewed gum in your purse. 😘

I have had the worst day, my 9 month old kitten is at the vet with an infection undergoing a million and one tests, drips, sedation etc. and iv been inconsolable! Bikini-clad influencer at the cold pool in Mexico : that water looked murky af - wouldn’t trust that water to be clean and properly treated for swimming !
My aunt lived in London and for decades sent gifts that she had sewn Harrod’s labels on/in them, in Harrod’s bags but they would be things she bought in charity shops or in India really cheaply. Things like souvenir towels and handkerchief-keepers.
The fact is that we didn’t care that they were supposed to have been bought at Harrod’s. We would have been thrilled with a gift she bought in India.
When some jerk is filming himself at the gym taking up walking space, I have absolutely no hesitation in walking in front of his camera to get to a piece of equipment.

I know it must be a ton of work putting out videos daily and even with the best Production team.... it's still a tremendous amount to work on. I love all of the funny faces or when you bust out in song in 5 different voices! You continue to make so many people laugh, gawk or choke on their drinks/food. Keep it up.... I don't think you know how much this helps your viewers see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Those pop-up changing things are super common with dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts, etc. There are a lot of girls in one area needing instant costume changes around each other in a large space during competitions.

Your story about Boris perfectly encapsulates what I wish for the world - that Queer culture is normal and respected, but still a little fringe and unexpected. It wouldn't be fun if _everyone_ was always making gay drinks but it is fun when it's unusual. Also having enough distance from pain where we can laugh at ourselves because pink and flowers is pretty stereotypical but yanno, also true.
I am not old but I am so happy that I am too old for these kind of things and that the whole being a or looking like a topmodel shit came up when I was out of puberty. I think it is so bad to give girls the feeling that beauty and content is all that matters.

re cactus spines: There are at least 2 kinds of spines. Long spines usually don't have fishhook backward spines. They just stab you and possibly inject a little extremely irritating sap. It's the little ones around their base that you absolutely must avoid- usually on Prickly Pear and others. They are much smaller than a human hair, release from the cactus with only a touch, and have backward spines and unless promptly cut out with hypo needles or sharp tweezers, will burrow in with every movement.
