Abbe Lane, who played Beebe Gallini in this episode, was once married to bandleader Xavier Cugat. (Cugat helped a young Desi Arnaz get started in the music business, and after he and Lane got divorced married Charro!)
They were 2 different houses. The one on the outside was only a single story and they added a fake window in front to make it look like it had a second story.
This always makes me wonder because Mike in this scene says it's a 9-bedroom house. But, later on in the series Greg and Marcia are fighting for their own space in the attic because there aren't any extra rooms for their own space. boys have 1 room they share girls have 1 room they share parents 1 room Alice has her own room if you count the den that's 5 rooms that means 4 are left why put Greg in the attic and not just his own room, as well as Marcia?
Ever heard of him saying it more than once? No? re-watch the series again, later much. I am also aware that Google says it's a 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom house. That wasn't the point of my first post, but let's do the math. I don't count the Den as a bedroom, it's more of a utility room. I know Carol has said, "What's a bedroom?" meaning anything could be converted into 1, but for the sake of argument, I am eliminating that as Google doesn't count that either. The boys have 1 bedroom The girls have 1 bedroom Parents have 1 bedroom Alice has 1 bedroom That still leaves 1 room unaccounted for. Greg could have used that room, and Mike could have kept the den and or Marcia could have had that room, and Greg could still have the attic having everyone win. the point I am making is, he has said it numerous times that he has either had a 9-bedroom home, or a multiple-bedroom home. And the fact is, they had rooms to spare that they didn't need to have an attic for. I am explaining this, so no one else comes at me about this lol.
@@kristinadospoy7347 Of course! but it was work, and work is money to feed the family. By the way, it would have added something different, not always everything so perfect in the family.
But that's not what happened... 😂 BB was being difficult and tracked him down AT HIS HOME on a day he WASN'T supposed to be working. Mike had nothing to do with that.
I know this episode well and still can't wrap my head around BeBe just appearing at Mike's home like that, and on a Saturday. We all know which specific names she deserves to be called.
In those days BeBe was the stereotypical female executive who was a total narcissist, oblivious to others, pushy and bossy to the point of being obnoxiously domineering. It's too bad some girls emulated this sort of behavior, and other similar examples, of how a woman in charge needs to act to be taken seriously in the upper levels of business that's still dominated mainly by men.
That is very well said. Unfortunately women haven´t been taught how to act as bussiness women so we do what we can so as to fit. I am not like that woman at all, but I´ve seen that behaviour as you say.
During my lifetime I've witnessed several generations of young girls grow into adulthood. Each new group has become increasingly empowered and gone from assertive to aggressive to domineering. Of course not all, and not even most...but more than a few of these women act, in some settings or situations, like Rambo school's top graduates---which I'm quite confident was not what earlier feminists had in mind for the future for our gender.
Absolutely great show great chemistry great characters great theme song 🙂
It was the Shakespeare of it’s day!

2:13 - It looked like she was about to laugh 🤭.

It did.

Not her calling carol little woman 😂
Mike was awfully chill about losing a such a lucrative contract.
It´s ridiculous. Also, that he didn´t pay any attention to the woman.
Peter's airplane literally saved Mike from a nervous breakdown.
So did Bobby and Cindy.
The house seems ginormous from the inside but regular size from the outside.

The kids indirectly did their parents a favor by unintentionally driving the other woman out
She was there for bussiness and the kids made him lose a lot of money. In reality he wouldn´t have liked it, neither his bosses.
@@LauRa-re9un I don't think Carol would've liked it if Mike had gotten the contract from Beebe though.
