I'm not usually a big river kind of guy, more a back country fly fishing guy. But your videos insipired me to check out this river and I'm happy to say that it's worked out well for me and it'll keep my winter fishing cravings satisfied!
I actually watched this last night but I forgot to comment. It wasn't till I seen your comment on my recent upload, it then dawned on me about this ha. Rainys are a lot of fun. That 2nd one of just under 3lb was a lovely fish. Great clean looking fish too which is good to see. They usually are in the likes of that waterway.
All good re commenting. Yeah, I enjoy catching rainbows and just getting out and about on the river beds. Yes, the second rainbow was a nice clean wee fish and that waterway does produce some good fish. Thanks 👍
Been river fishing for years an not once have i brought a fishing licence and i never will. My favourite fishing is surfcasting for gummies and elephant fish.

Nice video, i love it. i will visit NZ next month. any idea fishing spot that i can do spin fishing there? i never catch any trout before :(
