It's kind of funny that rosé sauce became popular right now considering that in Italy it was the most popular during the '80s/'90s and nowadays it almost completely disappeared! Anyway, always loving your recipes. From an Italian who learned Korean cooking mostly from your channel to the point I conquered a Korean girl's heart cooking her Korean food! ❤️
THANK YOU so much. My wife loves tteokbokki but all the ones in the store are too hot for her now her hot stomach has been quitting on her so I have to tone it down. I really love that this can be made fresh without so many preservatives and salt as well. I am so excited to try this one. I have your cookbook and one from Aaron and Claire so now I can make almost anything. My neighbors are from Korea and they always wonder how does a large white man in Minnesota know how to make all the foods they had a children. I always tell them the same, "Ancient Chinese Secret"! I love all your videos and am so happy to have you here, Steven
I know i am late, but i cannot thank you enough and words cannot explain how you made my childhood! Me and my mom used to cook your recipes and enjoy every single bite of it. Our favorite was your shrimp pancake video, especially mine. I love you maangchi! Thank you for being my childhood❤
This is so good! My husband is usually not a fan of tteokbokki, but this time he said "it's very yummy" for three times during our dinner time today!! Thank you Maangchi for this recipe ❤
When i was young me and my mom used to watch your videos all the time and i just found your videos again and all those memories came back! Thank you so much for being the source of fun times in the kitchen with my mother ❤
I just purchased some rice cakes from the Korean grocery store to make traditional tteokbokki, but now I’ll make this instead! I’d been interested in trying something new with them. Thanks for sharing another great recipe, Maangchi!! 😊
Oh my god I'm so happy you did one of these! My father (italian) loves rose tteokbokki and I've yet to find a recipe I've REALLY loved for it. Can't WAIT to try this!!!
I just did it exactly as in your recipe and I can say chapeau bas, it's delicious. I've been in one korean restaurant where they served Rose Tteokbokki and it just tastes like the one in your recipe! I love it.
I just made this last night and my youngest girl said "hmmm... it is very good!" (She is usually very fussy with her food). I was surprised how well it turned out too. Thank you for the recipe ❤
When i discovered your tteokbokki recipe, it was one of our family's favs. Most of my kids were younger, so i would add cream to theirs so it wouldn't be too spicy. Fast forward a couple of years and mukbangers were getting rose tteokbokki. No doubt ppl were doing this long b4 us, but it was funny when it became a 'thing' because it was old news for us 😊. So me, hubby and oldest still prefer the original, but our youngest get a splash of cream and grated cheese
I just made this and it turned out great! With lots of delicious cheese 🥰 Thank you Maangchi~ Your channel is such a help! I lived in Korea for 1 year and I Loved the food, its amazing to be able to make it at home and still enjoy it ❤🍛
Haha, this brings back memories of a meetup I had in Singapore. We organized a potluck gathering, and during the event, a few girls jokingly exclaimed, "We love Korean men!" I asked, "What makes Korean men so appealing?" Their response was, "They're tall... and handsome." Teasingly, I said, "So, does that mean Singaporean men are short and unattractive?" We all shared a hearty laugh at that. Here's a link to a photo from the meetup: www.maangchi.com/photo/interesting/picnic-with-my-singapore-readers]
@@erlagurun8239 I add it broken up into the tteokbokki sauce during the last min of cooking. I also use white American cheese on top (because it goes so well with kimchi which I eat on the side). It’s like a broccoli and cheese situation.
I seen someone on TikTok from Korea making Dakbokkeumtang with that same sauce she made it traditionally BUT added heavy cream and I made it it was delicious it’s amazing with noodles
I watched you for years when I was in Vietnam, then I moved to US, I couldnt find some of the ingredients for your recipe. Now guess where Im at 😂. Yes I move to South Korea. I finally find every korean ingredient I can possibly find lol. Korean restaurants never put enough meat in their dish so I go back to your videos to make it at home.
Each time i see you, your dishes look amazing thank you! i thought i would look back 7 years to the time i subscribed and realised... you are aging backwards.
I need to try this! I tried cooking tteokbokki once before, and although i like the rich flavor of fish cakes, I hate the texture - so this is a fun alternative! 😍
Oh I hope you make mala cream, or korean chicken cream pasta Auntie! I love those 2 and this rosé one. All these years watching you, it's comforting to see you still using the same knife after all these years. You have done wonders in opening up my world to your marvelous food. 1 Korean dish I ever made was from your channel - your famous kimchi. Over a decade later I'm still making your kimchi, and I have made so many of your other dishes. Everyone is always so impressed, I tell them go to UA-cam and check out Auntie Maangchi❤
SPOOKY! I had rose tteokbokki twice this week (made too much) and I hadn't eaten it in ages. Maangchi can read minds I think. Well, time for my third serving I guess!
It looks so good and yummy, do you mind to teach me non spicy one? Because I really want to make it for my kids🙏🙏🙏

@@michellebatzel5809 what is your problem? I was just sharing something curious about that. Chill.
I had no idea rose sauce came from Italian cuisine. It’s one cuisine I really need to learn more of. I assume their red does not come from gochujang 😂

Wow, the ultimate tteokbokki makeover, from spicy street food to creamy concoctions… Talk about a tteokbokki glow up!

yum! I ❤ tteokbokki! Best texture EVER! & with that rose sauce, it has to be a winner!
Yes! Finally!
Thanks for the recipe. I can’t eat fish or seafood anymore, so I am glad to find a tteokbokki recipe that doesn’t need anchovy broth
You can replace broth like that for bone or vegetable broth.
It's gravy was thick and creamy. It' another creative way of cooking tteokbokki!😋
i've been following your recipes ever since i saw your dumplings and my whole family liked it thank you
my mouth was watering the whole time when it all came together, this looks amazing!!! 🤤
I cannot wait to make this. The recipe is so easy to follow and I have all the ingredients!

Learning how to cook this coz my invisible korean husband wanted to eat tteokbokki the other day in the dream I had last night 😊

I love Rose Tteokbokki but i usually use crabsticks instead of sausage and bacon, and add a bit of fishsauce.
Cannot wait to try, Maangchi. If anyone visits Seoul, Cow Tteokbokki , next to Ewha Womans
University, is well worth checking out.
thank you for sharing looks so yummy spicy 👍good for weekend menu 🤣🤣✌🏻✌🏻
I'm going to try this, but make it with plant-based milk and cream since I'm allergic to cow's milk. Looks so good! Thank you, Maangchi!
I’m totally making this!
I'm making this right now for the first time. I had to use hot dog, cut in to pieces, instead of mini sausages. It smells great so far 😊
Update: my wife loved it. Thank you for the recipe!
One of my favorite fusion foods. It’s so good with broccoli. It’s kind of what broccoli was made for… to someday go into a rose tteokboki.
Do you have it on the side or do you cook it with ?
