Absolutely stunning and inspiring gardens. I live in Texas, within the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex. I've been watching your videos for inspiration and suggestions for landscaping my full sun front yard. I'm learning so much and would love a low maintenance colorful garden....... Any suggestions are welcomed!! 🤗
Great video!! Love to see all the different houses and gardens! Quebec Canada was represented. That's my neck of the woods.I see these small bungalows all the time in the small towns through out Quebec. They did a lovely job with their plantings!
We too have a faded yellow color on our home, it was the color of my husband’s favorite shirt with a dark blue-black shutters. This video has given me so many ideas and inspiration! In the summer of 2019 my husband and I took a road trip from Central NY to Acadia National Park in Maine and on to Prince Edward Island! It was amazing! If you get an opportunity check out Aiken House and Garden blog! The homes and landscape of PEI are so picturesque, as well as all the beautiful Anne of Green Gables spots! I hope that you get an opportunity to go there! We would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks looking forward to putting some more unique touches to my own front yard this summer!
We went to PEI a number of decades ago soon after the series on "Anne" was shown on TV took our teenage daughter and her friend. The whole island is fantastic and unique and beautiful, of course we went in the Summer and had to take a ferry overnight to Nova Scotia drive across that island for 6 plus hours then a smaller ferry to PEI. Would love to do it again. We stayed in a little cabin that was south facing right on the ocean and cornfield practically up to the back door. You have to go. The people were so friendly.
Such beauty to be shared. I love your enthusiasm and your encouraging words. You could be a motivational speaker. Well really you are. You motivate us each and every day with your talents and love of gardening. You are such a treasure to the gardening world. My favorite response to someone who asks me a gardening question is 'Oh, have you seen Laura and Aaron on Garden Answer?'
Yeah! You showed my front flowerbeds (18:20) in Quebec! I did not think it would happen since it’s a small house ... When my son offered to redo the front, put in pavers, steps etc. It was time to put new flowerbeds, that was 3 years ago. Thank you so much for encouraging me through the years! I live with chronic pain (migraines) and gardening has been so therapeutic for me. You have inspired and taught me so much! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion! (I’m 57 and giggling like a little girl, I had to wake up my husband🤗)
I thought your front beds were beautiful. You don't need a huge house and garden for it to be a beautiful garden! Well done, I can imagine you were delighted seeing it pop up in the video. :-)
What a kick to open your newest video, and see our garden was one of the home gardens chosen to be featured today. It’s been really fun to see all the beautiful and creative labors of love from your subscribers! I have fulfilled two thrilling experiences all within a month! # 1, visiting Andrews Seed last month ( got one of the beautiful hellebores) and being included in a Garden Answer video! 😊
I think it would be really cool if you did a series where subscribers sent you photos of their yards and where they are and you gave us some tips on what you would do with the space!
I live in New Brunswick, Canada and Lupins are everywhere. Generations of people have planted Lupins at the edge of our driveways for the bees. Stores, restaurants and sightseeing gift shops sell seeds at their checkouts and encourage sprinkling them on your travels. Our East Coast highways are full of them.
Hi Neighbour....I too live in eastern Canada, Nova Scotia. and Yes, Lupins are EVERYWHERE...grow wild along roadsides and in fields. Laura - you and Aaron and the kids will definitely have to visit our neck of the woods some day and feast on all our natural beauty. :)
I live on Vancouver Island and we also see lupins growing along the highway! Originally from Manitoba where I struggled to keep them going, blew my mind to see that. Just gorgeous!
Incredible videos!! Come here to Prince Edward Island in June to see lupines and wild phlox along the ditches in so many colors. I believe they like damp acidic soil!
Thank you Laura, Aaron, all submissions, and this wonderful community. I was nervously awaiting surgery and watched this video to calm myself. Seeing all the beauty and support we have for each other distracted me. I am so thankful
I'm always so excited when i get a notification for one of your videos. I live in a zone 11 (Zambia, in Southern Africa) so completely different weather pattern. I've been following your channel for about 2 years now and you have absolutely changed my life! Your passion and kind spirit have woken up a love for gardening in me that I didn't know was there. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden and family with us ❤
I’m so new to gardening we moved into our new home back in august if 2021 an I’ve taken pictures of my yard an have multiple lay out ideas.. I think cost is my biggest issue because plants seem so expensive I hope I can make it look nice on a tight budget.. I did find two overgrown small flower beds ab paver walkway that I’ll be turning into a patio for my gazebo
Would be very happy to see inspirational yards for warm zones. We love your ideas and have adapted as many as possible as we are in a zone 10b. Thanks for all the great advice!
I loved this video ….my love of lupines can also be traced to PEI I am a huge fan of Anne of Green Gables and for years wanted to visit so several yrs ago I dragged to friends to celebrate a milestone birthday….it truly is a magical place. Fields of lupines, red clay, and potatoes along with ponds with Lilly pads and the beautiful ocean..which I swam in in June because part of the island sits in the Gulf Stream and the water is warm. Go go go! You will fall for this enchanted place
I just like listening to Laura and her compliments of each house’s landscaping and plant/flower choice. If she could oooh and aaaaah over my house, it would make my day….my week for sure!
I love seeing these photos! Everyone has such beautiful gardens. So much inspiration to start the day! Thank you all for sharing! 💖 And after watching this video, Laura, I just love your excitement and enthusiasm for every single photo! It just shows your true passion for all things beautiful!
Wow, everyone's yard looks amazing. Makes my yards look like 🥴. Lol. Hopefully, one day mine will be as pretty. It's a slow process due to various reasons, but it's coming along.
🌸Good morning Laura and all GA friends. My admiration to all the gardeners and home owners who beautify their spaces and spread so much delight and happiness in their neighborhoods. Even the simplest container with one bloom has the ability to spread cheer. Fantastic work by all! Thank you, Laura, and homeowners. Have a blessed day☕️🌼💚💛💚
My aunt who lives not too far from you in central Oregon had struggled with Lupin too. She said she stopped trying to grow hybrid varieties and planted a heirloom variety seeds and they have preformed so much better and come back for a few years now. It might be worth a try for you!
Lupine House and last "Star" home goes to show that one color/plant choice can be just as beautiful as the wonderfully riotous colors of other homes. All so creative and personal! Loved seeing all in this video!
Good morning GA Family! Bravo Aaron’s Sister you prepared the best of the best choices for us to admire and draw great inspiration from. You did such a good job please keep up the hard work:)
The house with hostas mixed with other things all down the side of the driveway is SO illustrative of the fickleness of deer. I know, Hillsborough NJ is over run with deer. Hostas and tulips are deer candy, yet we saw people who had both planted out in the open in their front yards. While at the houses right next door, they were always eaten to the ground. I love these videos by the way. . So much nicer than the houses typically on garden tours, that always seem to be done and maintained by huge landscaping firms.
I love all these Front Yard Gardens!! Absolutely gorgeous!! Congratulations to all who sent in pictures, they have truly given me inspiration!! 🥰❤💚🌸🌲🌳🌿
I hope you continue to keep sharing all of the before and after's, I love seeing all of the transformations on all different lot sizes! I myself have been watching you for some years and have gotten a green thumb because of you and have transformed our yard. I now see inspiration everywhere! I live in Maine, Zone 5b, and would love to submit my own photos at the end of the growing year! Thanks for all you do!
I love what people do with their properties. I did submit this year but after seeing what can be accomplished, I have been inspired. I would love for you to do this again next year. I'LL BE READY!!!!
I to am from Westport Mass and I enjoy your videos so much. We still have snow on the ground but when we get a warm day I’m out there Getting things cleaned up. So grateful for having found your videos.
Love the video. Since I started watching your videos, I have fallen in love with Proven Winner plants. I used to mostly buy Monrovia but think PW has better growing plants.
A wonderful way to start my day. All of these pictures from around the USA are just grand to see, and how everyone has their own way and style of things. Thank you everyone, from everywhere. Beautiful !!!!!
How amny people have to watch this at least 2 times. One time to watch Laura's reactions as she just adores everything she see's. Then to actually look at the pictures. To all who have sent pictures in--YOU ALL ARE SO BLESSED WITH A GIFT. I can't even get supertunia bubblegum to live. Thank you so much for sharing
Such a treat to see all the different zones, styles, and designs. Everyone working within the confines of their own esthetic and climate. I’m always interested to see things that are native and natural added in. I’ve never had a lot of luck with lupines, but if the conditions are right ( even harsh sometimes) they are indescruptible. They were among the first plants to come back in the ashes of Mount St. Helens.
i love the personalities of each home!! isn't this amazing? honestly, aren't gardeners just the best, lol? so much artistic creativity and beautiful combinations... just lovely!! thanks to everyone who submitted!! a garden in the front, YES.. (why haven't i thought of that!) 🙂 ❤ thanks for the video!! 🙂 ❤
Love seeing all of the beautiful homes and gardens. The yellow traditional home with black shutters is absolutely my favorite. Oh so great to see this!!!
Great video, loved all the submissions! So beautiful! Can you do a video on Arbors, trellises, Pagodas, obelisks, vertical growing with climbing vines. I think that would be so beautiful and inspirational. Thank you for putting together these kinds of videos.
I have a yellow house with black shutters and have been stomped for years as to what color flowers to use. I always stayed with white or purple/blue flowers because I thought it was safe. This video gave me amazing options. Thank you for showcasing houses along with different types of landscapes. Me and my yellow house thank you!
you are not missing out without crepe myrtles... they do not die!!! you could literally dynamite the ground and they will always come back. Currently on year 3 of fighting some on my walkway that are too near the house.
Laura, we were so in love with Anne of Green Gables that we took our senior daughters to PEI for their senior trip. It was glorious!! YES, you do need to go!! Beautiful lupines were growing wild on both sides of the road where we walked to the beach!! It was one of the best weeks of our lives.
Love these types of videos, so nice to wake up to on my birthday. As I general rule, I try to wait till today to start my seeds. Can’t wait to visit the garden center!
Laura, I just can’t keep quite. You love those pale yellow houses. I hope you will consider painting the flower shed like that. Your reaction was so strong. Since you may not be able to have window boxes perhaps an arbor around the front door with of course something beautiful growing on it. Love your channel thank you for all your hard work.
@Garden Answer You might consider doing a video with submissions of what folks have done to dress up their street mailboxes? Seeing something that could grow in succession around them would give multi-season 'pizzaz' to the entry of one's property! 🌾🌷🌸🌺🌱
The very last submission is intriguing to me; the garden is quite beautiful. Having the solar panels on the roof indicates that this house is likely energy sufficient. Would you consider installing solar panels on your property, Aaron and Laura? Thank you all for sharing your masterpieces and being inspirational to many.
There's no solar panels. Lol Its terracotta shingles. * I had to go back and look. I dont know how I missed that last cute little house! And yes, I see the solar panels! I love the porch makeover too. The last one is probably my favorite of all. 😊
I got a kick out of this video. You got as giddy as most of us do when we see what You and Aaron do. This is awesome. Lovely yards...so appreciative of the work people do.
I love the one that also sent the photo in the snow. That’s what I looked for this season in our winter, how does my garden still look in winter and how to add structure plants. I love these kinds of videos and seeing what others plant, helps to give me ideas for my own garden areas. Thank you for sharing.
Good morning from Toronto Canada's, love all your very informative and entertaining videos, you encouraged me to try out new beautiful plants I've never even known existed 😀
I may have enjoyed you talking about all of the other things in the pictures more than the gardens! 😅😅😅 I'm definitely a "What's that in the background?" kind of girl! 🤭😁
These videos are really coming at a perfect time for me. Ive just fallen in love last season with flowers and bulbs. I am practical to a fault and have only ever grown medicinals and edibles. This year ive got thousands of bulbs, wildflowers and bee attractors. Unfortunately my brain just cant imagine design. I struggle with the "artistic view" on any design front. Ive got about 5 acres to the front of the property and these 2 videos have really given me inspiration!!❤ (NEK VT)
If you don't have the book Miss Rumphius for your children, I highly recommend it. The lupin house reminded me of it. She reminds me of you, making the world more beautiful. Love your channel.
Such inspirations. I'm jealous as I live in a flat. No balcony either. Have a few indoor plants but they struggle as I'm directly under the tin roof and we literally cook. Thanks for sharing your love of gardening with us. Hugs from Johannesburg south Africa
Loved this and what a beautiful respite for the eyes and soul with what we've been seeing in Europe. Such beauty and solace in these gardens. Thanks to everyone who submitted. They are all gorgeous. I am surprised there aren't more submissions from New Mexico, Colorado, Texas panhandle or high plains area. Our weather is so similar to Laura's high desert. It's a difficult area to garden in but when we can find the right plants (thanks to Laura) we can go to town until the wind, hail storms and whatever other weather phenomenon occurs. Thanks for sharing these, Laura. Your sis did a great job of organizing these homes into a beautiful garden tour!❤️🙂🌱 💙💛🇺🇦Prayers for Ukraine!🇺🇦💛💙
A fun series idea would be if people send in pictures of areas they need help on, and Laura can help redesign them then we get an update video in a year!
Some else suggested that and she addressed it in a highlights video. She said they didn’t think they’d ever do that because there are too many variables.
What a lovely video! I was having a down day & opened my YT for my daily dose of peace & happiness and BAM! Front yard gardens.. love all of them & it truly put a smile on my face! Thank you to everyone who submitted. Super inspiring! 😊♥️
I started watching your video's a yr ago and boy did I learn a lot from u, we bought a 1900 century home ans started our landscape from scatch doing everything ourselves, it is truly my zen place. Thank-you for all your guidance. Carole
Hey hey to all my NJ ladies 💗.
These make my so jealous!! And motivated!
Lol I love how you correctly assumed we all want to go to Prince Edward Island because of Anne girl. Yep! 🌸
The black cat on the walkway was the winner for me :p. I really enjoyed this video!! Thank you
All the gardens give so many ideas!

@@jenevans9004 likewise addicted... have a great end of winter... spring should be amazing
Gorgeous gardens everyone!
Thank you for these awesome videos! It would be great if you added labels to each plant as you’re identifying them so we know which is which!
they all look great thanks for suring guys
Gorgeous and so many ideas
That was fantastic. Would like to see one in zone 9

These are terrific and so fun seeing them! Suggest next time you do some cooler zones (3 and 4) instead of all the 6 and above! 🙂

Wish you had more submissions from southern climates.
oh my word, the lupine house! I'd love to know how Anne would have described it 😍
Wow, everyone's yard looks amazing. Makes my yards look like 🥴. Lol. Hopefully, one day mine will be as pretty. It's a slow process due to various reasons, but it's coming along.
Love These ! Keep doing them !

Don't know if you have done this yet but would you do one of these shows for planting on slopes - front or backyards...Thanks!
Beautiful gardens..
This was an awesome video. Congrats to all! Good job
Thanks to everyone for their submissions. It is so interesting to see the different personalities each garden has.
My aunt who lives not too far from you in central Oregon had struggled with Lupin too. She said she stopped trying to grow hybrid varieties and planted a heirloom variety seeds and they have preformed so much better and come back for a few years now. It might be worth a try for you!

Such a treat to see all the different zones, styles, and designs. Everyone working within the confines of their own esthetic and climate. Great video, loved all the submissions! So beautiful!
Can you do a video on Arbors, trellises, Pagodas, obelisks, vertical growing with climbing vines. I think that would be so beautiful and inspirational.

If you don't have the book Miss Rumphius for your children, I highly recommend it. The lupin house reminded me of it. She reminds me of you, making the world more beautiful. Love your channel.
I was so excited when I saw it was another front yard video!
Good morning ☀️
FYI-Lupin grows wild in PEI! Can’t grow them either, so I feel your pain. And, GO there on vacation!! We did and I highly recommend it!
Such inspirations. I'm jealous as I live in a flat. No balcony either. Have a few indoor plants but they struggle as I'm directly under the tin roof and we literally cook. Thanks for sharing your love of gardening with us. Hugs from Johannesburg south Africa
Maybe Laura could do one of small spaces like patios or balconies - that would inspire many people who live in tight areas
Your sis did a great job of organizing these homes into a beautiful garden tour!❤️🙂🌱
💙💛🇺🇦Prayers for Ukraine!🇺🇦💛💙
Thank you to everyone who shared. There is so much inspiration here.
A fun series idea would be if people send in pictures of areas they need help on, and Laura can help redesign them then we get an update video in a year!
Some else suggested that and she addressed it in a highlights video. She said they didn’t think they’d ever do that because there are too many variables.
She has said that she hated doing landscape design for others when she worked at the garden center.
I see the other 2 answers here but the first thought that came to me was 'no time!' ...
I think you have to realize that she’s quite busy. And doing garden design very time-consuming. These videos she isn’t selecting them.
These are amazing!
Would you ever be able to do an episode on rental gardens/balconies?
Yes! And Potager (did I spell the correctly?) style gardens
Lots of beautiful front yard gardens , it’s always great to see people’s personality thru their garden, beautiful photos ❤️🪴🌸🌻
Carole
So much inspiration! I'd LOVE to see a video of Florida landscape, it's such a hard climate to do, ESPECIALLY if you don't like the tropical look.
These are so fun to see! Thank you to everyone who sent in submissions! My favorite is seeing the before and after shots!
I love seeing these. Not so much for inspiration, more for just how beautiful they are.❄️💚🙃
