    Tips on How to Cook the Best Instant Pot Pork Chops
    -Why are My Instapot Pork Chops Tough & Dry?
    Many Instant Pot users often ask how long to cook pork chops in Instant Pot to achieve juicy tender pork chops. The #1 reason for tough & dry pork chops is overcooking!
    Pork chops are usually quite lean and will become tough once they are overcooked.
    For the best result, use bone-in pork chops (rather than boneless pork chops) that are well-marbled. The bone will act as a shield for the surrounding meat. A thicker cut of pork chop will work better in the Instant Pot as it is less likely to overcook.

    In the video, the caption stated natural release but I thought I saw the instant pot switched to venting and steam came out?

      In case you missed it it said in the video for a 8 minute natural release. She probably did a time laspe in the video and released it after the 8 minutes to shorten the video. Have a blessed day.

    Ok, it's August here so I am on strike for cooking when this hot. I don't get how can you cook four or six pork chops for Zero Minutes? why you didn't add your potatoes in? That and instructions for round eyes on how to cook simple white rice in this?

    I cooked 7 1/2” think center cut chops for 0 mins and a 5 minute release. They were still quite overdone likely because I seared them prior to cooking. The sauce had incredible flavour. I chose to sauté mushrooms and onions before cooking the chops.
    Will definitely make this again and will reduce the cooking time for the thinner cut chops.
    A+ for flavour!!

      @@part3girl while the pressure cooker is heating up with 0 minutes it may take 7 to 9 minutes to heat up the pork chop is cooking during that time and then when it reaches the pressure it'll shut off so it doesn't overcook I suppose

    Hi Amy and Jackson. You don't need to marinade the pork chops? You cooked them for a long time, won't it make the pork chops dry?

    • @smileytow1925
      @smileytow1925 4 роки тому +6

      yinyanchan did you watch this video? She tenderized them with the back of a knife before she browned them, then pressure cooked the for O zero min with An 8 minute natural pressure release. I am going to make this recipe! It looks yummy!

      We’re setting the pressure cooking time to 0 (zero) minute because we’re using the heat generated during the “up to pressure” and “depressurizing” (i.e. when Instant Pot is natural releasing) stages to cook the food. Let us know if you have any other questions. Have fun cooking! :)

      @@LuLu-cj8bs Click on the link for the recipe. It contains the list of ingredients as well as the instructions and an explanation for why you set the pressure cook time at 0. The IP will take up to 8 minutes to come up to pressure. Meanwhile, your chops are cooking. They will continue to cook during the natural release (which takes several minutes, as opposed to the quick release).

      So you want them to do your shopping for you? There's not that many ingredients and if you don't have everything, improvise and adjust.
