I have low density and fine strands as well. I find I can get a fuller looking fro starting from shrunken hair. Stretching the hair takes away from the volume.
The heat stretching thing is so true I (having low-porosity hair) can blow dry my hair a lot without damage while my little sister (who has high porosity) can't.
That's interesting cause I have low P and can't put heat can't put chemicals like texturizing and perms , I have colored my hair several times and found my hair won't grow i have to cut the color out, then my hair seems to just race from my roots, Like my ancestors were saying thank you Soo much for releasing us from that chemical prison , Pluses my hair is auburn Soo , i guess I'm recently accepting that no other people accept my bloodline defines some of me
@@angelvenus-africa4161 you might have fine strands and OP might have coarse strands. Strand diameter is something that determines fragility of hair as well.
This video made me realize my hair is definitely low porosity. I always thought I was somewhere in the middle. Thanks for the fantastic info, as always.
This is by far, one of the best descriptions of hair typing. Done with excellence and a level of professionalism. Thank you for bringing the science behind hair care. You are why I tune into You tube!!😊❤
Aww thank u so much @greenbeauty. Almost 10 months after my 2nd big chop I now understand why my hair likes some sort of blow drying to really stretch it out. 😍😍😍 Game changer. 🔥🔥💃🏽 Low porosity, thick, dense, high shrinkage. ☺️
This video is so informative! I am finally understanding my hair at 45 years old!☺️ I have always loved my hair I just didn't understand it! I thank GOD for people like you who decided to share your knowledge.... Thank you so much!
I love how much research you do for your videos. Your herb videos are my favorite the way you present the information helps me add what I need to my hair routine. Thanks for sharing💝.
I think I just found my hair type twin lol. My hair, and ends look just like yours and I have the most trouble with keeping my hair moisturized and my ends give me such a hard time. I definitely just subscribed and I'm will be binge watching your videos. This was so professional and helpful. Thank you!! ❤❤
I so wish I saw this video before cutting 9 inches off my hair. I didn't use heat to dry my hair often as I thought it wasn't good for my hair.. But when I did use a low heat, my hair seemed to be in a much better condition. This video made so much sense to me. Now I have future reference. Thank you 😊
omg soooo glad I clicked on this video!! I am just starting to really get into taking care of my natural hair, and I was about to chop like 4-5 inches off because my ends are so sparse, so I thought I just had alot of breakage and my hair was falling out Glad I did my research first!! :)
Porosity was the game changer for me. When I first went natural I wasted so much time and products worring about hair type 🙄 When I found out about prorosity, I finally understood why the LOC method wasn't working for me and I actually needed LCO 🙌🏽
I know this comment was 3 years ago but I've used the LOG(Leave-in, Oil, Gel) method and its worked wonders tbh creams are just wayyy to thick for my hair
Hey, I've just found your videos and they are so interesting and informative! I've been no poo for over a year and your vids have helped me so much! Thank you!
Your hair is lovely. Nice to see you again. I think I'm low porosity but never really checked or made it a deal. I'll have to check and start caring for my hair based on its porosity and see if that helps.
You are so right! I was just telling my Husband that less water works in our baby's hair (She's three)I used to spray bottle to soak it down, and it never seemed to penetrate. Thanks so much for the video, And the Graphics are AMAZING, You can tell you put GREAT effort into this. KUDOS and Thanks Peace Sister 💛
THANK YOU. Simple. Straightforward. High on useful information. Low on filler chatter. I have LoPo and cannot figure it out. I would love it if you would do a video on how to determine if your hair is protein sensitive and how to eliminate excess shedding. I am LoPo with fine hair and medium density. Thanks.
Love your vids!! I've learned my low porosity/density fine and multi-texture strands prefers leave in conditioners after air drying. When applied while wet, it makes my dried hair hard. My cuticles are tight lol! I've just discovered Qhemet Biologics and I love it! Moisture for days
Thank you for this. It is good that you covered this. Also, I love the graphics. Last year, I talked about using a high porosity product and loving it in a video.
You are amazing. i wish we could be BFF. I subscribed yesterday and have been binge watching your videos. I have been natural 5 long years and was getting ready to go back to relaxing as this is beyond frustrating, I should be past shoulder length by now, but I digress, you should have 1 billion followers just based on the science! I won't give up, I love my hair and will press in, I will not perish for lack of knowledge!
After stressing and pondering what type of hair I have over a period time. I finally came to the conclusion. I have medium porosity, med density, med thickness. Medium everything.
A new subscriber here. I enjoy watching your videos. They’re more like professional tutorials. Thanks for all you God. Please I have low porosity hair but my hair dries out pretty faster than I learnt from this video today. Is anything wrong with my hair??
Where all my fellow low po girls? Hiiiiiiiii❤👋🏾
🙋🏽♀️
Hi
Oops...I’m hi po.....haha I’m a 🦛
Hey girl👋
🙋🏽♀️
Low porosity, low density, fine strands. I’m so jealous of you girls with thick and dense hair. I want a big fro too 😭😭😭
Me too!. At least you have the length (I saw your video).😀
I have low density and fine strands as well. I find I can get a fuller looking fro starting from shrunken hair. Stretching the hair takes away from the volume.
The Whoever, me too. But with shrunken hair comes tangles for me. I prefer stretching and embracing the frizz for a fuller look.
I’m also low Po, low density and fine strands and I’m so over it. Literally every style I wear looks thin and lifeless 😩
Same
Your videos are so professional. I feel like I’m watching a training DVD for work 🤣. Are you a doctor or chemist?
Shes a chemist
Right!!!
@@Lucky-uz6jk oh cool . nice to know

Please could you look into creating an interactive quiz of that classifying of natural hair?
Yes! Great idea.
@ashokababy rg will do! Thank you!
