I've been eating Carnivore mostly beef and eggs for a year now. I naturally fast by eating this way. My starting weight was 235lb 6 months into it I was 160lb and I've maintained a weight of 160lb-165lb since I hit that weight.

I did it for two weeks and it was the best two weeks. I ate like two steaks and 6 eggs every day. Sometimes two meals a day, but I ate enough that I didn’t really need to eat more than once or twice a day. No cravings, had a lot of energy, and slept so good.

I was actually surprised how good i felt after the first 24 hours. I woke up awake, i wasn't as hungry as i thought i'd be. To introduce your body to new food you should start with fat. I personally break my fast with bacon. Thanks for all you do.

@@kellywhoiwannabe2440I recommend having a glass of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar along with your bacon.
Water + apple cider vinegar has electrolytes and aids the acidity level in your stomach to help digestion. It also has short chain fatty acids.
It works for me for regular intermittent fasting and one day fasting.

Having read a lot on fasting (and I'm talking traditional water fasts) and this reading was from very old sources as well as new stuff, and this was before fasting was trendy; the general consensus was to break your fast with something very gentle and easy to digest, like fruit. This is especially true for longer fasts. It can actually be dangerous how you break your fast if it's a long water fast. I don't think I'd ever recommend bacon personally, despite your experience.

Longest water fast I’ve done is 12 days summer of 2020. First 3.5 days were ROUGH. After that my body accepted it wasn’t getting food. On days 7-9 I felt inexplicable euphoria and joy. I also felt more spiritually connected than I’ve ever been. I was focusing on prayer during that time too. Since then I’ve tried to do it again but longest I’ve done is 5 days.

I have been intermittent fasting for a few years now and been practicing various levels of detox fasting too. I also gave up coffee a year ago and the fasting repercussions were headaches. Then I began cutting out sugar and that's when a whole other level of physical and mental shifts began. In my experience, coffee withdrawal is intense, but somewhat short lived. But the sugar withdrawal is brutal...and a much longer process of healing. Electrolytes are an imperative part of a water fast not being painful. And, An0maly, green tea is a great 🍵alternative for a healthy way to wake up. Try that - organic and non gmo- and you will see longer term results of changing your overall health.👌

That's amazing because that's just about what I do whenever I get sick. I make my own bone broth from animals that I raise and harvest myself so it's all organic. Whenever there's a sickness that runs through the family (usually comes from my school age grandkids) I'm always the first person to recover by far! My husband and son refuse to drink it because of the taste...they prefer "conventional" meds like alka-seltzer cough and cold...silly boys😂
You're absolutely correct. Headaches can come from suddenly quitting coffee...it's a caffeine deprivation. It only last for a few days.

Mind clarity and becoming metabolically sound are the side effects. That’s my experience. Rock on brother!! One of the few honest reporters I’ve seen to date (55yrs old). I been on a unconventional diet for several months & have lost alot of extra weight while maintaining alot of muscle, I was starting to get pretty out of shape, was eating terribly, fast foods & junk foods, + was on like 5 big farm guy meds, I was well over 200 pounds by 2020-2021 & thought I shouldn't continue to live that way figuring how things went at the time, got off all the meds 1 at a time, then started eating healthy in 2022, and now im 6'1, 178, mainly muscle, getting daily excercise & healthy eating everyday, and feel way better than I have since I was a kid.

I think you should add more health/fitness related videos to your repertoire as you walk the walk and you have the perfect physique. You are also super attractive, so many will gravitate towards you for your priceless advice. Have you considered sharing your skin care routine? You have perfectly vibrant skin and many (including myself) would love to know your secrets to having perfect skin! These are just my two cents, as a healthcare worker who tries to advocate for clean eating and exercise. Y to go cold turkey w caffeine made it a little more rough. For sure better to wean down first. Also because of the protein in bone broth you won't get all the benefits of a pure water only 3 day fast...but now that you are initiated, that could be your next goal. And the first meal back should be easy to digest and a slow return to calories. Want to avoid refeeding syndrome. Glad to see you tried it and your perspective. Almost anything that is not the Standard American Diet of overly processed foods and or fast food, is an improvement. Big food industry takes out all the good stuff out food to increase shelf life and added sugar, Fructose being the most harmful and addictive. Metabolic diseases and premature aging is the result. You can be not fat and unhealthy. I lost 75 pounds finally after years of trying just to eat right. By changing my whole lifestyle, mind, body, sleep, hydration, I feel thankful to God for giving me a second change through a system with support that provided the convenience for consistency in nutrient dense intake, regularly. At 67, I feel better than I did at 40. I have more energy. I feel free, that I have found what will work for my lifetime. Anom0ly is a good role model for taking care of the whole self.

I was there my friend. Just like you until my late 30s. Do yourself a favor. Learn to cook and eat at home. Eat out rarely. Industrialized agro is poisoning those who eat out all the time. Fast casual and fast food chains are inescapable now and when you’re stressed it’s easy to fall for the convenience and get hooked and addicted. Most everything they make is filled with chemicals and making once healthy weighted people sick and thick now. Inflation is making it worse. They are cutting corners and using nasty industrialized cheap oils and even more toxic ingredients. Plus learning to cook for yourself becomes cathartic in breaking down your stress levels. Eating out is no longer enjoyable, but gross.

5:50 When you drink coffee (and this goes for alcohol too and other substances) your body tries to correct the effects it does to you so if you drink it regularly, you will naturally have to increase the amount you drink over time in order to get the same effect. Good on you to notice that and to stop it. We humans get addicted to things too easily. You will get headaches from both coffee and sugar withdrawals. I experience them regularly when i stop drinking caffeine as i try not to rely on it everyday.

I know I have witnessed a bottle of Mountain Valley Spring water on your desk in a stream before, that should have all the natural electrolytes you need in it,no need to buy something extra. There are very few bottle waters that have natural nutrition to them.Evian is another and used to be prescribed for ailments in France. I always try to source s glass bottle though, that's why I choose the MV.

Probably simmer stovetop or microwave, like soup.
