Yeah I need my hair to be soaking wet. Damp styling is a nightmare, immediate frizz and the hair knots up really bad in the following days.

      Same for me.

I definitely need soaking wet hair for my curls to clump the way I want them to

After applying products to my low po hair damp for 3 years, this year I decided to apply products on soaking wet hair. Huge difference. Wet styling keeps the moisture in low porosity hair longer. I'm not concerned about volume now. Moisture for me now. 😊

I can only style my low porosity hair while it’s soaking wet, it gives me the best definition and my wash and go last longer for sure. Beautiful results love, there wasn’t a huge difference but I definitely like the soaking wet side better.

I style my hair soaking wet. Before I get out of the shower, I place a shower cap on my dripping we hair to keep the moisture in. When I am ready to style my hair, I take out small section out at a time from under the shower cap. It keeps my hair damp and I don’t have to spritz it with more water.

I have low to normal porosity & soaking wet (warm water) hair is definitely needed for more definition!
You can definitely tell which side you did soaking wet vs damp. Both sides look great but the style lasts longer with more definition (wet).. ESPECIALLY with heavier gels like Wetline or Eco..
And it's best to add MORE WATER not more product to style!
    Great video as always 😊

My daughter has the same type of hair an she has low porosity as well. Her hair does great wet for wash an go’s but when styled for more length I get it blow dried then styled to be twisted or braided an it lasts for about four weeks.

You gave me an idea about which section of my hair I need to be starting with. I always do the left then the right side but they neveeerrrr come out the same. I thought it was texture and I just play it off by moving my bangs or part as needed. But maybe I'll try doing the back half from soaking wet & then front half from damp. I'm taking into consideration the weird lengths I have going on plus the way my hair coils (or doesn't coil) in the front vs the back. This could be a new thing for me. Thank you for sharing your observations.

Both look good. For me it depends on how I feel, how long I have to dry it, or what my next few days look like. Anyhow, they look a little different but both nice 🙂

Girl same, lol frizz life is my life as well. I done tried wetline gel, eco styler, carols daughters gel and curls gel and still get frizz.

    • @curlelia
      @curlelia  4 роки тому +1

no way! both of them still give you frizz? have you applied them on super soaking wet hair? I mean they still give me a bit of frizz too, but probably safe me from majority of frizz if anything!

Curlelia all frizz to where when it dry some areas look a tad bit stringy but nothing too crazy lol. I try to rewet my hair with warm water while out the shower but i don’t think it works for me. I’m going to try to do my whole wash n go routine in the shower with gel and all and see how it comes out.

Both sides look pretty much the same. Just the soaking wet side are slightly defined curls.

My products slide right off my hand and right off my hair when I do soaking wet. But if so damp, I have more moisture but way less definition so idk what to do…

Beautiful. Have you tried shingling your hair? Or adding warm water instead of temperature water?

So why was I nodding when you said "can you guys see that?" like you can see me!! 🤣 But the wet side looks a lot smoother, shinier and more defined. Damp definitely more voluminous.

I think you have video on bentonite clay but you should try rhassoul with honey and coconut milk. Perhaps some oils. It should help with frizz and really define the whole curl from root to end.

Is your hair dominant fine or medium textured? I am not talking about density. What protective or low manipulation hairstyles do you wear for length retention?

You fluffed like 100 times.... then you say there is frizz. Stop retouching your hair. Fluffing and re fluffing. Etc.
