- Hey friends,
It’s release day! I’m super proud to say that my new song “Transgression” is out today on the big streaming platforms. Like all of my songs I released since 2020, Transgression has been performed and recorded completely live (with all the happy and unhappy accidents 🫠) using Ableton Live (Drums + melodic samples), Push 2 (performance effects), Elektron Digitone (lead + pads) and Moog Sub 25 (bass + arp). “Transgression” is the 2nd part of a series of three songs I will release as singles throughout the year. “New Dawn” was already released at the beginning of the year, my track “Ghost” will mark the end of this series and I can’t wait to share that hopefully very soon.

As much as I enjoyed your earlier Elektron -only jams, I think the addition of the Moog and the Push 2 has added more depth to your tracks. Excellent work as always!

I have much the same hardware but nowhere near as much talent. Still, it's inspiring to see what can be done in the hands of a pro. Like many, I've acquired more gear rather than really focusing on what I already have. You've obviously taken another path and it shows! @@MilesKvndra
@@bo-bodad8253 thanks a lot! Yeah I think focusing on the gear that you have and learn it can be super rewarding in terms of what you get out of it. I’m still trying to further improve my setup for playing live and it’s really nice. Although I have to avoid the GAS sometimes is still strong 😁

Amazing! Just seeing you grow as you improve your tools reveals who you are as an artist. Can't beat that Moog sub-bass. I have M-32 and Mintaur and I always lust after the Sub25/37...ahhhhh
Thank you! And thanks for being part of this journey for such a long time already, really appreciate that. And yeah, there is something about the Moog Subs that is just lovely. I do fairly little processing in my productions to it. But M-32 and Minitaur sounds like a really nice combo too!

That insane! What are your tips to beginn with music making? Keyboard lerning? Music theory? Or just start learning ablron\ fl studio?
Thank you! And Puh that’s tough, both are good ways to get going - but I’d always say go with what you feel more excited of. Ableton has a 30 day free trial so that’s a good way to start and see if you like it!
How do you keep all the sounds in harmony? Do you make sure you’re playing all in one key? (I’m still learning )
Yeah exactly - this song is for example in f minor which helps me a lot when composing

@@neonpop80 I used to work out of keys but found it way harder to come up with melodies and progressions. So now I try to stick with it

Thank you! I still have the M-32 and will definitely keep it. I use it now more like an experimentation machine, trying stuff with the patch bay and dialing in some crazy values. Before I was always afraid to loose my personal preset for the M-32 but now I have that stored as a preset on the Sub 25 and can go crazy with the M-32. :)
@@MilesKvndra already thought that the switch to the sub might have something to do with saving sounds. It can drive me crazy, when I can't get back to a certain sound on my semi modular 😄

@@AngMoKio8 exactly that. Having preset is just super convenient and encourages me more to explore the synth’s sound design capabilities as I know I have a safe state to go back to. Doesn’t work on the semi modulars but really discovering the M-32 in a different way now. :)
