Parchie is still currently being marketed as suitable for baths and swimming despite only having a water resistance rating of 30 meters. I need to emphasize, DO NOT let your kids take this watch swimming or bathing. 30 meters is just water-resistant enough for handwashing and occasional splashes.
Fantastic vid…Appreciate you including the itchiness of the strap!
Thank you so much! I'm sure children would be extra sensitive to itchiness. Good thing there are affordable alternatives in silicone/nylon. 😁
Great video and I was surprised to hear that Cara was going to release kids watches. I’m glad she’s focusing on a very niche market and looking forward to seeing what else she’s got lined up. Keep up the great work Eve 👍🏼
Thanks so much Miguel! When I was looking for a proper kid's watch a few months ago, I realized it was tough to find a nice one. I guess kids watches really is an underserved market.
Cool review, Eve. Cheers!
Salamat Levi! 😁😁😁
I like them. Great intro to get kids to tell the time and teach them it’s importance.
I definitely agree, grown ups need to teach kids about time and being on-time. 😁 And of course, how to read time!
They should make the bezel rotate, it would be a good fidget toy for kids.
I think if it did, it'll make the whole thing about how to tell time more confusing. 😅 Imagine the bezel is in the wrong position and someone learning how to tell time gets all confused. 😂
Very cool watch for kids, fantastic and ya never see much in the way of kids watches on channels do good on ya for highlighting a watch like this!
Thank you so much Chris! Most of the kids watches on UA-cam are smart watches. Hopefully, people would be interested in watching traditional watches videos for kids. :)
Great vid. Very well done.
Thank you very much! 😁
My first watch when I was very young I had an aluminium but good quality Disney micky mouse watch, then I had a Simpson watch when I was a little older, the strap was itchy, maybe they are somewhere not sure.
My first big boy watch was when I was around 10 and it was an Avia mariner, I still have it but it barely fits and scratched up very badly. I'm trying to think of a way to change the bracelet or put a strap on it but the way it's made I don't think I can.
When I was 16 I was given a nice quarts tissot with a sapphire crystal, explorer kind of style watch. I really loved that watch but I lost it otr it got stolen when I had to go to hospital while in Thailand on a layover flight :(
I think its very important to teach children how to tell the time with an analogue watch 50 dollars is a little steep for a first kids watch and maybe a velcro strap would be better.
I have met a few adults who can't tell the time properly with an analogue watch.
If I ever have a young child I would probably give them a GPS watch that has a call function but make the time display analogue only and maybe give them a standard children's quartz watch as well.
Kids loose stuff all the time so if you have a little kid it's important to know where they are and that you can contact them any time and they can contact you and it's strapped to them so they don't forget it.
Its important to start kids off with a good habit like wearing a watch and being able to tell the time.
I agree, being able to read time is a good skill. Also by being able to read the time, they can be conscious of being "on-time" by themselves without having to be bugged by a parent.
On the Avia Mariner, does it have a irregular lugs?
These are fun watches, a great way to get kids to enjoy wearing watches. Great job on tho video 😊👍
Yeah! They're pretty cool. 😁 Thank you so much Omar!
Thank you for the review. I ended up getting watches for my little girl and twin boys. I’ve noticed the straps have stated to fray. In your video you mentioned finding silicon and nato straps. Can you say where you found them? I’ve looked around but haven’t been able to find 14mm.
I put aliexpress affiliate links in the description in this video for the straps in 14mm silicone straps and nylon straps 😄
That’s a really cute kids watch! I am gonna show my niece and see if she’d be interested in one. I like that it has the Velcro strap and seems constructed well to hold up to kids activities. The watch nerd in me wishes they had an option with 100M WR, and maybe the Seiko VH64 for the impression of a sweeping hand movement but that is battery powered. Great vid, Eve! 😎👍
Thanks Dave! The velcro strap is a little itchy though but I know her uncle will be able to help her get a 14mm aftermarket strap easily if she wants to switch things up! How old is your niece? :) Glad to see you back on UA-cam!
@@AliasEveWatches thanks! She is 11 so she may be interested in a different style but she might like them too so I’ll have to see her face and gauge from that lol.
@@DavidSchwartzjr I'm interested know how she'll react! 😄
Nice piece for the kids. I understand your concern about the Velcro. There are better grades of Velcro that could have been used for comfort at that price point. Today, $50 isn't that bad. Back in '73 at age 11, my Dad bought me a Seiko automatic for $40. I still have it and wear it periodically. Last year I had it fully serviced ($200+). However, I did not replace the original crystal nor have the case polished as I don't want its life story lost.
Cost is relative to whether you're thinking short or long term while taking build & appeal into consideration.
Wow! $200 for a service! 💔💔💔
@@AliasEveWatches It was worth every penny.
Ever see a video of a Rolex completely disassembled, laid out neatly with each component of the movement being cleaned, restored or replaced as needed? Complete restorations are pricey & that's what I had done.
This 49 year old $40 Seiko automatic now keeps time as well as my $2,000 Oris ProPilot GMT. Better yet, it has a life story to tell & will be fully functional when passed down to the next generation or two.
Very cool watch and great watches to get young kids into watches so I'm all about that. Good video.
Thanks for watching Steve! Got any kids in your life that need watches?
@@AliasEveWatches Not yet niece 1😜
This is cute, though I suspect my younger friends and family would prefer a lightweight Casio. This might also be a tiny bit too large for children under 10, which is who I would hope to give something with these fun colors to.
Thanks for watching Sean! If you're looking into a Casio, I recommend the LRW200-H. It's also 32mm case diameter (unfortunately, similar size) but it's lightweight and the bezel rotates! Hopefully your younger friends will like them. I got the pink one for my niece. In a few weeks I'll be doing a review on the SKMEI copy of the Casio so watch out for that one.
P.S. My niece (in the thumbnail) is 8 years old and 32mm seems to fit her well. :)
Never heard of this brand. My daughter’s first watch had to be the Casio F-91W. 😉 Cute watch and good review.
Thank you! This is pretty new, it came out mid-2021.
F91W is a great choice for Madison! Is it the pink one?
@@AliasEveWatches 👍
I think those are nice watches, if a touch expensive. My issue, and maybe this is only something I have to deal with, is that my girls don't like "kids" products. They would want the "real" thing (products that look like adult products), only in a more appropriate size. I specifically had this problem with getting a watch for my older daughter, and that is why we ended up going with smaller Timex watches for her. So, my kids would never wear a watch that so obviously looks like it was designed specifically for kids.
That's pretty nice, because they'll get more use of it as they grow up! Practical, come to think of it. 😄 I think this Parchie is more for attracting kids taste to get them into watches so if this isn't their preference, the smaller Timex is a great choice.
I don’t mind buying for baby Bella people lose millions and millions of dollars in Casino here in Vegas so $50 dollars is a steal Eve and great review !
That's a great way to look at it! Baby Bella is one lucky little lady!
Itchy straps are trendy... This company knows what it's doing following the trends...
😅😅😅
Nice vid, Eve, thank you. 👍🙂 Don't think I have any relatives I could get this watch for: they're either into their teens or toddlers.
That's alright, thank you still for watching the video! 😄
@@AliasEveWatches 🙂🙂🙂
Can you change the battery in this watch?
I haven't tried it myself but I think yes
Your wrist is bigger than mine!
What's your wrist size?
@@AliasEveWatches 6.0" :)
Its to expensive for me. My own watch is 6$
There are plenty of nice watches too at a lower price point. Plus, this might be a bit too young for you. 😅
