Just ordered it from you. Thanks for looking out for us. I have a 2006 SD Lariat. Truck is solid. I have done everything to keep up on maintenance. It did have a new oil cooler installed 10 years ago at 61,000 miles (give or take). Current deltas are representative of a clear cooler and in spec. BUT....with 183K on the truck now it will likely need a rebuild / updating in the next few years. Money well spent, thanks again. I really enjoying your videos, keep up the good work.

I bought a spare one month back when the prices were still lower. It's the USA version. This is happening with all the parts for our 6.0L. It's been 21 years since the 6.0L was in production, maybe 12 since they stopped making them. No manufacturer keeps making parts forever.

This is so depressing! And (putting on my tinfoil-covered trucker's cap) this is how the corporate globalists are using back-door means to get older internal-combustion vehicles off the road. Similar to the de facto pew-pew control by making it harder/more expensive to get the pews and the parts. I have been considering purchasing a 6.0 truck recently and am learning everything that I can about them. Considering how critical the parts quality is especially in the high-pressure oil system, this is really bad news. Thanks for updating us on this!

I was bit by this when I rebuilt my motor last summer. Got an 'oem' Ford cooler and got the Dorman. At the time I could not locate anything better, so I stuck it in. I did use Felpro gaskets/orings rather than the Dorman ones. So far, so good. But I might just be one of the lucky ones. If/when it goes I will either use the bullet proof kit or the IPR kit which is oil over water (which I prefer, for my personal reasons).

Writing from Canada here. Thanks for all your great Powerstroke content. I am currently looking at replacing a cheap Amazon oil cooler on my 2004 F350. Went and ordered the Ford OEM oil cooler kit and sure enough, it arrived and was the new craptastic made in China component that I do not intend to install (Kit #YO-25). Did some digging and the Diamond Advantage Navistar kit is available up here for only $2500 Canadian pesos. Ugh. May as well go BulletProofDiesel oil cooler at that point. Anyways, if there's any way you could make a deal with me north of the border for one of your coolers then please let me know-otherwise I think I'm just going to sell the truck with the existing cooler that hasn't yet failed. If good parts for these trucks are going to be that hard to find then it may be time to reconsider some of my life decisions...
