@@connorsgarage4312just installed the camera following your way but a little bit different. I fish wired twice, one from the trunk, one from the hole of license plate light. Then pull the wire of RVC into the trunk. Now I need to wait for sale of Sony head unit then wiring
so you would recommend running the wires through on the opposite (drivers) side for a left side driver? or it it ok for the wires to go through the passenger side

Actually there is rear view camera implemented into the license plate light and it’s neat and easier to mount
