It would be cool, but unfortunately, it’s never going to happen. The best you could hope for, is somebody making it into an Airbnb. But I doubt they would do that, because it would be too much wear and tear. The neighborhood is a pretty well off neighborhood and they already are on edge about all of the people who stop by to take pictures. if it were a museum, it would be 100 times worse. Not to mention, there’s no parking for anything like that there. They would have to buy the adjoining properties and knock them down to do so and I doubt the neighbors are going to be very happy about that. not to mention, zoning would never allow it. That entire neighborhood is a Giant filming location... Meaning that, a lot has been filmed within a 5 mile radius of that house. A lot of houses in that neighborhood have been used in different productions. Now imagine if you were the owners of that house and people were stopping by taking pictures in front of it all the time. It is why they originally put the fence up before it got sold to HGTV. Then they removed the fence. Somebody won the house and then sold it and the new owners I’m sure are concerned about overzealous fans. It’s one thing to stand on the street and the sidewalk to take pictures, though there’s going to be some people who want to push it. By knocking on the door or ringing the doorbell to ask to come inside. Which I’m sure has happened or more than one occasion. you also have to understand that whoever bought it spent a lot of money for it. From what I understand, it was north of $3 million. Which is crazy. That house, in my area of Maryland or central PA, would be worth $200,000-$300,000. Possibly a little more, but not too much more. But that is California for you. Take the normal price that people would pay for a house anywhere else and multiply it by 10 times.
@@MeltWithU For $3 million it should be a mansion! Maybe someone should have built a replica somewhere else other than Los Angeles where the real estate values would be more reasonable. After all it is a single family home, furnished with 1970s decor, and an antique television set. I grew up in a similar house, so I guess it was four bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a garage, maybe $500,000 would be a reasonable amount to pay for that.
I have to tip my hat to the prop department at Paramount Pictures Studios for preserving all the props from the iconic tv series. A very Brady monumental task.

The house is an architectural mid century modern masterpiece. The house should be put on the National Registry of Historic Homes, and be preserved for all time as a national cultural icon.

1969 was okay, but it was Friday nights from 1971 to 1973 that were magical. No TGIF block ever came close to the classic Brady Bunch/Partridge Family/Room 222/Odd Couple/Love, American Style lineup of that time. It was that exact lineup that TV Land chose to reassemble in 1997 for their one-night Time Warp.
Just really heartwarming to see this. The Brady Bunch has been an integral part of American culture and I grew up watching them. What the city did in renaming the street and declaring it Brady Bunch day - this house is definitely a historic landmark. I look forward to what the Brady children will do in the future. Maybe they can find some dopplegangers of the parents and Alice? Thank you so much HGTV. What an amazing contribution.
Very cool to see this generous preview before the September airing. You can tell that all the “kids” were happy to be there, and a bit emotional looking at the final result.
The home used for the exterior shots of this classic sitcom has finally gotten the attention it deserves. Hopefully, a museum is in the works for this greatly renovated home? On second thought, that might be a difficult task to insert a commercial entity within a residential neighborhood.
Thank you for compiling this. The Brady Bunch was such a big part of my upbringing. This neighbourhood was so similar to where I grew up. The problem is that HGTV and GMA, etc are not shown in Australia so it was hard for me to find the renovation show. I hope they do make one final special in the house. Just for closure. A dramatic special with the Brady kids as they are, all grown up and moving on.
This right here is the only reason I would want to go to California. I love The Brady Bunch I love their house and I would love to go take a tour of this 💕💕
Call me crazy, but YOU will understand. Being a native of the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, I finally realized my lifelong dream of visiting Los Angeles and Southern California, but not until I was in my late 40's. Finding The Brady Bunch house was a priority and thankfully my host was understanding of this. He took me to it and I just stood out in the street and stared at it, walking up and down the sidewalk for at least an hour. This was before the HGTV acquisition so Mrs. McCallister was still residing there. I didn't impose on anyone or go beyond the brick fence, I just wanted to experience the house and the neighborhood to allow my dream come true soak in.
Knowing in real life (on the soundstage) that the stairs led up to no where, ive always wondered where the 3 bedrooms were actually located (on the soundstage). Thank you Mike Lookinland for FINALLY answering that question! The 3 bedrooms were actually located on the otherside of the front door!
I remember there were a second set of stairs leading to the attic that Marsha and Greg fought over in a episode. Funny when I was a kid, it never occurred to me when I looked at the outside shots of the house, that there was no place that attic could fit.
Just watched this after having Brady Brunch on tv in the background while doing stuff. I was 7-12yrs old while show was on Great job HGTV and Brady Bunch cast.
I met Florence Henderson many times at my job at a hotel. Incredibly nice lady. How many times a day did she have to hear stories about people’s favorite “Brady Bunch” memories? Probably a zillion, yet she would happily reminisce with you anytime you wanted to talk about the show.
I would actually love to live in that house, ha! So much more character than houses today and I thought it was actually awesome. Fabulous job reproducing the iconic Brady house! I, too, missed the ones that have passed on but thanks for doing this incredible project.
wow ,i want to move in lol, i grew up watching the bradys, every friday night at 8 pm cause the era i grew up in 70s my bedtime was 9 unless i had permission to stay up. well im 59 now and still watch bradys on my terms lol i have whole series in a box covered in green shag carpet ,my bedroom had purple shag carpeting, and have all movies . bradys is my escape from reality just as Gilligans island which i watch also. bless you guys for doing this 💚💜💚💜
Wow. I grew up watching the Brady's. Luv the show...the house is so iconic. Glad they can make it a reality can't wait to watch the episodes on TV. Its particularly hard not to see Florence, Reed, and Ann
That location at 11222 Dilling Street intersects with Klump Ave, just to the west and almost directly across from the house. Klump was the first street I lived on... as an infant! CBS Radford Studios is about 3K' directly west, where my dad was working on "Get Smart" when the BB was in production at Paramount, where he later worked as a Key Grip on "TaxI" with Danny Devito & would spar with Tony Danza during breaks.
As amazing it is to see this house renovation - it was equally great to see all six 'kids' looking healthy and happy. Without exception they've all aged gracefully and still look remarkably younger than their ages. And it's cool they had a hand in helping with the actual renovation! Watching Brady Bunch as a kid was a big part of this 58yr-olds childhood - fond memories. Kudos to everyone for a job well done!
Thank you Classic TV & More!! I didn't know about this show until I came across this video! I will watch the renovation happen and happily drift back into time when things were so much more laid back and everyone was not in such a hurry or with their noses stuck in a phone. This show was one of several that I literally could not get enough off. And I was so in love with Greg Brady as all the girls were, lol. Loved this video so much!! Brings back wonderful memories of the show. My favorite though was when the family went to Hawaii, lol. Anyone else? What was your favorite episode or season?
During all this reno I wish the actors would have been called their Brady names! When I see them now, I call them their actor names. Sorry, that’s who I see. You all look great. I gotta say I had a double take with Marsha! She just looks her young self as she did and quite the bubbly same, too, same optimistic tone. Thank you all for the fun reno time this last month! P.S. Also, Appreciation to the 6 actors for being good sports and going along with all this fun tadoo even if they did get paid! (I don’t know or care)! I miss Carol and Alice!
Love it so much! I can never watch Brady Bunch with out wishing that I lived in that house. I was so disappointed when I first realized it was just a set. This has brought my heart so much happiness 🙂
I am 60. I absolutely loved this show. I watched the re-runs as I grew up 100s of times. The best night on TV when I was little was Fridays. Brady Bunch and 7 p.m. Partridge Family at 8 p.m. and, Then Night Stalker at 9 p.m. On Friday nights, I could stay up until 10 so it was perfect. I loved all of these characters.
You know I'm a black man in his sixties so I seen all the original episodes, it just seemed like it was everybody's house regardless of your race, I still watch The Brady Bunch to this day
They all look great, and exactly the same, same smiles, everything. Seriously how many of us don't look like our younger selves when we're over 50 or 60. They all look great.
Even watching that show as a kid, my favorite part was always when they showed those stairs. Those floating stairs like that are so badass and modern looking!! Wasn’t the dad supposed to be like some kind of architect or something? That would have been cool in one of the episodes he could have told a story to the kids about how he designed the house and how the builder tried to talk him out of the stairs, saying it can’t be done. But say kids, it just goes to show you what you can accomplish if you just persevere and stick to your dreams, and don’t give up. Or some kind of fatherly advice like that. Hahahahaha
Crazy classic show but wow! In the mid 70's they would pump and pump RERUNS of everything in those days. We only had like 6 channels and you might get pissed getting a UHF signal kicking the tv a few times. This show did get more popular like some fine wine that you would respect in the early 80's. Yup that was when I loved this show way after it was off the air. I never had known it was that old then at 6 years old!
One of my favorite shows growing up. I remember being a couple of years younger than Cindy Brady and trying to catch up to her. 😅 Loved the show, miss those days of fun family television. 📺
That is so awesome! Its so great to see the cast together for the revelation of the finish house! Is sad that some of the cast members didnt get to see this, may they rip🙏
This house looked so much bigger when I was a kid. Now many many years later I realize looking at it right away it’s a split level but not a two story home. Now I have to not think so hard and enjoy the show.
I'm really glad this got done. This show was such an important show for so many people even long after it ended and to have this now frozen in time "feels right" in a way I can't explain.
I will still watch this show today with memories- my wife says it's too corny. Coming from a broken and poorer home, I still wonder what it would have been like to have a complete family. I liked the morals they had. I would wish for it when I was young. But it could have been worse I guess. I had the biggest crush on the beautiful Marsha.
Lovvve this so much. Even tho I was resourceful, active & generally upbeat, I was a lonely kid at home when not immersed in my music & other interests. This show was a comfort to me
I grew up on a dead end street. The further you went down the street, the rougher it got. I lived at the end of that street in a makeshift tent. I remember watching the show through the window of a neighbor as I froze in the winter cold. The kids inside could see my frost covered face in the window, but never let me inside. I survived by eating field grasses and those little red berries that were on the local bushes. Sometimes there would be a special occasion where I could have a helping of shoe leather to satisfy my hunger. I remember the great stories of the Brady Bunch that have stuck with me from childhood!
I like going back to the time before college, the Marines, a 25 year career with family, friends, and reliving being young, watching the Brady Bunch, with brothers, sisters and friends, again, just before the Partridge Family, and pretending to be a Brady kid again.
A very Brady staircase! I remember when the show was on tv that people would mention the interior shots did not synchronize. I found this video interesting and entertaining.
I'm speechless thank you everyone cast crew all of you you made my childhood and I can tell that also the world to you guys to bring us such history in the beginning I know you all didn't think that's what you were doing but you did it and you did an amazing job all of you! All you cast members again thank you ! ✌🏾🫶🏾💯🙏🏾🥰❤❤

Wasn't that hard to find
You don’t think the neighbors recognized it immediately?
Wasn't hard
Yeah nothing else in CA to see. Forget Disneyland, Yosemite, the Redwoods and Sequoias, beaches, mountains, great weather etc.
@@jaengen The Democrats have ruined it.
I would love to go see this house up close. I hope they turn it into a tour. Wow brought back some great memories.
The house itself is like another Brady. It has its charms, quirks, and surprises.
Barry Sticks out and I can always tell him apart from everyone else in a crowd! Love this show and the way the house looks now
Knowing in real life (on the soundstage) that the stairs led up to no where, ive always wondered where the 3 bedrooms were actually located (on the soundstage). Thank you Mike Lookinland for FINALLY answering that question!
The 3 bedrooms were actually located on the otherside of the front door!
I'm with you. Although Mike didn't make it crystal clear the location of the bedrooms, I too made the same interpretation. Interesting info.
I remember there were a second set of stairs leading to the attic that Marsha and Greg fought over in a episode. Funny when I was a kid, it never occurred to me when I looked at the outside shots of the house, that there was no place that attic could fit.
I'll wait for "That 1970s' Show" house with the moving wallpaper. And the basement... gotta have the basement.
Just watched this after having Brady Brunch on tv in the background while doing stuff. I was 7-12yrs old while show was on Great job HGTV and Brady Bunch cast.
You're Old like the rest of us LoL
I absolutely loved the BUNKBEDS!❤❤❤
This show made my heart smile thank you I'm watching it right now
it made me sad that they couldn't see this come to life they did a good job recreating they would have been so proud 👏rip Florence , Robert and Ann
I met Florence Henderson many times at my job at a hotel. Incredibly nice lady. How many times a day did she have to hear stories about people’s favorite “Brady Bunch” memories? Probably a zillion, yet she would happily reminisce with you anytime you wanted to talk about the show.
Wow. What an amazing job they did.
I would actually love to live in that house, ha! So much more character than houses today and I thought it was actually awesome. Fabulous job reproducing the iconic Brady house! I, too, missed the ones that have passed on but thanks for doing this incredible project.
The house itself is a Brady character.
Classic TV & More You could not have said it better!
wow ,i want to move in lol, i grew up watching the bradys, every friday night at 8 pm cause the era i grew up in 70s my bedtime was 9 unless i had permission to stay up. well im 59 now and still watch bradys on my terms lol i have whole series in a box covered in green shag carpet ,my bedroom had purple shag carpeting, and have all movies . bradys is my escape from reality just as Gilligans island which i watch also. bless you guys for doing this 💚💜💚💜
This was a very well put together show out together. Alot of heart warming moments and memories
Dont forget mike !
Right. They are those characters to me. Heh.
I'd like to have a walk through guest tour with the Brady house. This is awesome. I grew up with the Brady bunch. 😎👍👍👍
Love it so much! I can never watch Brady Bunch with out wishing that I lived in that house. I was so disappointed when I first realized it was just a set. This has brought my heart so much happiness 🙂
Every time I see that dining room table I think of Peter....pork chops and apple sauce! LOL
They did fabulous recreating the house!
Chop's and apple sauce is really good
You know I'm a black man in his sixties so I seen all the original episodes, it just seemed like it was everybody's house regardless of your race, I still watch The Brady Bunch to this day
Thank You for the memories of my childhood growing up with the original tv show The Brady Bunch!!!!
They all look great, and exactly the same, same smiles, everything. Seriously how many of us don't look like our younger selves when we're over 50 or 60. They all look great.
If they actually looked EXACTLY the same, they would not look much older. 😏
@@jamesprior2496 it's called a figure of speech, look it up. Learn something.
@@moviewryter1985 They don't look exactly the same at all, so why say it?!
Hahahahaha
Spikes the football and it bounces up and breaks Maureen McCormack’s nose 🤣
Crazy classic show but wow! In the mid 70's they would pump and pump RERUNS of everything in those days. We only had like 6 channels and you might get pissed getting a UHF signal kicking the tv a few times. This show did get more popular like some fine wine that you would respect in the early 80's. Yup that was when I loved this show way after it was off the air. I never had known it was that old then at 6 years old!
U missed a VERY BRADY CHRISTMAS in 1989 ???????????????????? booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
So, will the house open as a museum? I would pay to see it and would love every minute inside.
Nope sold to a private owner... i doubt that the neighibors would like the traffic a museum would cause
I am 60...to me, was the greatest show on T.V. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
This segment is simply incredible.
Glad they got this done before the covid lockdowns.
I will 💖the Brady Bunch Forever.
This house looked so much bigger when I was a kid. Now many many years later I realize looking at it right away it’s a split level but not a two story home. Now I have to not think so hard and enjoy the show.
They really did a fantastic job ! It was a lot of time and effort !! AND skill.
Just remember...dont play ball in the house beautiful. 😉
I'm really glad this got done. This show was such an important show for so many people even long after it ended and to have this now frozen in time "feels right" in a way I can't explain.
What an incredible transformation and a lot of memories
This is so cool. Great that the original Brady kidd got together and are still friends for this nostalgic event. Hopefully it continues on
Tears of memories.
Chicago love
My absolute favorite show of all times!! ❤❤❤ I love the Brady’s.
Don’t ever feel bad about it. It’s nostalgic and comforting. I get it.
Lovvve this so much. Even tho I was resourceful, active & generally upbeat, I was a lonely kid at home when not immersed in my music & other interests. This show was a comfort to me
great job crew.
I wish my dad was still alive. He would have loved seeing this. He always wanted to live in the Brady house.
So awesome to see it completed!
This is very exciting and unprecedented. Too bad The Partridge Family's house exterior is just a facade on a backlot and not a real house.
Yo what lol
I like going back to the time before college, the Marines, a 25 year career with family, friends, and reliving being young, watching the Brady Bunch, with brothers, sisters and friends, again, just before the Partridge Family, and pretending to be a Brady kid again.
I enjoy time travel as well.

A Braby reboot? That would be a "blast from the past"
Yeah dude
Love the USC arching band, the Trojans drum cadences move me, what a great idea to add to that fun.
